***Official June, 2012! Hot, hot, hot!!!***

Sounds like a deal to me. That will be our arrival day and Epcot day, I hope to be there close to rope drop.

I'm not sure what time we'll get there. It'll probably be sometime after our 12:05 Mama Melrose's ADR.

My mom is letting me have some of her motion sickness patches. Hopefully, this will help me not get sick on ToT. When I told my DH that she was giving me some he was like, "Woo hoo!! Then we don't have to ride the wussie Mission: Space." I had to tell him, "umm heck no. I'm not as worried about getting motion sick on that one as I am having high blood pressure and riding it. It's just not going to happen."

Oh and you worked your good luck magic again. Out of 150, I got a 148 on my U.S. History paper. Now I just have to wait for the 26th for grades to be available.

WOOOOHOOOOOOOOO THIS IS AWESOME! I AM ALSO GOING TO DISNEY ASMovies on June 14-21. My daughter is scheduled to dance at Downtown DISNEY the 17th. WE ARE SO EXCITED! HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL AND MAGICAL TIME. =)

I'm not really sure what time we will get there either, but that's what I'm shooting for. Things never go as planned, as you can tell.

I don't ride either of those and have no desire to ever try. I may give RnRC another try this time, I couldn't in January because of the boot I was in, DH thought it was too far of a step down into the ride car, so he wouldn't let me ride.

I don't know how Epcot will so wiht no Test Track to ride, Dh doesn't really wanto to ride Soarin, I don't care for it, but will ride in the third row.

I'm so glad I'm your good luck, now if I could only be my own. I'm going to try not to worry about the PT test and Dh has started running several times a week to hopefully shave off that last 3 minutes from his run.

Now, I just hae to worry about the inlaws, leaving all the planning to me and I think I have screwed up :confused3

Well, they said that they would do another PT test while they are away at AT, but that just cuts it so close to our trip. He tried to get to talk to the Commander yesterday, but didn't get to. He has 4 weeks before they leave for AT and he says he will do some more running and keep up some other things he has been doing. He did shave about 10 minutes off his last time, so if he can shave that 3 minutes off.

I have been coloring my own hair since I was 17, I just use the box color that you buy at Target. I grew up with my mom doing it every 6 weeks. I almost always choose an Auburn tone, because the first time I colored my hair it came out a shade of Auburn and I loved it, no other color seems to compliment my skin tone as well and my own color is very dark brown and almost dull, and now I am getting more and more gray, I'm almost 39, and I am NOT ready to be gray!

I'm not sure what medboarding or chaptering is. My husband is a Reservist, so I'm not sure if they have an option like that. I am hoping if he doesn't pass the next test, they will give him the extension since he is trying. Hopefully, he can go back to working out some more and shave off that 3 minutes. He felt like they were at a disadvantage at the location where they tested, they didn't get to test at the same location as the NCOs. He said if they had, he probably could he passed.

I just google med board and chaptering and he isn't going for either. He is nearing the end of his extended contract, someone talked him in to a 1 year contract when he went back into the Reserves and he didn't pass the PT test in October, so they extended him until June and it is time for a PT test. In order for him to re-enlist, he has to pass a PT test, he got a little bit out of shape and has been working on that. He has no problem doing his job and he doesn't give them any trouble. He just needs to finish out a few more years for his 20 years, and he is still young. He would like to reclass, but he has to reenlist first.

We are also at 45 days today, hope we get to go. I have the money for the trip and we still have our military benefits until just after our trip is over, but I think I would feel guilty spending it.

Aaaah I see. Didn't realize he was a reservist. Hope that extension goes well anyway! :goodvibes I say that you go anyway. I know it sounds like throwing caution to the wind, but what better way to get a bit of fresh air and de-stress a bit? My hubby is in the process of medboarding and after being in for 7 years, this vacation is a NECESSITY. Just take into consideration all the factors of where you guys are at in life right now. I wish you the absolute best of luck and I'm crossing my fingers that you don't have to cancel. :sad2:

RnRC is another one that I will have to have the patch for. I didn't ride it last time b/c I was afraid I would get sick and John was too short. This time, that isn't an issue so I'm going to give it a try.

Hopefully, he can shave 3 minutes off his time. I know I couldn't in that short of time.

Okay, I need some advice!! We will be eating at Ohana on the first night we get in, and I want to be able to watch the fireworks while we eat. About what time is a good time to make adr's for? I know it is a hard place to get reservations for, but I have found with my stalking of the reservation website, I have been quite lucky!! Fireworks should be at 10pm that night, and as it stands, I have an ADR for 7:55pm. Is this too early, should I look for something closer to 8:30-8:45ish, or is it an okay time? I wanna give us room to enjoy dinner, as well as leave a little room to wait for a table by the window if we need to. Whadda think??

Yeah, we are still planning to go. I need to get away, I have a stressful job and need a break from work and home. My in- laws have never been, so we want to share one of our favorite things with them.

DH did 3 years active duty, that's how we met, then he had to do 5 years to meet his 8 year contract, leaving him 12 years until he reaches his 20 years for retirement, he will meet 10 years in July if he is able to re-enlist and only have 10 years left, he's young enough to pull that off. It's a fairly easy MOS, and for the most part, he enjoys what he does, he just gets annoyed at some of the young guys, but my DH is short on patience. It will all work out.

I was terrified the first time I rode RnRC, because I had just lost my mom to a massive heart attack. I hated the launch, not sure I will change my mind this time either, but I really want to try it.

Yeah, I couldn't shave off 3 minutes in a few weeks (who am I kidding, I couldn't shave off 3 minutes in 4 years, much less 4 weeks :rotfl2:) but he can if he sticks with what he has been doing. He has stopped almost all soda intake and he isn't eating as much junk food as he had been. I think he could have done it this time, but he said his side cramped up, I think it's because of the extra water intake and not adding some extra potassium.

