*****Official (??) June 2014 Thread -- Party Like It's Hot!*****

Just a note on the pain meds, first aid situation. I was in AK a couple of years ago and got a debilitating headache, with no meds on me! I wend to the nearest gift shop and asked, the CM said they only had Tylenol ( which wasn't gonna cut it), but sent me to a little grass hut kiosk at the intersection of Asia and Africa, which was cool cuz I expected to be told " you'll have to go to first aid at the park entrance". Anyway, the CM pulls out this little suitcase, not kidding- it was a suitcase like the decorative 1930s travelers you see at AK, opens it up and it is full of little packs of pills! They had allergy meds, OTC pain meds, and antacids. I really don't remember the $ but I do remember they had Excedrin Migraine and I WAS SAVED! Gotta admit it felt kinda shady buying pills in little packets out of a suitcase--lol!
I so need to find this place!!!
A grass hut between Asia and Africa where they sell meds out of a suitcase!
You can't beat that!

I found some Sketchers Go Walks at Khols today on sale and then used a 30% off coupon. They look like these except they are a navy blue made out of canvas material. http://www.amazon.com/Skechers-Go-Walk-Interval-Fashion/dp/B009Z5ERBE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1400558713&sr=8-1&keywords=skechers+women%27s+go+walk+interval+walking+shoe

Seem very comfy and I will give them a try at work one of these days. I had a hard time finding my size, 6. There weren't many choices in my size. One style of Go Walks had a lacey top that was cute but ran big for the size and 6 was the smallest size. The ones I ended up getting were true to size. I really wanted some light blue ones but they didn't have my size. Khols is kind of hit or miss with shoe sizes.
I also picked up two "wicking" sport shirts and a some sporty shorts for the trip.

DF and I will be getting married on june 8th, it will be our disneyweddingmoon!!! 17 days to go! is it too soon to start packing?

It's never too soon to start packing. In fact, if it weren't for the fact that I have a conference to go to week after next, I'd have started packing already.

Although, must say that I will write out a packing list, then, when I think I've got everything in the suitcase, I will take it all out and repack it just to make sure. Then I have a last-minute packing list, although, really, I need to get extras of those things to keep in the suitcase, just to make things easier... (you know..money, chargers, medication...things that you really can't pack until the last minute but also would be awful if you forgot them.

I do also keep a portable charger...I know they've got those charging stations now (and sometimes you can score access to a wall outlet in a restaurant...), but my little Anker lipstick style charger is great. I just bought one for Mom, too. Charge it like you charge your phone, then, if you are out and about and your phone is dying, plug it in. My main issue with it is that it doesn't always stay connected, so you do have to check on it, but it can give a full charge pretty quick, and it can charge more than one time.

Makes me think of GS cookie season... "Pst! Hey...come see what I've got over here!" Of course, that may have something to do with ethics laws and being told you can't sell things on campus to kids...the feeling that I need to do shady deals across the street out of the trunk of my car to sell them cookies....:rolleyes1

We have 29 days:banana: I can't believe how fast this trip has come up. So excited. Magic Bands should arrive in a few days. AoA will be our home for 10'days. We usually rent DVC since we are a Multi generational family but DD really wanted to stay in a Lion King suite. We have the Luau our first night, also doing Harambe Nights. This is going to be the best trip yet!!! think I might just explode. pS my ticker is wrong and I don't know how to fix it.

We are at 29 days as well, and are doing the Luau our first night! Maybe we will see you there :-) Our trip can't get here soon enough!!!

We are driving so we will leave on the 18 th and arrive on 19 th. So we will be at the Luau on the 19 th at the 8:00 pm show.

We are at 33 days and I can barely contain myself. TS reservations and FP+ are done. Now it's just packing and prepping and getting hyped for everything. My dad and I are now planning to try drink around the world. Mom hopes we don't end up sick on a ride.

29 days left! We are leaving early on the 18th too, by plane and arrive in the evening. Wish we were close enough to drive like to DLR because you have the freedom to bring more things. Like several cases of water.

25 days to go! We start the drive down in 23 days...We should be getting our MBs soon and I still have so many things to shop for :)

Two weeks from right now we will be at the airport, eating lunch and waiting for our 1:40 flight. We land at 8:30 pm. Wish it was earlier, but couldn't bring myself to use that many of my SW points. Not looking like there will be any last minute drastic fare cuts either- they are just going up and up. It'll be fine though, we will have more time in the morning at home to make sure everything is done and okay.

Yup. We'll be there on the 19th, 8pm show too. We're flying down on the 18th late so that makes it the 29 days but I guess I count the 19th as our first "real" day there.

Ain't that the truth ;)

It will be strange to be so far from home while at Disney that I won't be able to run home and get something I desperately need... Although I don't run home for stuff, it makes me feel secure knowing that I can.

I'm doing the single digit dance today. We are at t-minus 9 days (actually more like 8 days, 17hours) But who's counting?:cool1::banana::cool1::banana::cool1:

This time next Thursday, we will be in Orlando. And the first thing my DD wants to do is SWIM!

Took the dog to the vet today. He got a clean bill of health, got his vaccines and has lost weight since his last check up. :cheer2: Small dogs tend to gain weight easily. He's a schnogi (schnauzer/corgi) and they are almost always overweight.

Now he can get his reservation for his boarding.
