***Official November 2013 - Part II*** (that's right....we're that popular!)

Is that a phrase I don't know or a typo?

The little girls will match or coordinate each day but DH will only match DS once and my older DD and I will match that day too. Other than that just hoping to not clash.

Going to make window decorations this weekend, if I can think of something cute and easy.

OMG hahahaha ha so sorry I was distracted and didn't check before I posted. It was supposed to read. "So far I think we will do". Hahaha that's so bad....now you guys must think I am totally nuts. While that may be a bit true I have a form of dyslexia brought on by an illness, so autocorrect has a field day with me. I often don't notice small things but I should have caught that!

Nope not at all!! I just thought maybe it was a colloquialism. I may end up saying 'faring honk' now for funsies though...

I did the magic bands dance today :cool1: I trimmed mine down a bit and took the gray off my youngest daughter's. Everyone else wanted it as is. DH who isn't much of a planner was excited so that made it even more fun for me :yay:

Yup. Then they will see it is all worth it! :) And a buffet is always good for appeasing my husband. :rotfl2: Do you go to TH for breakfast or dinner? I actually cannot decide between the 2, or maybe Boma. But Boma is just so difficult to get to.

Last time we went was 2.5 years ago. Lunch. No characters

Lunch is planned again and apparently is now a character meal. Bonus!

We went to Boma last time but it was a regular dinner, not buffet. I enjoyed it. DH did not (at all) and told me not to bother adding it to the list this time :(. I loved the animal viewing. My dinner was pretty goo and I had the best cup of tea there of all time. I'd like to find that tea and see if I can purchase it somewhere.

For this trip, I am surprising DH with a San Angel reservation. I saw him perk up when we peeked in last time.

This trip I am purposely wearing a Disney shirt each day, but my guys can wear whatever they like- I just wanted to be fun. I have two Maleficent's, Tink, Toy Story, Pluto, Little Mermaid, Monsters, Inc., and PotC. Anybody want to recommend which day to wear which shirts? (we have arrival day, MK day, Epcot day, DHS day, Blizzard Beach/DTD day, resort hop/DTD day, AKL/MK day, and departure day)

I'll play! I took the liberty of adding a random shirt to your list.

Random shirt- Arrival Day.
Tink- MK Day fo' sho'.
Maleficent- Epcot Day.
Toy Story- DHS Day. Especially if heading to TSMM.
Little Mermaid- Water Park Day of course.
Monsters Inc- Resort Hop day. Maybe you could knock on a couple doors and shout "boo".
Pluto-AK morning.
POTC- MK evening. Especially if doing the pirate events or meeting Jack Sparrow of course.
Maleficent- Departure Day...aka fun stopper.

23 days for us! I'm starting to get twitchy. :-P I really want to pack, but between now and the trip we have a yard sale and a birthday party/sleepover, so instead I'm focusing on decluttering and cleaning the house so that I won't be leaving it in a crazy, horrible state that I will dread coming back to. I am also making lots and lots of lists: food for the condo, food for the car, what to pack for our on-the-road hotel, what to keep in the car on park days vs. what to bring in with us, what rides I still need yays/nays on, what projects need to be done before leaving including t-shirts to be painted TRON style with glow-in-the-dark paint... I think I might be overwhelming myself for kicks. LOL

30 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: I can't believe it's so close!!!! :hyper: Started to pack small things, but haven't done too much yet.

I told my sister yesterday that I have to start packing... She said "Start packing?! You have 3 weeks left!!" She just doesn't understand!!!!!!!!! lol
Thank goodness for you guys!! xo :flower3:

Boma serves breakfast and lunch and they are both extensive buffets. They are not open for lunch. If you loved the animal viewing from the dining room you must have eaten at Sanaa in Kidani Village where you make selections from a menu. Although I'm sure I'd love a chance to look out the large windows onto a savanna while eating neither DH or I are fans of Indian cuisine.

Oopps! You might be right! Every time I see pics of Boma though, it looks JUST like where we ate.

We haven't told anyone about our trip because they just don't "get it" either and we don't need any Debbie Downers involving themselves which tends to happen. We just don't vacation (Disney or anywhere) like anyone else we know.

