"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

i really wan to go to the party! It is so expensive, but I think I will regret not going. DH says he is on board if it means that much to me. I originally wanted to go on Thursday 12/1 but our plans make so much more sense to go on Friday 12/2. Do you think there will be a huge difference in crowds?
I think there will be a much higher chance of a sell out on Friday, and less crowded Thursday... Locals and no school on Saturday and 1st weekend after Thanksgiving and people want to celebrate
Also, can we leave party and come back if we need to take DD to meet my parents after the parade? She is only 2 and can't make it the whole night but I thought it would be fun for her to see the parade.
Yes, as long as you either have it on your magic bands, OR hang on to your hard ticket.

Going solo:
Hi folks, I am attending a conference and I purchased tickets for the party in November (Tuesday of the week I am in Orlando). I have visited the parks on my own in the past when I'm in the area for work, but more than a dozen trips were with my family and I have never been to this event (I did MNSSHP in 2014). Any thoughts on doing the party solo? Send your best tips or thoughts for planning a strategy to make the most of my night (I'm less about the characters and more about parades and rides)...thanks.

Can anyone tell me how long it takes the beginning of the parade to reach the hub? How long would it take to reach the end of its route where it begins to go off stage? Just trying to figure out what time the 11:00 parade will begin passing by various points along the route.

It takes approximately 15 minutes for the first unit of the parade to reach the Hub/Castle. The first unit reaches Town Square about 20 minutes after the start time and then takes a couple more minutes before it passes City Hall and heads offstage.

Does anyone know if they will start selling the merchandise at 4 pm like they did last year? Also, does anyone know the locations to pick up your wristband if you are already in MK? Thanks!

The new guide map does not list BTMR as an attraction. Will it be added later after the refurbishment is done?

I could be wrong, but when I did my FP booking, it was marked closed for refurbishment. And I'll be there right before Christmas. Unless when booking FP it just tells what is currently closed not what will be closed on that specific date?

I'm currently holding fastpasses for it during the 2 weeks after Thanksgiving.

Hmmm, who knows. That was after staying up till 1 am thinking it still opened at midnight AND then waking up at 5:30 am to wait for it to open and get stuff done before work AND during an extremely stressful week at work. So it is 99% possible I'm just wrong.

For Guests already in the park, wristbands will be available in the following locations: near the exit of Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, Tortuga Tavern and Fantasy Faire.
Not sure about the merchandise but I think they did start at 4pm during MNSSHP

I was super excited to see the updated MVMCP maps, but am now realizing it doesn't give me that much new info. I'm really excited to hear feedback from the first party to get more details!!!
