Official May 2009 Thread....The wait is on!!

Just thought I'd post that as of today, I only have to wait for 40 more days!! This past weekend I took my dad aka his card shopping and got all my "WDW clothes"! So ready...

Hi! I'm a POFQ first timer too

I've been watching the crowd predictions and I was getting concerned too. But I've been in August and at Christmas and as long as it is not as crowded as those times, I'll be OK.

I'm traveling solo so I can be more flexible than usual.

Crowds or not, I'm going to have a great time

Yep! If you stand on top of your desk and look really hard off in the distance, you can almost see the peak of May on the horizon! be careful and don't fall of the desk, tho! You don't want to be at Disney in a cast!

I will be visiting WDW for the first time. I will be staying at POFQ from May 24-31.

We're the crazy family that spends 15 hours a day at the parks in constant motion...for our entire vacation! Please critique my touring plan. Our ADRs really have no bearing on where we spend the day, we never mind hopping:

5/23 (Sat): Arrival day. Yes, I know MK will be insane (Memorial Day weekend and all), but we'll be checked in and have most of the afternoon to just walk around and soak it up...ride whatever doesn't have a super-long wait, snag some fastpasses for after dinner if there are any to be had.

5/24 (Sun): Epcot

5/25 (Mon): Studios

5/26 (Tues): Magic Kingdom

5/27 (Wed): Animal Kingdom

5/28 (Thurs): DHs 55th Birthday...he'll choose what we do, probably 1/2 day at the Studios at least.

5/29 (Fri): Unplanned (Gasp!)...this is a first for us. We're considering renting boats in the morning, which we haven't tried before.

5/30 (Sat): Departure (sniff, sniff, sob).

Okay, everyone! Please tell me what you would change. I have that vacation disorder thingy too and spend incredible amounts of time planning, which to me is at least half the fun. This week I'm making everyone's personalized packing lists.

28 days and counting.

I glance at touringplans.com from time to time to check out their crowd level calendar. They have been adjusting the crowd levels for May and June now because of how busy the last two weeks of March were. On 05/04-05/06, the crowd levels were 5's, now they are all 8's. Does anyone actually think it will be THAT busy for earlt May with spring vacations over and kids back in school. I think that they are overcompensating a bit, don't you think?

WE will also be there the first week of May 2nd-9th. I think they are definately overcompensating for that week, however I guess with the 4/3 deal they are getting extra people to go. we are preparing for the worst and praying for the best!!We were there last year for Easter and crowds were insane, so i am not too work about this vist.. Any visit is a good visit to disney So only 23 days until we start our driver to Disney

We're finally returning to WDW after two long years away! Staying at POR May 19-29, to celebrate my college graduation. Can't Wait! 39 days until graduation, 43 days until Disney!

Coming to WDW is just one way to prolong the time before I have to face the reality of a career ...and a 'grown-up' life.

Travel agent called last night to say the documents were in! She offered to put them in the mail however I said I'd be at her door when it opened today!

We received our mickey mail about a week ago. It was all the luggage tags and vouchers that came with our package. Whoo hoo!!! We only have 30 more days to go. Cant believe it, i remember when we booked it back in Oct, it seemed so far away.

I keep reading of people receiving their Magical Express vouchers with about 30 days to go. I'm at 25 and nothing yet... it's driving me crazy. I so look forward to going to the mailbox and the lack of Mickey mail is very disappointing. A little overly dramatic, I know, but I figured everyone here would understand.

Is anyone else still waiting for their stuff?
