**Official March 2017 Thread**

Our new favorite hands down is Citricos. We dined twice and it was amazing both times
Welcome home Tammy! I'm so, so glad you guys loved Citricos so much since it's DH's favorite signature to date and probably mine, too. Can't wait to eat there in a week!

I can't believe that we'll be at Disney on Friday. After seeming like our trip will never come, it finally is almost here. I have been really busy at work, so it has been really hard to start to plan and pack. But we did go to Kohls today so I could buy a couple of new tops with my Kohls bucks. :)
I've been busy with PTA and work stuff and Sat. is creeping up on me! I haven't even had time to buy new outfits like I usually do but I did get some new capris at Kohl's with my Kohl's cash (love kohl's) and a new shirt from Hot Topic.

DD had a state tournament (basketball) this weekend. 5 games. Last nights were 5 and 8pm, but an hour away from home and we had to be there 1/2 hour early. The last game was running late and we didnt get home until 11.
She has been playing on 3 teams since last October, 7 days a week
I feel you completely on all this, having 2 sons that play basketball and one who plays year round on multiple teams :sad2:

We leave for the airport at 4 am on Friday, too. We are flying out of Midway. :)
4:15 am Saturday :goodvibes

Ughh...then you do know! My DD plays almost tear round, though summer league ends the first week of July and Fall doesnt start until October! She just finished her intown- league, travel team and middle school teams. The week after our trip starts AAU :( There goes my weekends!

Your Weekend sounds exhausting. I'm sorry that your daughter's team lost. At least she has an upcoming trip to help her fell better. :)

We fly from Boston. Should arrive at MCO at 9:30am :)

My daughter is over the loss. Nothing a stop at the ice cream shop couldnt fix :)

30 minutes after the game....

Thanks for sharing your experience; I feel better now.

BTW I was at WL in 2004 during Hurricane Jeanne (3rd hurricane at WDW that year, for those who don't know). That would have been a rough year to be living there.
Charlie was bad. That's the one I remember the most.

If I could take my job, and the other job prospects around me with me, I would move out of this Elsa-cursed frozen land they call New England. Yeah, hurricanes would be scary, but we sometimes get them up here too. That last 14" blizzard followed by 2 day power outages last week when we were dreaming about an early spring was nearly the last straw.
Yeah, New England is another story. We did have a 2 foot storm in December though. Otherwise it been pretty quiet here this year

Why am I one the dis boards when we leave in 32 hours and I haven't even started my packing yet? :rotfl: ( I did get the kids done though)
My excuse is Im just waiting for the dryer to finish! Lots of washing (really just rinsing / getting out wrinkles). Im determined to get my daughter done tonight and myself tomorrow. That leaves 2 days to get things organized around the house before I leave. I refuse to let this turn into a wrapping presents on Christmas Eve scenario.

That is really cute. ::yes::

I love the blue sky. I hope we get plenty of sun and zero rain. :)

What did you have that you really liked?
I had been eyeing that new Dooney and Bourke on the Shop Disney parks app before we left and kept talking myself out of it. Then the day before we left they offered free shipping plus I had a $50.00 gift card I forgot about. So with the gift card and my AP discount I only paid 108.00. I couldn't resist can't wait till it arrives.

We were very fortunate with the weather only had one afternoon of light rain that didn't last long. I'm sending pixiedust: for bright sun and warm days
Citricos I ordered :

Arancini
Crispy Risotto, Mascarpone, spicy Garlic Poma Rosa Sauce which was so good.

Oak-grilled Beef Filet

Potato Purée, Baby Carrots, Cipollini Jam, Bordelaise

Florida Key Lime Pie
baked in a Graham Cracker Tart Shell served with fresh Strawberries and a Quenelle of Sweet Mandarin Sorbet

Everything was cooked perfectly, the atmosphere was elegant and beautiful and the service was excellent. Did I mention I really liked it ;)

Funny, we never had this when I played back in the 80's. I kind of wish we did, but then I know my parents would have said forget it, or I could only do it if I found somebody else to give me a ride. Parents seemed a little different 30 years ago.