It's also a surprise for the kids!!!! So excited!!!!

I don't get it, Daylight Savings Time started on March 10th and will end on November 3rd, why would it all of a sudden start affecting people? Did you mean the shorter days at this time of year and the later end to daylight savings time which means that people with early work schedules have to get up in the dark?

I've had the opposite experience at scouts. I'm cubmaster for my middle son's pack and we had our Halloween party on Monday night. The kids were less unruly than usual and the parents actually stepped forward to help. Then last night I was at my older son's troop meeting since I'm the Popcorn Kernel. I asked which boys didn't bring their forms and I had those boys call their parents to bring them with them during pick up. I got 100% of them to turn them in - YAY! That never happens.

Not really, I just love the challenge of problem solving :) Although I wasn't prepared to get home after 12:30.

My guess is that they are going to start with people who did not buy tickets as part of a package. Since those people have actual tickets as back ups they really don't need KTTW cards to get into parks and they can always use cash or credit cards to buy things. Since they didn't buy their tickets through a package they most likely don't have a meal plan to worry about (I believe only DVC members and AP holders staying onsite can buy a meal plan without purchasing a package?). There are still people having problems redeeming meal credits with the bands so I can't imagine getting rid of KTTW cards for people on packages at this point in time. If you get rid of the KTTW cards for people who bought their tickets separately you at least get rid of the triple dipping (using KTTW cards and the regular tickets in addition to MBs).

I don't need to ride the headliners multiple times except for ToT and Splash Mountain, but I don't wait on lines so 3 FPs are not going to cut it in the MK for me. If they try to limit me to 3 in MK I am going to unleash my fury on someone and it will not be pretty. My kids have only been to Disney once (3 years ago) and it will probably be at least a couple of years before we can go again. I don't want to hear about things being fixed in the future, we have already dropped $10,000 (7 people) on this vacation before even stepping foot in Florida and I expect my trip to go smoothly this time. I will not accept that people who are staying offsite can pull more FPs than I can. I get that there have been a couple of days that people without FP+ have not been able to pull any FPs for TSMM, Soarin and TT that truly stinks, but I wasn't able to pull a FP for TSMM 3 years ago either, it did happen even before FP+. Now they are running out ridiculously early, but that may be a programming error. However, the vast majority of the rides still have FPs available for a large portion of the day and I will not be penalized for choosing to stay onsite.

Daylight saving time does not start to really mess with light levels in the morning until about late september/October. Weather we realize it or not, our bodies are still tied to light cycles (circadian cycle).

When we wake up and begin moving about during dark hours it disrupts that cycle. Basically makes people want to sleep more. And since they cannot, they get grumpy!!!.
Try to imagine everyone right now is not getting the sleep the body wants.
That makes them grumpy. Its the opposite in the spring, we tend to feel more energized.

I just found out some potentially bad news in regards to a job situation. Please send positive vibes if you have any to spare. I'm trying not to panic. It should all work out but it's unsettling nevertheless.

Oh no!!! Praying for you.

Just got this in an email. The latter is definitely a test I do NOT want to be a part of:

Disney's MyMagic+ system doing more testing

Leah Zanolla | Posted: Oct 23, 2013 | Updated: Oct 23, 2013 - 12:56:49 PM
As we get closer to the full roll-out of Walt Disney World's new MyMagic+ system, more and more tests are taking place. This week, the bands will be tested during Extra Magic Hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios on October 25, 27 and November 2. Guests with MagicBands will check in with a cast member using a handheld reader outside of the turnstiles. This will verify that they are indeed resort guests and they will then proceed through the turnstiles. When entering each attraction, the MagicBands will need to be touched to a handheld device one more time before the guests can gain entrance. For resort guests who do not have a MagicBand, they will be able to show their Key to the World cards like normal.

The other test going on will be to actually eliminate the Key to the World cards for select guests. These guests will use only the MagicBand for their park tickets, room key, FastPass+ ticket and to charge to their resort account. This test will begin October 27, but it is unclear how the guests will be selected. Currently, guests receiving MagicBands are also given a Key to the World card, which has enabled users to utilize both FastPass+ and the regular FastPass tickets.
