We did not choose to do it as we have FD and my sister assures me that we will all, including the kids, be sick of desserts by the end of the trip! She also gave me her favorite viewing location which I am going to try.

We are going to use our fd snack credits for epcots food and wine festival

I only did the dining plan, oh years ago, when it was quite a bit different.
I do wish Disney would let us chose appetizer or dessert on the dining plan.

Me too, I do not need a dessert at lunch and dinner plus a snack. We wound up with a lot of chocolate cake sitting in our fridge from lunch. My kids were on a sugar high all week.

It occurs to me that even though I started a PTR, I haven't actually invited anybody to come read it and probably should ... so anyhow, if anybody wants to come over and impart advice, please do!

We mostly saved the lunch desserts because they came in little plastic clam shells, but they did have a tendency to pop open. I'm going to throw some baggies in my bag just in case this time.

A few trips ago I got matching tye dye mickey tshirts. They were so bright it made it really easy to spot each other in the parks and made for great family pics. DH said he doesn't want another tye dye shirt, but the kids and I love them. I was thinking about doing Thing 1, etc shirts, but basically they are just red tshirts. Anyone on here do anything interesting?

I go a little nuts on the shirt thing. Last year, I made a shirt for each person in my family, for each park, plus custom sweatshirts. So, at each park, we all wore a specific color shirt. Then each family member's shirt had the logo of their favorite ride/area from that park. 6 people x 4 shirts each + sweatshirts + shirts for extended family = a BIG job! But everyone was super easy to spot in a crowd, the kids loved it, and we got a ton of compliments.

Who is the admin on the FB page for November 2013 trip?? I just went to go post something, and realized it is no longer there, or I was deleted?? Anyone know?

Anyway, I can post my question here. I just check MDE and realized that we will be using the Magic Bands! When we customize our bands, should we put our names on file with Disney? My husband goes my his middle name, but Disney uses his first name. Will this matter, or is it just for looks?

Random question: I just wanted to know how much are t-shirts in the park (for souvenirs) on average? I know a common souvenir for everyone to buy but buying them at a Disney store is not the same....plus there is no Disney store near me

The prices are the same as what you'll see on the Disney Store online under Disney Parks merchandaise. So you can use that for reference.

The name for the band is just for you to identify each band, you can use any name you want - as long as it is 9 characters or less and isn't a curse word of course.

I am going to make a LGMH, probably hanging it from my stroller! Will make it out of paper with my dis name on it

I have every intention of having one hanging from my purse and maybe my stroller as well. Will post our (very tentative) plans later as I see many of us will be in the same parks on the same days. Can't wait to try and spot you!

I just called to clear up why my tickets aren't linked to MDE since I booked package (CSR and dining with 6 day hopper). As I was on hold I noticed for first time it allowed me to choose FP+ and when the CM came back on line she told me that there is a glitch on system since more MB options were released yesterday. Told me to customize my MB's. I hung up elated.... She did mention that if I tried to customize and if it didn't allow me, to wait a few days, keep trying and to call if I'm still having issues.... Crossing my fingers and toes!

Since I seem to be in the worse of the 24hours these cold things usually work through on me, I am skim reading posts and will need to go back later after more sleep. I'm getting my son off to his work program and going back to bed for a bit.

I'll be there Nov 7-10. Was supposed to be going with my Fiance for his first WDW trip and first runDisney race. However, he's currently in Afghan and his leave was delayed. One of my greatest friends ever is stepping in his spot to go with me. This will be my 2nd runDisney and my 3rd trip to WDW.

It really does not matter what names you put on them. I am planning on using disney characters.

Oh, and in regards to getting sick: I hope that the kids and I get through these allergies and colds now. When we came home in 2009, I ended up getting pneumonia two days after we landed. That is the worst I have ever felt in my life. I couldn't breathe and didn't sleep for almost three days straight (the coughing kept me awake). I would not wish that on my worst enemy.

I have boughyt a bag of Juice Plus "Vineyard" gummis for us to start taking right before the trip and throughout. It has elderberry and a whole bunch of other good stuff that really seems to help if I start taking it at the first sign of any yuck. With Disney I'm not even going to let it get that far, we are taking it preventatively! Ain't nobody got time for being sick at WDW.
