**Official MVMCP, 2010!** Guest list, tips and info.

I imagine the MVMCP is rain or shine, but it doesn't sound very fun to be there 7pm-12am, watching the additional parades and shows in the rain.

I'm not quite sure of the exact Disney policy on rain during the MVMCP, but I was listening to a DIS podcast from last year where they were talking about a Tuesday in November last year where Disney canceled the party and offered tickets for other dates and refunds. So it is not necessarily rain or shine.

Didnt realize CP was quite the hot spot on party nights....whats a better time 5:05p or 3:30p. I have 5:05 adr, but there is a 3:30 still available. I really dont want to miss the lighting of the castle, but 3;30 seems early for dinner.
TIA for any advice :)
I'd go with 3:30. We've never actually been seated on time at CP. So if you are seated a little late, that would still give you lots of time to make sure you get to see all the characters. I'd much rather be early than late and miss the castle lighting.

We do have an ADR for LTT for when we go to MVMCP on Dec 7. I can't remember the exact time, but I do know it is around 5 o'clock.

I wonder why not so many people on the dis have bought tickets for the 7th. Is there something I don't know?

We wanted to go on the 7th, but that was the only night I could get Le Cellier for dinner. That is DS11's favorite, so I have to plan our trip around when I can get an ADR. :)

Will most likely be going December 3rd, just because we have 9:50 reservations at CRT.

We're in: Nov 16...
We were at the party in '06 with insane downpours- I don't recall anything being canceled. We were sloshing through huge puddles when the rain had slacked up. My Dh was meeting his parents out front during the better part of the storm. There was no line for Winnie the Pooh, so DS2 and I went to get on it. The cast member let us stay on it for 5 go rounds!!! We got off to say hello to family, but they wanted to ride too, so we got back on. Three more rounds without getting off. Could the rain have spoiled the party? Sure, if you let it. We had a great time- we didn't see the shows, were soaking wet, and the line for hot choc. was crazy long. Some would be bummed- but it's all about how you look at it. My boy smiled the entire time- that's all that matters to me...

Wanted to add my ADR. We have an ADR at LTT 12/12 for 4:15pm.

I want to make sure we get to see the Castle Lighting.:goodvibes

I noticed this also and am wondering if we should change our party night to the 7th??? That would be our last night and when we were going to do the Candlelight Processional, but since those haven't come out yet, we could change our nights around a bit....decisions decisions????? Would love to have a low attendance night!!!!

There is no discount available for the night of December 7, so it's assumed that it will be the busiest party during that week. From what I understand, Sunday and Thursday are the best, and Disney is offering discounts those nights so that seems to back up the prevailing opinion.

Could have sworn I posted with our info... guess not!

We're going MVMCP on 12/2 - and totally stoked. Not concrete on our plans that day, since it'll be a late night with three little ones. But right now, it'll kind of be a "down day" for with a late naps, late 2:50pm lunch at LTT, and then into the park we go! HAVE to see the lighting of the castle... must not miss that.

Is anyone else planning on doing a Wishes Dessert Party during their MVMCP?

Yes, we are booked for Wishes Dessert Party the same night as MVMCP. Not really sure how this is going to work. I worry about the Dessert Party eating into the activities of MVMCP - anyone done both? I'd love to hear how it went. I figure we'll be in the park early (4:00 or 5:00) and plan to catch the later parade time anyway, so...

If it comes to it, I may just try for Wishes a different night (if it's not already sold out) that they're not doing MVMCP. But, it's likely I will have to do some rearranging of the schedule anyway and I really don't want to give either one up, lol. So, if we need to do both on the same night, we'll make it work.

We are booked, and have our tickets in hand!!! However, I am a bit confused. I purchased our tickets via the phone, and they are for the 12/10 party, which I see now says that advanced tickets are not supposed to be available for. Has anyone else heard of this happening? Also, I am now worried that it will be super busy that night (being towards the end of Pop Warner week), is there any way I can switch nights? I know the tickets are non-refundable, but has anyone ever been able to swap their dates?

Thanks!!

I want to go December 7th (my birthday ) but I'm thinking probably the 9th. We leave the next day and it will be nice to let the kids sleep in that day before out late night flight.
