Official May 17th Alaska Cruise Thread!

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to pop up and introduce myself and say that I am excited to be joining all of you on the Wonder in Alaska on the May 17th sailing. :cool1: DH and I decided last night to book and we are excited! This trip is a big celebration for us and we are really looking forward to it! :cheer2:

We sailed in November on the Wonder in the Bahamas pirate: and cannot wait to get back onboard "our" ship. We LOVED it so much for the four night cruise - here's to seven beautiful nights with her in Alaska!

Welcome!!! Did you book one of the gty specials? I booked the interior gty special on Friday. I was booked to sail on Aug 30th, but the deal for this one saved me lots of money, and we live 30 mins from the port, so its very easy and doabole for us.
I am anxiously awaiting our stateroom number - if you are gty, please post when you get one! You should join in on the FE! We don't have a huge group and could use a few more!

I thought the transfers were pretty pricey. What hotel are you at littleprince?

No room # for me yet! I am hoping for deck 5-6-7. We had deck 5, room 5131, on our last cruise and loved the location. I like aft - if I get aft I will be happy!

Dreams,

My wife and I were on the same cruise back in November! We were on our Honeymoon at the time and you had asked us if we were on the DIS. Hope you remember us! Glad to have you on board for the AK cruise!

Promenade lounge before muster drill. I saw it in one of the threads. Its a good spot to meet and a great time for people to hand off any room number changes if you happen to have one (if you upgrade at the port or something).

I think I have checked my reservation 40 times in 2 days hoping to see a stateroom number -I know it probably would not go on during a weekend, and more likely a weekday, but I can't stop peeking and hoping!
I guess my docs might show up this week via courier!

Yes, The Promenade Lounge is where we will meet at!

We still need to come to a census of an exact time to meet at.
It really should be before Sail Away, because after that it gets too busy.
I did see someone had already suggested a time. Anyone else?

we haven't gotten a hotel yet but thinking about the radisson in richmond. so not sure if better to do a taxi or shuttle to the port.
still waiting for a room assignment. hoping to get a nice room!

WHat time is muster drill? 330? How about 3pm?

Editing to add - I have NEVER noticed that little mini-buffet in the corner there until I saw this photo! lol

Radisson is great- how much are the transfers? I think a cab will run you about $25-$35 from there.

I just looked on my entertainment account and the coupon is good for half off for two people fro the Quick Shuttle. They can only be printed within two weeks of using and must be given to the driver with your confermation number. We have reservations on the 9:15 shuttle on May 24 back to seattle. I also checked for coupons for restaurants and there are several on the site, it may be worth the savings.

We looked into taking the Quick Shuttle, however, our flight leaves at 3:10 PM and therefore, would not work for us since it would be pushing it.

YES! My husband and I completely remember you! We took your picture coming back to the ship (at Nassau I think??).

How funny that we are going to be on the ship together again. It would be great to see you two again.

I am guessing married life is treating you both well if you are taking another cruise 6 months later. Thanks for the "shout out."

It was when we were coming back to the ship on Castaway Cay! We both also remember you asking us later on the ship if we were on the DIS. Because you had remembered our names and that we were going on our Honeymoon, from that cruise's thread.

Ahahahahaha! Before I posted the above, my husband and I discussed whether it was Nassau or Castaway. I said Castaway and he was sure it was Nassau. ;)

And, yes, I DID wonder if you two were the DIS honeymoon couple - and had to ask. We both completely remember you both.

Hope married life is off to a good start,
Dreams

Are there any other single parents/singles on this sailing? There are often some of the adult only stuff I want to attend (like the comedian and stuff) and I never go, because I feel so awkward just going in and sitting down at a show by myself.
I am fairly social, but can be shy at first - I can't walk into a large room of people where everyone is with someone, and just sit down and chat. I am hoping to catch some of these shows this time! Would be nice to have someone to go with!

VGT rooms are gone! Maybe a room assignment for me soon?
I am seriously the MOST impatient person in the world!

I created a spreadsheet of the FE list.
I'll continue to update it between now and the final list.

Download and Print Version:
Click here to download the PDF file.
Click here to download the Excel file.

The links are also be posted with the FE list on Page 5.

Please view the list and make sure all your information is there.
I know there are stateroom numbers and dining times that need to be entered.

Thanks,
Nick
