I booked Crystal Palace for dinner at 3:30 on Dec. 14th =) And I bought my dd this adorable custom from taylor tots designs

there was also a rumour floating around that the Pop Warner kids might be going tpo the party that night which would account for why there is no discount. I was going to go that night anyway but decided I wanted to go closer to the beginning of the trip in case we wanted to go again or it rained

Count my family in! Our very first MVMCP on Nov. 16th. We don't want to make TS reservations because we have the QS dining plan. So I think we might eat at POP's food court. If we want a snack at the party we will pick up a pretzel or hot dog.

We went in Sept. 07 and had heavy rains through the whole party. As we were leaving a CM handed us a little card that allowed us to come back to the MK for free any time that year (it expired Dec. 31, 2007).
I'm not sure if they still do that or if they do something else now But you should get some sort of compensation if the party is rained out (as far as fireworks and the parades). I think if they are still able to offer fireworks and the parades despite the rain then MK won't offer compensation.

*OOPS! For some reason I put what happened to us at MNSSHP in Sep. 07. LOL! The MVMCP we went to that year didn't rain out. LOL

We have our tickets already for November 8th! This is our second MVMCP- the first was in 2008 when we were the family being escorted out after our dinner reservations because we had no idea we needed a separate ticket to stay- Since the kids were set on staying, DH had to give in and buy us some wristbands- HA! This time I did my research and bought them early!!!:

Oh no! It would be hard to drag the kids out after they saw the party!

Sounds like a good plan to me. Are you going to wait until the last minute to get the tickets? I can't decide when to buy ours.

I think we're going to do CS right before the party, too. We'll be at Animal Kingdom that morning. I'm thinking we should probably go back to the room to change into warmer clothes, so we may end up eating at the Mara. I think it's going to be a last minute decision.

It's our first trip, but from what I've read here on the DIS the party is Rain-Or-Shine. We are going to make sure we have our ponchos - just in case.

I'm guessing you are going to get wet. Other than that, I have no idea what will happen if it is raining.

Of course it shouldn't be too crowded if it is raining, so you will have shorter lines.
