****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

Don't forget your just married button when you get to WDW. We loved all the attention we got especially from other guest giving advice. It was cute and fun especially the older couples. :goodvibes

Jessica, have a beautiful, memorable wedding day with your soon-to-be husband!!:love2: And an:daisy: awesome disneymoon.

It is 3 am the night before our wedding and I can't sleep! So I thought I would post here to say Disney in 34 hours!!!

Happy Wedding Day! Congratulations to you both :) I hope you have a magical dream wedding and a wonderful marriage!

(and thank you for all you do for this thread!!!)

How many of you are planing on writing a trip report?

I am thinking of making a video from the pictures I take since I am not very good at writing. Pictures set to music seems more entertaining. :goodvibes

We'll definitely be doing a TR on our family blog...but I'm thinking I might even try to do a live report on there, too. We always take our computer, but I don't know that I'll ever sit long enough to write.

So I was kind of excited when I learned that Accuweather does such a far reaching forecast - until I looked at what they are predicting for Memorial Week!!! :scared1: I cannot even fathom how hot 95 degrees would be in the Florida humidity! Really hoping Accuweather is, well, UN-Accuweather LOL

It's been in the 90s here this week with about 60% or so humidity, so I'm hoping we'll do ok. Everyone told me September was surface of the sun hot, but I never noticed the heat too much. The last time we went during Memorial week, it was definitely warm, but nothing horrible. And the nights cooled down quite a bit...so much we even had blankets when sitting on the beach for Wishes and the EWP.

Happy Wedding Day Jessica!!!

Hello all... we leave tomorrow!!! At this time tomorrow we should be in the air!

So much to do today!

Accuweather is pretty accurate. Another really accurate site is wunderground.com. I'm excited for Memorial Day weekend by far!

I hope they are wrong for the week before Memorial day. Looks like a lot of rain while we are there. :sad2: Hopefully we get a few warm days.

I check accuweather every couple of days and the forecast for our trip keeps changing for the worse. First it said sun then part clouds with some rain and now all rain for the week. :confused3

We are here right now!!! Flew in yesterday morning... landed 20 min. early at 11am even after leaving 10 min. late. The flight was smooth :worship: We entered MK at 1:15pm. It was SO busy and HOT! I took crowd pics that I'll have to post once we get home but wow... just nuts. We got FP's for Splash, then rode Haunted Mansion (actually had to wait in line which was a first for me), then it was time for our Liberty Tree Tavern lunch. Pot roast was amazing as usual. Daughter had a minor meltdown.. lol.. then we went straight over to Splash for her first ride as a 40"er... she loved it. My 5 year old son cried the whole time. :confused3 Then we went on Small World... waited in line for that for about 20 minutes (another first), then Philharmagic and after that we went over to try the sword. My son tried first and nothing. DD tried next and it came up! I started screaming and jumping up and down... it was just crazy. I've never seen it actually come up so yeah, I was going nuts. Then we hit Tomorrowland and did Stitch, Buzz, Laugh Floor, PeopleMover & Carousel of Progress. By this point everyone had it. DH was whining and begging to leave. He said we could stay for the fireworks but we were going to start leaving during them so we could beat the crowd. I had to break it to him that we were going to be enjoying our desserts too much to leave... they had no idea about the Dessert Party reservation :wizard: We LOVED it. We had a table right at the railing under Tink's line and we got to see her fly for the first time. Just amazing. We stayed at a Red Roof Inn last night (I won a free stay through a radio contest)... eh, it worked for the night.

This morning we woke up and went to Epcot for rope drop. 2 CM's were talking to us. They asked if it was our first time and we said it was my MIL's first time but we had been there before... then they quit talking to us and walked over to a different family and chose them for family of the day. What did I say wrong? Oh well... I took everyone's tickets and ran straight for Soarin'. We got FP's & then rode it. MIL loved it and so did DD (another first for her). We did Livin' with the Land and then Soarin' with the FP's again then walked over to Ellen's Energy Adventure. Then we went to Downtown Disney for our first visit ever. We had lunch at T-Rex and LOVED it. Everything was great there. We did some shopping (lots of shopping) and then headed to Bonnet Creek for checkin at 4:00 (it was 3:40 when we got up to the desk). They had us down to checkin on May 12th :scared1: Sooo after waiting till 5:00pm they finally called us saying they had a room ready. We are in a gorgeous building on the 15th floor with a PERFECT view of the Epcot ball and the castle in the distance.

Time to go... Illuminations will be starting in a little over a half hour and we're watching it from the balcony. :worship:

Thanks for the report! You have done so much already!
Enjoy the rest of your vacation!!

Congrats, and have fun, to everyone who is already there :D

Exactly 1 week to go, over here... Well, less if you count having to wake up at 4am to catch a plane. :rotfl2:

Question of the Day:

What are some “smell the roses” attractions at Hollywood Studios that we can’t miss?

One Man's Dream is the only thing that comes to mind. Studios is really my least favorite park, partly because I feel like it lacks the little out of the way 'secrets' and uncelebrated coolness that can be found in all the other parks.

I wish I could have done that cake by myself....it would have cost a whole heck of a lot less!!! :rotfl2: We ordered it from a bakery here that was fantastic. We are actually waiting for our other DD to make up her mind what she wants and we are going to order hers from there, too.

Oooh, a Figment cake would be awesome! I'd love a Figment cake for myself.

My 3yo is totally obsessed with Figment. Last trip we must have ridden a dozen times and she walks around singing 'One Little Spark'. It certainly won't be the easiest birthday party theme I've ever pulled off but I know she'll love it!

Question of the Day:

What type of transportation will you be using on your trip? Include everything from getting to Disney to the parks to mini golf!

Bus. Bus. And more bus. Other than the flight to WDW, it'll be Disney buses all the way.

How many of you are planing on writing a trip report?

I am thinking of making a video from the pictures I take since I am not very good at writing. Pictures set to music seems more entertaining. :goodvibes

I will absolutely be doing a very photo-heavy trip report when we get back. I'll have the link in my sig but I'll post it here too.

No weather forecast is really accurate that far out. To give you an idea, their long-range forecast for our January dates this year covered everything from 50° and raining to 80° and sunny at some point in the weeks I spent checking it compulsively.

Worrying over the weather forecast more than a week in advance is really quite pointless. Of course that doesn't stop me from doing it every trip! :lmao:

It is 3 am the night before our wedding and I can't sleep! So I thought I would post here to say Disney in 34 hours!!!

Congrats!
