I have no idea what they delay flights for to be honest. I never had it happen to me because I've been on so few trips in my life.

Ok I just watched the forecast......If you promise to take a deep breath and send I'll promise to do the same. I refuse to let the word "flurry" or the word "More substantial" cause me to go into a bad space.

I believe! I trust! I'm going! I'll pick you up in my plow on the way through NJ. LOL

Flights are delayed or cancelled because of frozen ____ or icy run ways.
From what I can tell the snow is going to be that pretty ooo look it "ssssss"
but as the sun rises everything will be wet.

What time is your fight? Maybe you'll be gone before it comes, or once the sun melts it.

That's what I'm banking on for my flight day.

Good to know, I wasn't sure if active snow and rain delayed things a lot. Our flight is at 9:15am so as long as we don't get delayed too long we will be fine, but I do have a date with Soarin at 3:45 I believe.

I didn't see the newscast, I was just looking at the extended forecast. Now i realize I was only looking at the forecast in my town, not in Newark. We live in a town significantly higher than sea level so we do tend to be a few degrees colder and we get more snow. Just checked Newark and they are only calling for rain. Of course the low for the day is 30 so there could still be a chance of icing, but I do feel better now.

this is half off topic so ill post just once.. actually i started when i was 29 with 2 young daughters because i was heavy, i got myself dumbells, a treadmill, and tony little video. I had to get up at 4 am to exercise before work and then got the kids off to school it wasnt easy.. BUT once i saw the weight start pouring off it was all the motivation i needed.from a size 13 to a 1 in about 6 months total.. I ended up doing many fitness commercials with tony little as a before and after. I am on his web page jodi from new york as a before and after. But i never gave up.he put me on the rikki lake show with him flew me to to laguna beach cali had me film with supermodels and ron duguay, lol it was fun since im just a regular person... Its weight lifting 3 days a week at home with 5 and 10 pound dumbells 3 pounds when i started,and treadmill 3 times a week. I never used a gym. the right workout video not some crazy stuff they sell that kills you. something simple tony little total body workout videos teach you the right technique and they tone you everywhere, so nice, not bulk but very toned for less then an hour each time..Tony teaches you well on those videos.. try that it worked well for me.. at 51 i feel amazing and still maintaining..its dedication and the right workout...if you need any more info or want to pick my brain you can message me any time.. have a nice vacation.. i did my room requests yesterday and today i will pack.. first time in a ecv ever so it will be a challenge but i have no choice i had knee surgery. After this trip back on my feet and back to exercise.. we have such a wonderful trip planned i didnt want to cancel... free dining POFQ woohoo so excited.. got a fast pass for a parade finally to yayayaya

I'd be shocked if you don't get out because of icing. By 9:30 I would think it be warm enough. But what do I know. I'm just guessing. No expert here.

I'm more concerned about my 7:30 flight that keeps bouncing between 7-7:30am. The airport is newly re-open with Jetblue being the only commercial flight going out in the morning. They start this week I believe. So who knows how they will handle the colder weather, but given that they are not waiting until spring like I originally was told, they obviously have a plan.
But I'm thinking and warm thoughts. So I'll meet you down there. You leave a few days before me.

One of our three local weather guys is calling for mixed precip the day before we leave (wed) but another is calling for 57 degrees. Normally I watch carefully cause dh is in charge of keeping roads and sidewalks at job clear, but I don't care, I'll be on my way to 80 degrees!!!!!!!

That mixed precip day is the day I leave

I'll just bundle up and have the snow shovel and salt handy and then it is sure to be nice and warm.

OMG, I just got a fantasmic dining package reservation at Mama Melrose's for 7 people on 11/18! I've been looking for months. The time stinks (2:55) but with the changes to the Fantasmic FP+ I really didn't want to get stuck without a decent seat. We didn't get to see it on our first visit. My FIL doesn't like to eat at weird times, but he is going to have to suck it up. Now of course I have to move all of our FP+ times. I cringe every time I have to do something in MDE and I pray to the FP+ gods that it won't screw everything up.

Anyone need an ADR for 7 at the 50's PrimeTime Cafe around 12:20? I'll be giving that up once I confirm the mama melrose thing with the family.

We have free dining so we would be having a sit down either way, we were just planning on having it somewhere else and at a better time. I jumped on the FP+ when it was offered, but the new no reserved seating thing had me so concerned. If I was going to have to get there super early anyway it didn't see worth wasting a FP. Hope everyone is OK with the later time. If my kids didn't want to do the Jedi thing so much I would just have us go over in the afternoon, but they want to battle Darth Vader so it looks like we will get there at rope drop and go to past close unless I can convince them otherwise.

Thanks! We were planning on the 18th but then changed (not to avoid any of you, I promise!!!). We might change back depending on weather and how we are feeling after three days in a row at the parks. Made the 18th our day to relax but if we are going strong or weather looks better for swimming on the 19th, we might end up seeing you all there still!

You are doing a terrible job getting away from me, we share the same parks on the 15, 16 and 17th!

My oldest wants more pool time, and we were going to go back to the resort on the 19th for the afternoon, but I'm not sure if that is happening now that we got an earlier dinner reservation at 5:15. My head is spinning from looking at the plans. If the two younger ones didn't do Jedi we could do a pool morning on the 18th and then head to HS in the early afternoon. Right now we really don't have enough resort time because we are going to Universal one day. We might get in pool time in the afternoon of that Saturday (11/16) but that would been foregoing the Jingle parade and EE in the dark. So many decisions, this would be easier if I was sure we sure we get back to Disney in within a couple of years.
