****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

So is it normal to be 26 days out and too excited to sleep? Here I am at almost 4am and I've been awake for 2 hours already :confused3 This is going to be a long last month!!!

Happy Easter, everyone

Prayers for my grandmother would be appreciated... she's in the hospital now, and she's in her 90s... It's not looking too good. :(

Happy Easter to Everyone! HE is risen!!:lovestruc

:woohoo: less then 50 to go, the days seems to have been going by quick the past couple weeks. guess next month they'll slow down and make the wait feel even longer then it is. :worship:

Happy Easter! :goodvibes

Surprise went well. It took DD4 a few hours for it to sink in, but now she has been playing with the maps all morning and asking questions. We will watch Youtube videos later and the vacation planning DVD. I'm so glad to have someone to talk to about our trip. :cool1:

Will keep you and your family in our thoughts today.

Thank you aroundtheriverbend!!! You got me thinking that I should at least try to see if they could help us. I called and got an awesome Disney loving rep:)

She switched me to the first flight out the next morning for no extra. Even though those flights were 3X what we paid for ours. And somehow I ended up with a 70 dollar credit!:yay:

So now, instead of getting to Unviersal at around 1:30 in the morning and sleeping until 11am.. we get to fly non-stop and get there at 11 in the morning! Better flights, non stop, and no change fees. I also cancelled our first night reservation at Universal and get 200 bucks back!

Yay! So happy that helped you! Hopefully much less stressful, I  non-stop! :thumbsup2

Happy Easter everyone!

I have a question and would love to opinions!!

I am thinking about doing something special for my mom on this trip. I have been looking on disneyflorist and I love some of their giftbaskets but I think I'd rather pay for something we can experience. Does anyone have any ideas of something that might be fun for either her or all of us? She doesn't want to go a spa and we are already taking a tour.

Also, we are finally at a $0 balance on our vacation, which means we are fully paid!!

Our favorite adult Disney experience has been the Segway Tour in Epcot. Have to be >16 no upper age limit...I would just assume a willingness to do it would be key! Absolutely fun!

On another adult trip we did the Steam Trains Tour at MK...it's awesome and you get lots of history of Walt himself...if you like that kind of thing.

We are doing an illuminations boat tour this year for the first time, it's quite pricey but if you can find a "share" it is much more affordable. There is a thread dedicated to connecting people who want to share.

I surprised my husband with a cake delivered to our hotel pool while we were swimming when we were at Disney for his birthday...that was really fun!! Don't know if you are celebrating something special.

Thanks everyone for the well wises <3 They're currently keeping her comfortable.

35 days...

Question of the Day:

Tell us your tips and experiences with the "other" parks and attractions at WDW: Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Disney Quest, Golf, Mini Golf, and everything else!

DH talked me into a breakfast at Akershus! So now we're adding Epcot to our plan for our DTD day. Yikes!!! 25 days to go!

Okay so we won't get Mickey Mail then because our stuff was booked separately (due to using CM discounts). I'm okay with that because it saved us a ton of $$$.

27 days! I can't believe it!!!

I'm so hoping for Mickey mail this week!! Only 39 more days to go! If it doesn't get here quick I'm going to drive my husband nuts with all my Disney talk:dance3:

I am SO hoping we get ours this week too!! We have 38 days left and I am driving DS16 IN-SANE!!! He is just as excited as I am and he's obsessing over the mailbox. Poor mailman probably thinks we are stalking him . . .:rolleyes1
