***Official November 2013***

If I'm gonna have a problem, I like having a good problem to have. :)
I so wish I would have stuck to my desire to leave 2 days earlier. I'd be below 80 days to go. ;)

But I'm glad I only have 81 days to go.
And that this weekend being a long weekend we were able to make plans to be away a couple days over the weekend. It's not Disney but it's time away.

Wishing you all :goodvibes and pixiedust:

Why is it that the smiley I want is always in the more section when I need it?:confused3

Now, now, let's not rush things. I want to enjoy the planning some more!
And I'm still working on perhaps perfecting my Chef Mickey's time and getting 'Ohana for my husband. I wonder why they don't open up reservations for 4:30 seatings like they do at other restaurants?

I have also noticed that about the smilies...why do they have to rotate them anyway? Do some smilies feel left out?

Pinterest is a great place to look for all kinds of Disney countdowns. I'm very pleased with the one I made. I did get the idea from the ones I saw on Pinterest.

We're not going away this weekend (there's the whole hubby works retail, so it's a long weekend for me but it's just any other day for him), but we both took some time off in Sept. for a mini-getaway down the Cape.

Never thought of that. Must be they don't want others to feel left out. However I don't use a lot of the other ones. Maybe I better start. :rotfl:

Oh I'm not rushing it, believe me. :hourglass
Between charts and schedules and paper work to support my son, I have plenty of "planning" to do.

I just got off the phone with Disney Rewards people. Now I have to decide if I apply the points to this vacation, or keep saving and use them for another vacation. Of course that sounds like a no brainer but......

I'm going 11/14 to 11/23.

My first time, and the timing is perfect to celebrate my birthday (not planned that way but will be there on my bday) :cool1:

Would I be counting the day we leave as part of my countdown (Late check-in)?? Always a debate! :confused3

Any advice/tips??

If I remember correctly, not until about 30 days or less. I think I've heard of some people not getting theirs until about 2 weeks before. We never do ME though, so I'm not 100% positive, but I know that at 77 days left, you've got a ways before you see it.

I'm 72 days out and I got my ME tags like a month ago. Seemed really early for me.

See all of you in November!

I set mine to match the "My Disney Experience" count down.
I can't remember if it was the actual day I leave or the day before.
I will adjust when it gets to single digits if I have to. :goodvibes

I'm having a silimar conundrum ... do I use my Disney rewards on my WDW trip in November, or on my December DLR trip ... or let them build up another year for the big DLR trip in November 2014? Both this trip and my December weekend are supposed to be quickie budget trips, so does that mean I should use the rewards for less OOP or since there are almost no splurges, just not use them at all? Its a good conundrum to have ... ;)
When should we expect our ME packet? We have 77 days too go? Has anyone else received them?
I haven't gotten mine but some DVC'ers who are going around the same time as me have ... so since I wanted to get mine I finally called my ME in.

I notice this frequently too ... I'm glad you said something because I didn't realize they rotate so thought I was just crazy for thinking it wasn't in the right hand column last time ...

Yay birthday! B-day trips are awesome! I always count from the day I land/check in. We do red-eye flights, so for us that means its a day longer but getting on the plane isn't really "starting" the trip, arriving is to us ...

I'm glad some people like the planning because to tell you the truth it's been giving me anxiety and headaches. First it was trying to get the fd,which after two hours on hold was still worth it. Then getting all the adrs I want and with that mde not always working right that drove me nuts. Now I'm still waiting for the dessert party to open up so I can get it for 11/10 and that's the only day since my sister will be there the week before and she leaves on the 11th. And we still got these magic bands to deal with plus I need to do early ticket pickup because it's my only way of getting into the dessert party. I just hope there's no problems with getting my tickets early even if it means going to guest services and crying which is probably what I'll do if they say no because by that time I won't be able to get my money back. This trip is making me exhausted and I'm not even there yet.

But on a happier note, 75 more days to go!!!

The only thing that was giving me real anxiety was booking the airfare. I know everything else will work out in the end. : ) Good luck getting the dessert party you want!

Oh Babydoll I hear your pain!
I'm a planner and like things in place before I get there. But life hasn't always thrown me the right pitches to get there.
My favorite line with my husband and sons now is "What's the worse thing that can happen and how do I handle that?" and then "what is the best thing that can happen (after I've waited) and what will that mean for us?"

Sending my :goodvibes and hoping for your pixiedust:

When does the dessert party "open up"? When I check, it's on the ADR website but says there's nothing available. I just thought that it was full and I couldn't get an ADR.

Thank you both. I forgot about the airfare. But I finally got that done two weeks ago. The prices were just ok but I didn't want to wait too long. 122$ going down and 165 back each. I don't think I'll have any problems getting the dessert party ress. But booking it on a day when my pkg starts the next day is a little nerve racking. Our trip was planned 11/11-11/17 but did a ro ress on the 10th to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday at the dessert party so my sister can surprise her there. As far as she knows, my sister is camping in Maine.

November has not opened yet. There expecting it to open in the next week but I check every day. Subscribe to the dessert party thread so you can stay posted.

Make sure and sign up for SJS314's thread here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3144695

And, when November opens up, if you call, the CM may not be aware that the Dessert Party is open, so ask them to check again.

I use the day we are leaving here for our countdown even though that is the 15th and we don't check in until the 17th but we wouldn't be home to finish the countdown, so it ends the last day we are there.

:cheer2:

But my countdown calendar is still set like we are going December 1st. Still don't know if I want to change it or tell the two little girls 'surprise we are leaving early' kind of thing... :upsidedow

I actually do have fun planning and never have any anxiety really. It was the same for my wedding, although, it probably helps that we got married in Jamaica and the only people who attended were the inlaws and they were responsible for themselves, so I didn't have to worry at all.

My biggest "anxiety" with planning this trip was that I had a crappy TA. When FD came out, she was useless. I ended up cancelling with her and re-booking for the FD with the one I normally use. (I only went with that awful one because I booked at at AAA Travel Show and they had both a Disney and an AMEX gift card special if you booked there.) My regular TA is also with AAA and she is AWESOME!)
