Will Kenny or someone be at the very first party and post the character info ASAP? I am going to the party on Nov 10th and I am wondering if char info will be available. I doubt we will get in line to meet the dwarfs or other popular characters, but I think we will want to meet some. I am disappointed that Mickey and Minnie don't meet together.

Is there a post here that explains getting your party tickets with a different MDE account so you can get the 3 fps between 4-7:00 in addition to the 3 from yoir regular park tickets earlier in the day?

You don't need another MDE. Create new "phantom" profiles (e.g. use your middle names), and when you party tickets arrive, assign them to the new profiles. You should be able to make 3 fast passes for that date under both profiles, for a total of 6 per person. Send me a message if you need additional help.

It my understanding that if I do this I will need the actual plastic party ticket(card) to:
1. Enter MK for party
2. Enter FP lines at the rides I selected for FP during party.

Meaning Magic Bands will NOT work for party entrance or FPs during party if I do this.

Correct. Magic bands will have your regular daytime tickets and the associated fast passes, while the party ticket will be used for party entrance and their associated FP's.

Excited to attend our very first on Nov. 18 - booked last night!

Its our first night of a Thanksgiving week trip, so I know the parks will be crowded every day of that week.
We are hoping the party will be an opportunity to repeated ride all of our MK favorites with manageable waits.

Will the system recognize that the 1day MYW ticket is not valid for MK and preclude me from booking FP+ at MK on the party day with that ticket? In that case I'd only be able to book 1 set. The system will not allow you to book MK days with a non-MK ticket. 1 set only.

I'm not sure this is correct. The OP has TWO tickets, one of them is a special ticket. They should be able to make FP+ for their party night from 4:00-6:30 and make FP+ for their EP/HS/AK ticket.

yes, I know it's busy - we did Christmas over 2011/12 (it taught my Christmas phobic and son to love christmas, so, as we are having a very special trip, we thought then would be the best time for us to go. I just thought Christmas Eve would be a good time to have a Christmas party. We'll still have an awesome time.

I don't think you could bc your ticket is not valid for MK. Plus, in order to get that second set I think you would then have to use that ticket at MK, in addition to your party ticket. That's a lot of money just for 3 extra FPs.

That's correct. If you had a MK ticket, and a party ticket, AND they were assign to different profiles, you could make 2 sets of FP's.

In that case, no, you can't get two sets without using that other ticket, and since it is not valid for MK, you would have to upgrade it to an MK ticket and USE it. You really won't have time to use two sets anyway. All FP+ have to be used before 7:00 pm when the party starts, and you can't enter until 4:00 pm.

BTW, we went on December 15, 2015 and no one in our party received the Olaf cards. They were not given to us on admission and we were the 1st in line at our gate. Quite honestly I had forgotten about it, until you just mentioned it. Weird.

I am thinking about going to the party on either Thursday December 1 or Friday December 2.

Which date do you guys think will have the least crowds? My gut is telling me 12/1, but I am not sure. Also, with it being that early in December, shouldn't the crowds be good for both dates?

We are going on the Podcast Cruise that starts that Sunday, so I am trying to get everything planned out.
