***Official June, 2012! Hot, hot, hot!!!***

Okay, I need some advice!! We will be eating at Ohana on the first night we get in, and I want to be able to watch the fireworks while we eat. About what time is a good time to make adr's for? I know it is a hard place to get reservations for, but I have found with my stalking of the reservation website, I have been quite lucky!! Fireworks should be at 10pm that night, and as it stands, I have an ADR for 7:55pm. Is this too early, should I look for something closer to 8:30-8:45ish, or is it an okay time? I wanna give us room to enjoy dinner, as well as leave a little room to wait for a table by the window if we need to. Whadda think??

I'm not sure that I can help, but I'll try. I'd try for 8:30-8:45 ish. This way you will be seated by 9:00-9:15 hopefully. This will give you 45 minutes to an hour to enjoy your dinner. You probably won't even be on dessert yet when the fireworks start. YUM! Bread pudding and fireworks!! I've never waited for a table by the window, so that may take longer. Maybe someone else can help you there.

This sounds like a great way to start your vacation!:cloud9:

Thanks so much!! That's kinda what I was thinking. I think it will work out okay if I can't find anything else, but I will prolly keep searching for that 8:30ish adr. Cross your fingers for us!:tink:

We'll be at POFQ at the same time!!:yay::yay:

Yay!!!! I'm so excited to be going back to our POFQ!! Hopefully it won't be too crowded! Right now it's not too bad and the weather here has been just perfect! I know it's going to be much, much hotter in 2 months! Doesn't matter, we'll be at Disney!!!! Woot woot!! :woohoo:

Well it's official PrincessSuzanne, you're my good luck charm. Until I graduate, I'm going to have you wish me good luck before every major test or paper. I got my grades today and I got an A in U.S. History and a B in Psyc. I would have gotten an A in Psych as well if I had paid attention to the description of the first paper in that class and didn't tank it b/c of it.

I've started THINKING about packing, does that count? I'm making my lists and making sure everyone has enough shorts/tees/socks...it usually takes me longer to make a list than to pack.

Not packing yet, but starting to put all the go-to-disney-stuff in the same room in a massive heap! lol!:rotfl:

Normally I start packing by now. If I get my school money, I'm thinking about getting new luggage, so I haven't started packing yet.

I always plan on packing early, but it never fails that I end up packing either at midnight the night before, or right before we leave for the airport!! Maybe this trip will be different since my kids and husband won't be coming (but I doubt it!) :rotfl2:

I'll be happy to be your good luck charm :goodvibes You'll do great

Well, we went away at the end of March and I didn't completely unpack then, but we are going to Biloxi/Gulfport in 2 weeks, so I am partially packed for that, I just won't unpack what I don't need to when we get back from there.

I have thie Coleman cooler bag my mom bought me, it doens't look like a cooler, that I use as a toiletry bag and I always try to keep it packed, just in case we decided to jump in the car and go somewhere, all I have to do is throw a few clothes in a bag and go. It's great, because if something leaks, it can just be wiped clean and there is no worry that it will leak out of the bag on to anything else. All my bottles stand up in it, it's the best $16 she ever spent.

I'm purchasing new luggage next week when I get paid. Checking all the sites for some good sales.

That's a great idea about the cooler bag. I always worry about the bottles leaking. I put them in ziplock bags and then into our toiletry bag but I like your idea even better.

Just placed our order with garden Grocer. Has anyone started packing yet?

I would love to pack if we actually had any carry on luggage to pack all the stuff in! :rotfl: I did put together a big Disney bag of toiletry stuff we plan on bringing. I am hoping to get away with not checking any bags so maybe I'll ship stuff down? I'm WAY too indecisive!!

It's been years since we've been to Biloxi/Gulfport. My DH has family that lived there. One of his uncles worked in one of the casinos on the beach (before Katrina) in the count room. Now he is the captian of some boat.

That is such a good idea with the cooler bag. I might do that for ours, instead of packing it in the luggage like I normally do. We just have so many bottles that we have to take. Just for the 4 of us, we have 3 different shampoos. My DH and oldest DS like to use Head and Shoulders, my youngest still likes to use the tear free little kids stuff, and I use Herbal Essence for hair that has been colored. Then we have 3 different body soaps, although we could get it down to 2 if we have to. My oldest DS and DH use an Old Spice, youngest DS likes the kid's stuff, and I use stuff with lotion in it (and the DH hates using anything with a lotion feel to it). My DH thinks we should just use whatever they have in the hotel. :lmao: Yeah, like that's ever going to happen. I just feel like they never leave enough shampoo for all the hair I have.

I found an ok set at Wal Mart on line. Well it was actually 2 sets. I set had three dark blue suitcases, so each of the men in the family could have their own. Then I was going to buy another one for me that had one suitcase and like a make-up bag, and the best part was that it was green. This way, it is obvious which suitcase is mine and the boys "don't get traumatized by the sight of my undies" as they have said before.

Yes!!! Toiletries, princess dresses, small things, etc. This is the first time in a long time that I really can't pack clothes yet. We usually go in Nov/Dec and I can pack clothes way in advance because the cold season is upon us, but not in June. It's KILLING me!!!!

For those of you who have used Garden Grocers in the past, how early should we make our order without threatening them being packed and not accepting anymore orders?
