You all have very cute countdown boards - nicely done! I just have a free countdown app on my phone. That's good enough for me (since I don't have time to make one). It has palm trees in the background, so helps us dream about our upcoming days at the Poly. Good times. Can't wait!!

I'm at 66! I wanted to post a picture but I am so not tech savvy and have no clue how to do it.

A few days ago I was able to get good airfare which enabled us to add almost 2 full days to our trip, and we only needed to add one additional hotel night. Well now its been 4 days and there is no availability at POR for that one night of FD and I'm starting to panic. Of course before we booked our airfare, that night was always showing up for availability all the time, but now nothing. I need some pixiedust from my fellow Disers.

I know you'll get something! Don't panic yet. : )

76... Seriously second guessing surprising my daughter I don't know if I can! I have almost slipped abut 3 times today alone. Just got my Cali grill reservation can't wait!!! I was so happy at 6 am even thigh my husband looked at me like he could care less. He will be thanking me! And if not his loss Now with school starting and my first year co leading a girls out daisy troop, I think time will zoom by

Since I asked about a countdown, I thought I'd share a photo of the countdown that I made over the weekend:

The "Disney Vacation" is a big sticker, but I left it attached to the plastic and used little velcro pieces to attach it so I can change it out and put on the "Disney Cruise" sticker that I also bought, for when we start the 99 day countdown to our cruise.

My hubby kinda stuck his nose up at Cali Grill, too....until he saw how beautiful it was and tasted the food. He still talks about the two dinners we've had there! lol

If I were you I would book RO for the additional night if it is available, you can always change later if that night becomes available for FD.

I agree that is what I would do, but was under the impression that she can't get RO also. Maybe I'm wrong. but especially depending on the time of the flight, she might not have time to enjoy the extra dining that day anyway. I know our last day we are leaving for the airport at check out, so lunch will be at the airport anyway.

Good luck with the decision Coconuts, but I'd at least get the room and then you can keep checking for FD "upgrade". Or look at it this way, you can spend the money from RO discount on food.

I've looked at other resorts for that night but they are more expensive and we would still have to pay for food. At least we have somewhere to stay for the night and will have to eat snacks and CS OOP for the last day. I know, not the end of the world and in the grand scope of things I'm lucky to have such problems.

And IrishLisa, I love the countdown calendar. I wish I had the creativity and patience to do such things.

We did make a RO discount reservation for that extra night, but we are staying at POR, which is only 5%, so obviously FD would give us the better deal. I've looked at other resorts for that night but they are more expensive and we would still have to pay for food. At least we have somewhere to stay for the night and will have to eat snacks and CS OOP for the last day. I know, not the end of the world and in the grand scope of things I'm lucky to have such problems.

And IrishLisa, I love the countdown calendar. I wish I had the creativity and patience to do such things.

If I'm gonna have a problem, I like having a good problem to have.
I so wish I would have stuck to my desire to leave 2 days earlier. I'd be below 80 days to go.

But I'm glad I only have 81 days to go.
And that this weekend being a long weekend we were able to make plans to be away a couple days over the weekend. It's not Disney but it's time away.

If I remember correctly, not until about 30 days or less. I think I've heard of some people not getting theirs until about 2 weeks before. We never do ME though, so I'm not 100% positive, but I know that at 77 days left, you've got a ways before you see it.

"Once your request has been confirmed, an information kit containing baggage tags will be mailed to you approximately 42 days prior to your arrival (United States and Canada only)."
