We *just* found out today we're going for a quick Disney trip and hoping to attend on Dec 13. Do we have to but a full day ticket plus the party ticket or can we just buy the party ticket and go in the park at 4?

It requires regular park admission as well.

Just be aware that the party could sell out. If this is a must do and you know now you want to go no matter what, I'd buy tickets sooner rather than later or waiting until the day of to buy.

My husband and I will be in the world mid December and I'm really on the fence about buying party tickets. We've never been, but from what I understand the biggest draw are the meet and greets and the fireworks/shows? We're not into meet and greets at all, and not really into shows either. Is it still "worth it"? I know it's all personal opinion, but curious what everyone here thinks.

For me, with your priorities above, it would not be worth the extra $100 IN ADDITION to a week or so at the World. The only reason we are going is because there is a party the night before our cruise, and we are eligible for the military discount. We are only doing the party, and no other parks.

Since you are on the fence, I'd wait until you're there and see what you think.

We mostly do the parties for the meet and greets and the shows/parades. We really enjoy the photos we get and the atmosphere of the night and the shows. If those aren't really your thing, I don't think I'd do it unless you just wanted some time to do the rides that are open with little to no wait.

It looks like we are going with the following schedule with our 6/4 year olds. We plan to arrive at 4pm. Will Santa be there that early for pictures when we are walking in? Or will we have to circle back?
I suppose then we would do a couple rides with our FPP, then I'd get in line around 5:30/6 for the 7D while DH and kids keep riding. What time does Jungle Cruise convert to Jingle Cruise?
Do we have any chance to see other characters? It would be amazing to see Nick & Judy but if we head over to SM as soon as we are done seeing the 7D, what are the odds that we'd be back at 7:40pm for Mickey's Merriest? Alternatively, if the kids are doing ok maybe we go head to nick and judy after Holiday Wishes, but I don't want to push them too hard.
Mickey's Most Merriest @ 7:40pm
Frozen Holiday Wish @ 8:15pm
Mickey's Christmas Parade @ 8:30
Club Tinsel @ Cosmic's Ray's
Totally TOmorrowland Christmas @ 9:20pm
Holiday Wishes @ 10pm

Character Questions:
Does anyone know in what combinations do the Princesses & Princes meet? I am hoping to meet Rapunzel and Snow White with their princes.
Rapunzel & Flynn Rider
Snow White & Prince
Cinderella & Prince Charming
Aurora & Prince Philip

I am going to MVMCP on 2 nights and planning on lining up for highest priority at 5:45pm each night. 7 Dwarfs is one. Who should I choose for night #2?
My list are:

Pooh and Friends
Rapunzel & Flynn Rider
Snow White & Prince
The Ducks (Scrooge, Donald & Daisy)
Santa Goofy
Genie & Abu

Last year Cindy and Rapunzel were together on one side. We lined up at 6 and were in the first group to be let in (5 or 6 people back?)

This may change with the addition of Elena, though, as I think she meets with Cindy now during the day, while Rapunzel and Tiana are on the other side. Snow and Aurora (with their princes) will likely meet outside PFH as they did in the past (when A&E met opposite Cindy and Rapunzel).

Without knowing what the Nick and Judy will start meeting, hard to plan for them, but if it's at 7, you won't have a chance to do them between the dwarfs and the 7:40 show.....even if the dwarfs start at 6:15 like they did at MHSSHP. I expect their line to be long all night, and should be the first line for anyone that has them as a priority.

I can't recall if Santa is out before 7, but we met him last year with no wait between the fireworks and 2nd parade.

Jingle Cruise operates day and night during the Christmas season.

All this talk of characters has me trying to figure out how many we can expect to see as well.
I think we will be skipping 7D and going for Sandy Claus and getting in line around 5:30 after our Crystal palace ressie. How many additional should I try to plan for?

During MNSSHP, Jack & Sally started meeting st 5. The line formed at 4, and was hours long before the party even started. Just something to consider if they follow suit and he's a priority. By 5:30 you will encounter quite a line.

I know what you mean, without the Grandbabies with us, we don't do they meet and greets either. There is just something so special about the Christmas party. Lots of guests dress up, the CMs all seems to be in the holiday spirit, snow on Main Street, the parade, holiday music, Jingle Cruise, holiday costumed characters, holiday Wishes, lighting of the Castle, free cocoa and cookie treats - it really feels like a holiday party.

Plus if you are going during the "value season", it's hard to visit the Magic Kingdom in the evening, due to the number of holiday parties that closes the park at 7 pm.

Worth it is a relative phrase. Ask yourself if you think that you will regret it if you don't do it at least once. If not, don't worry about it, it is a lot of money. But I happen to think it's at least a once in a lifetime experience, if you have the ability, to do a Disney Christmas party.

Are you planning on going into MK for attractions?
Do you enjoy holiday decor and atmosphere?
If yes then the party would be good cause you can still ride the rides and the atmosphere is fantastic. The Christmas parade is one of the best at WDW, lights and snow on Main Street, christmas music playing. It's a neat experience

i really wan to go to the party! It is so expensive, but I think I will regret not going. DH says he is on board if it means that much to me. I originally wanted to go on Thursday 12/1 but our plans make so much more sense to go on Friday 12/2. Do you think there will be a huge difference in crowds?
