Official MNSSHP [Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party] 2007...

Never been to the MNSSHP---only MVMCP. This is our first time in the fall. We are excited about the party. I was reading all the posts and decided that the Friday, Sept 28th date was probably our only possibility since our vacation dates were 9/22 to 10/2. I was hoping for a party on 10/1, but I am kinda-sorta giving up on that. I was worried about crowds for 9/28 because it will be a Friday. So I added time to the vacation. We are now there from 9/22 to 10/5 so we can go to the 10/4 party. Will crowds be better for the Thursday 10/4 than the Friday 9/28? What IF Monday, 10/1 does happen? Where would it fall for crowds? Would a vet. please rank these dates for crowds. Thank you so much. Melissa

Of your possible dates, I'd say Sept 28 will by far be the busiest. Last year that party sold out. I'd say it's a toss up between Oct 1 and Oct 4.

Thanks for the insight. That was what I was feeling after all the reading. I will go for Monday if it happens, but really thinking Thursday will be it. I am worried about crowds because the last MVMCP we went to was very crowded. I don't remember the day of the week we attended, but I THINK it was a Friday. IMHO, all MVMCPs are more crowded than some of the earlier MNSSHP parties (except of course Sept 28 since it sold out). So I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

That's good to know. We usually don't stay out really late. We usually go to the parks early. I feel like we get more done early. But since the 4th will be our last night, maybe we will stay late and close the park. The kids might really like that! We are late night people, but I make everyone get up for Disney! Melissa

Lik e th pp said, I wouldn't b surprised if Disney fixes that glitch before next year so I wouldn't count on that.

Regarding the CD. Yes, you can combine both your regular Photopass and the MNSSHP Photopass cards to one CD but then you loose the MNSSHP discount.

Thanks beattyfamily and pkgman! As long as I can get the photopass cd with all our pictures on it (including MNSSHP), then I won't feel bad about losing the 50% discount on photos. Can't wait!

OK what does everyone think about there being a MNSSHP on Sept 30th instead of the 1st? on the calendar the EMH link is gone from the 30th and it still closes at 7p.

We could do the 30th or the 4th, but our friends that are coming wouldn't be able to do the 4th since they are leaving on the 3rd and we are staying until the 7th.

Oh I can't wait until the release the dates

That works for me!!! Originally, we were going to go on 10/1, then I made "Plan B" for 9/28, then someone pointed out two weeks ago the possibility of one on 9/30 so I came up with a "Plan C". Plan C works better for us than Plan B so I would be thrilled.

Anything is possible until Disney post the dates for MNSSHP. We are still hoping for the 1, but we have also made possible arrangements for the 4. We currently have LTT booked for both nights until the official dates come out.

Thanks for posting that change! Man, you really need to check those calendars often, huh? Last I saw that was a 9pm close with EMH. I hope those official MNSSHP dates come out soon!

The dates for 2007 are: September 14, 21, 28; October 1, 4, 5, 9, 11, 12, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 26, 29, 30, 31

But those do not match up with the park hours that Disney.com has listed. In fact, Disney is showing Extra Magic Hours on the 22nd and 29th for MK. And the dates that everyone is posting do not include weekends in October, which seems odd.

Am I missing something? I'm freaking out a little because I had promised to take my family on Oct. 21 because of things I had read in the past and now it looks like I won't be able to take them at all.

The official dates have NOT come out yet. This is all pure speculation. Speculation with some evidence to back it up, but speculation all the same.

You might not have missed it. Up until very recently there was an EMH listed on both the 30th and the 1st which had everyone wondering which night it would be.

Between the 28th (Fri), 30th (Sun), and 4th (Thurs), I'd go with Sun or Thurs, leaning more toward Thurs.

Okay, I just posted this in a separate thread, but I not getting any responses, so I thought I would look for help in the Official thread!

Can my DH wear a full face mask to MNSSHP? He wants to wear a Spiderman costume, complete with the full face mask. This isn't scary, so will it be allowed? I can't seem to find a specific rule about masks. Can someone who has been to the Halloween party before tell me if it is allowed, and if they have seen anyone wearing a non-scary full face mask before?

This will be our first MNSSHP and we'll be there October 20th - 27th. For you veterans - is Monday night significantly less crowded than Friday? Just trying to plan and would hate to pick the busiest night.

That is the same time that we will be there. This is our first time going...DD14 has always wanted to go, we usually go right after Thanksgiving. So we are really pumped to go this year for the party and for the Food and Wine Festival. We just need to figure out our costumes and get the dates for the party set so I can make ADR's.