Definitely. I played sports, but unless it was for school, it was on the weekends. My mother didnt work and we only had one car, which was pretty much the norm. I carpooled once a week to dance and CCD. The school provided transportation for school sports, but we all carpooled home. Parents were never at the games unless it was the weekend. My dad coached my softball. My mother never went, and it seemed so normal!

Now, I could never imagine not going to my kids games, running around like a crazy person picking up/dropping off at practices, trying to get groceries and other errands in between driving from one end of town to the other. What would my car look like without duffle bags filling the back? What would an evening be like without throwing in a load of laundry to wash a uniform needed tomorrow? Will I ever see my laundry room without a couple of cases of gatorade on the floor? When can I stop keeping medical physical forms in my glove compartment, pocketbook, drawer at work and desk at home? And my new favorite....how the team decides to dress for school on game days. Love when my DD comes home at 9:00pm and says "I need to wear tie dye tomorrow" or in the dead of winter says "I need to wear all white tomorrow". Ahhhh.....I need a vacation :)

So I am finally packed. Going to clean my car out and wrap up some last minute things and then go see beauty and the beast. Leaving at 4am to start the long drive.
Enjoy the movie you will love it :goodvibes
Safe travels :car: and have a great time pixiedust:

How is your son feeling? It must be hard to be at Disney with an arm in a sling.
He's been such a champ! Kind of emotional at times (uncomfortable I think, but won't tell us), but he's been so good about it and not complaining about not being able to ride certain rides or swim. He accidentally got the top part of his casting wet in the bath Saturday but I was able to dry it with the hair drier and coat his skin with Vasline to protect it from moisture just in case. We have an appt on Monday when we return anyway and will probably have it recast just in case moisture got in lower.

The weather has been SO warm!!! Only 1 night was it chilly. Such a blessing really, so far no rain either.

Yesterday was Epcot, so beautiful!

Today is a "rest day", so we are just hanging out. Driving around, on our way visiting the Tesla car dealership.

Tomorrow is Hollywood Studios, gotta do RD to make Jedi Training sign up without waiting in an hour long line!

The kids autograph "book" shirts are turning out really cute too!

Love your pics and so glad your son is doing better and everyone is enjoying Disney

We finished our 1st Disney vacation on Friday March 17, checking out of CBR Martinique, 6 nights and 5 days in the parks. We had a great time even with the crowds, only real bad day was Wednesday March 15 at the MK, a lot of people and a lot of crabby people and we felt the park was dirty.

I only experienced 1 CM was was not very pleasant on Tuesday March 14 about 8:30pm at the America Pavilion pretzel shop, he did not say hello, acting like he was doing us a favor, and when he handed me my pretzel basically slammed it into my hand, and no response after, other than that we had great CM experiences, my DD 12 dropped her popcorn at AK and within 20 sec we were whisked off to a popcorn stand for a replacement and at HS her Ice cream fell off the stick and the CM from the ice cream stand was there with a new one. We spent a lot of time talking with multiple CM and found them all very friendly and helpful, we always made sure we were kind, and thanked them for everything they did for us.

Weather wise it was nice to have cooler weather at the parks (DW and DD 12 & DD 18 complained it was cold), only rain day was Monday March 13 when we where at Hollywood Studios.

Got back on Sunday after wonderful, magical week and man I am fighting the Disney Blues! The crowds were definitely high and continued to rise over the week our park days were very relaxed. Surprisingly I adored our EPCOT day which shocked me as EPCOT was my least favorite park last visit. I think the cool weather and F&G festival converted me to an EPCOT lover! We went to MK on 3/17 and it was packed. However we rope dropped and were able to complete basically every ride in the park.

As I told DD it was one of the best weeks of my life. Just filled with amazing memories. The only problem is, when do we get to start planning the next trip??:mickeyjum