Well, I talked to my MIL tonight and things are going to work out. She and her husband are going to take one day and drive down to Tampa to visit a friend, so I think DH and I will go to Blizzard Beach that day.

I really need to give up sodas, or at least the amount I drink. I almost totally gave them up when Snapple pulled what they did, and I could no longer get Dublin Dr. Pepper. I need to work my way off of it, but could never go cold turkey. Me going cold turkey off DP is way worse than PMS, and the headaches are so bad.

I'm glad things worked out with the in laws. Hopefully, it's a sign that the rest of the time until the trip will be smooth.

I had to go back and look where you were from! I actually have not bought a Dr. Pepper product since then...we have a few local places that still have the original Dublin DP in their fountains...but once it's gone, it's gone.

I think I will be fine giving up soda, it's my sweet tea that I can't give up, but I usually only have maybe one glass a day, and that is my big glass that I bring to work with me in the morning and sometimes, I don't even finish it. I drink water at lunch and then I usually have a Cherry Coke or 2 in the afternoon, but I know I have to give that up, except as a treat. I am addicted to Cherry Coke.

I know I won't completely give it up, I just have to have a Cherry Coke sometimes. I have even gotten to where I will order water at most restaurants because a soda or tea is almost $3. There are places and times, I will order a tea, because that particular restaurant make really good sweet tea. I can't imagine the headaches I would get if I gave it up completely.

Yeah, I think things are finally starting to fall into place, slowly but surely. I am really excited this morning, except my reservation still isn't showing up on the Disney website, but they have assured me that it is still there. The CM I spoke to last night said I needed to pay the $0.20 that wasn't paid on our room only deposit, I thought I paid it all, I wasn't going to pay $0.20, so I paid $25. She said they might cancel it if it wan't paid, she was a real nut!

we will be at POP June 2-9,. first trip in 6 years.... cant believe it's so close.. Any word on extended park hours yet? I read that HS is extending on SW weekends and extra Fantasmic and I've read that May MK extended hours are out???? what about June???
I'm still debating if I should order from the Garden Grocer.. We are bringing Brita refillable water bottles but, wasnt sure if I should get a case of water as well. Then I can also get some Starbucks double shots and a few breakfast pastry type things.. Said and done it was $65!!! Not sure if it's worth it.

I haven't seen any extended hours, yet, except for EEMH on June 8th at MK, because that's my birthday and the park we will be at that day. I keep checking. I need to catch a Fantasmic in there somewhere, but with only 3 nights, that might be hard.

We bring a few bottles of water, but when at the park, I usually just ask for a cup of ice water at the CS locations, it's free and cold. And because it comes out of the soda machine it's already filtered.

Here now at POR but just booked POFQ for DD (emma212010) and I from June21-25!!! So makes leaving Friday a lot easier!!!! Yay!!!

My DH still looks at me like I'm crazy when I order sweet tea at certian restaurants. If we eat Italian, I have to drink sweet tea. I just don't like to drink soda with it for some reason. I was planning on drinking tea when we eat on our WDW trip. Since they don't have Dr. Pepper in the parks, and I hate Coke. I'll just have to bring some sweet 'n low b/c I'm not sure if they serve sweet tea, or if it's unsweet. I don't like to put sugar in tea unless it's hot b/c it never seems to disolve all the way and I hate that layer of sugar at the bottom when it doesn't disolve all the way. I'm planning on packing some Dr. Pepper for the rest of our trip though, so I'll have it in the room at night.

That's just crazy that it would have been canceled for $0.20.

Uh, for the most part all the tea at WDW is unsweet. There are a very few places that have that Gold Peak tea and they offer sweet, Columbia Harbour House comes to mind, but I don't really care for that. I find that Splenda dissolves really well and I can tolerate it if I have to. I may make a gallon and bring it with me for the fridge in the room.

I don't care for regular Coke much, but love Cherry Coke. My MIL and I are going to hit the Commissary when we go to post to pick up our tickets and get some snacks and drinks, so DH doesn't have to have a $2.50 Coke everyime I turn around.

Well, the CM said that the system didn't recognize it as $0.20, so it was possible for it to be cancelled. I don't think she knew what she was talking about.

It would have stunk if your reservation got canceled over $.20, but I would also kinda understand. They have to draw a line. If they let you go with .20, then what's to stop someone with $1, or maybe $10. Then if you let someone with $10 left, why shouldn't you let someone with $20? I think you see where this is going. Anyhow, at least it is taken care of! Hope everything continues to work out!:thumbsup2

Maybe it just showed that you still had a balance?:confused3 Not sure, but it still seems silly to cancel over $0.20 without contacting you.

Oh I agree that they have to draw a line some where. In today's world, if someone hears that she got away with not paying the $0.20, then they won't see their $1 as a big deal. Then the person that didn't pay $1 will tell someone and they won't see paying off that last $10 as a big deal. However, it is just $0.20. It's not like they can't tell her at check in, "oh you still have a balance of $0.20" and get it then. Heck, most of the time, I have at least $0.20 on me.

Oh, boy would it have stunk, I would not have been nice at all. I booked this back in February and honestly didn't know about it until last night. The original CM that booked it was a very talkative, 70 year old man and I am sure it was just an honest mistake, he just hit the wrong button. It wasn't on the reservation they e-mailed me.

I think it's silly, too, guess it was good I called in. The CM said the system had no way of distinguishing between $.20 and $200. But, I also wouldn't think the system automatically cancelled reservations either, but what do I know :lmao:
