Official May 2009 Thread....The wait is on!!

We are arriving at the Pop on 5/14. Can't till we get to walk down Main Street for the first time!!! This is our first trip to WDW and we are very excited!!!

And the planning, packing, etc only makes you more excited!!
Enjoy your first trip, all trips are magical, but the 1st one....there's something about it that is extra special.

Just seeing this thread now. We will be staying at POP 5/30-6/6. Only 45 more days until our first trip to WDW!! It can't come soon enough! When should I start receiving my packet for Magical Express?

It seems like this is the only thing I can talk about right now. Everytime I talk to my mom (whose going also) this all we talk about. My dad and husband think we're crazy and yes they are going too.

We go to Disneyland every year so we are quite ready to go and try DisneyWorld. Hopefully we'll be able to make it a regular thing but it all depends on the price of airfare and if we can get a good enough deal.

We are planning a big trip for 2011 (4 day Disney cruise and 5 day land) My DD 3.5 saw a WDW travel guide for kids at Walmart so I bought it for her. Well she started to sleep with and drag it everywhere we went. The book is now quite bent and torn but she had her whole trip planned. I kind of felt bad for her and convinced the DH to do a little trip in May She has him wrapped around her little finger so it wasn't that hard. So hear I am counting down 17 days to go. We leave May 3-6 staying at ASmovies. Spending one day at MK and 1 day at AK. The other days are flight days so we are relaxing by the pool and DTD. We are having Donald's breakfast at Tusker House. As you can see I'm just as excited at the girls (the other one is 1.5 yrs old) I just can wait to see the look on their faces as they take everything in. I love this board as I know feel planned and ready to go. Wish me luck and everyone else enjoy your trip too.

Has anyone contacted UG (touringplans.com) about their shocking crowd predictions for May? If so, what was the reply? 4 more weeks!!!

I can't believe the crowd predictions are 8 and 9s the entire time we are there. It the middle of May people! Souldn't kids be in school!? Ok...so seriously I am joking with that last line, if my kids were in school I might have pulled them out for the 4/3 deal too, hehe. But man, I thought it was gonna be a pretty non-busy time. Oh well...Disney is better than nothing!

Good question. In early March, when I checked our May/June dates, they were 5's to 8's (mostly 5's & 7's). Yesterday I checked again and all 10 days are 8's and 9's.

We received our ME packet about 40 days out. I read on here that Disney usually sends that info out around 45 days out from your trip. I'm patiently waiting on the rest of our goodies to get here. Yep, waiting very, very patiently

I know what you mean about learning so much from here! My family makes fun of me all the time for being on here but when I helped my DD save $150 on something because of what I learned onhere, she stopped shut up real fast! She may not join in the fun on here, but she listens to what preach! I am the great god-diss around this house!

We will be there from May 4th to May 9th, staying off-site. A short trip for us but we're going back again in August for free dining. This is our first time off-site in a long time but we got a good deal and I think it will work out. We are driving down from Ontario, Canada - me, my (pregnant) daughter-in-law and my three grandchildren who are 7, 4 and almost 2.

I remember the olden days when we used to make the drive to Florida with the kids either laying up over the back seat by the glass or in the back of the camper. It's a wonder any of them survived to tell about it Maybe that's why DS hates Disney and refuses to go back Probably traumatized the child.

I just found a fab deal on airfare, and DH (due to a lousy day at work) agreed to a last minute Disney trip! We leave May 2nd! Yay!
