Official May 2011 thread!

Coming to Disney the first week of May for 1 week. From Canada, flying out of Buffalo. Cannot wait to see everything!! Please take care of us, give us some tips (we're a couple of 20 somethings) on cheap tickets and scheduling!

Any advice on Jedi Training...we have tried and have YET to get their in enough time. We will be there May 20th and being the 1st week-end of Star Wars iam sure it will be super PACKED. :confused3

If I remember correctly, it's now something you line up to do. No more picking random kids from the crowd. My son took my granddaughter to do it last year and I believe thats what he told me.

We are going in May. My plan is to pick up the kids from school on May 24 and drive as far as we can. We have a Universal reservation on May 25, then check in at Pop on 5/26. Sadly, we will check out on 6/5 and drive home.

My kids have no idea we are going. I told them that I couldn't afford it this year, so I can't wait to see their reactions.

We will be there the same week, staying in Beach Club Villas. My last day at work (I'm a teacher) is the morning of May 27. We will leave that night (driving) and return 6/5 also.

OMG -- now at 25 days!!!! Time is going faster than I'm ready for!!

I need to get my booty in gear and finish packing toiletries, food stuff and get all the paperwork together.

Cool, I'll go ahead and update my planning sheet:surfweb:

The official site was updated today and reflects almost exactly the times reflected on the Travel Agent site (at least for my week of May 8 - May 14) Personally I find the TA site clearer especially with EMH.

I looked at my dates (May 13th to May 21st) on the Disney website and they don't seem to be updated yet.

24 days!!! We have predictions of 7" of snow here tonight :( I cannot wait to leave and experience some high 80's :)

DH had to go dig the snowblower out of the back shed this morning before going to work... ugh.

I am almost done printing all the goodies from the DISign board, still working on my trip binder/journal. I am making a journal for my oldest too. I have some hairbows to make, get the suitcases out, etc. I cannot believe it is in 12 days!!!!!

I'm a teacher as well. Our last day is May 25th. We are leaving May 27th and staying with family in Florida for 2 nights, then we check in at the Pop on May 29th. We check out on June 4th. My kids have no idea we are going either. We'll let them figure it out as we're driving and they see the signs. Can't wait! :dance3:

I am a teacher too..but my last day of work isn't until June 13th (thanks to Snow Days). We are using Personal Days for our trip. check in to All Star Movies on 5/27 and check out on 6/3.

UGH -- snow???

I'm sooooo over snow. Thankfully, here in Northern Virginia we are done with that.

Just keep thinking how wonderful Florida weather is going to feel in just a few more weeks!!!:cool1::banana::cheer2:

Yes! We have been snow free for about a month now and even had a day where we hit 65 in there :worship: but yeah, now this fantastic storm is on it's way in... everyone is so grumpy around here... lol...

:scared1:Where are you that they are calling for 7 inches of snow? We have had decent temps here, but a lot of wind and rain. I am also ready for some upper 80s weather and a slushy.

We're in Wisconsin. Right on the shore of Lake Michigan. It's the lake effect that usually screws us over here :( Sometimes it's nice but most times we hate it. It is coming down here now and the ground is covered already :sad1:

I used to live in Kalamazoo, MI. Lake effect is the worst!

Where are you from? I live in northwestern MI and we have a big snow storm coming tonight as well, some areas could see upto 10 inches of snow!
