***Official June, 2012! Hot, hot, hot!!!***

Just placed our order with garden Grocer. Has anyone started packing yet?

I just UNPACKED from this trip (we got home a few hours ago - LOL) and while I was doing it, I was like, um...maybe I should organize things so that it will be a breeze to pack it all again in a few months! Hahahaha! At least I don't need to buy anything for myself (maybe for DD) because I got a lot of great outfits for this trip that I didn't even get to wear, it was a bit chilly this week! I'm sure in June I won't have that problem! ;)

Yes!!! Toiletries, princess dresses, small things, etc. This is the first time in a long time that I really can't pack clothes yet. We usually go in Nov/Dec and I can pack clothes way in advance because the cold season is upon us, but not in June. It's KILLING me!!!!

For those of you who have used Garden Grocers in the past, how early should we make our order without threatening them being packed and not accepting anymore orders?

I always place our order about a month out just to be safe. I'm a little ahead of schedule this trip. Two weeks out should be fine unless you're traveling during a holiday.

I found an ok set at Wal Mart on line. Well it was actually 2 sets. I set had three dark blue suitcases, so each of the men in the family could have their own. Then I was going to buy another one for me that had one suitcase and like a make-up bag, and the best part was that it was green. This way, it is obvious which suitcase is mine and the boys "don't get traumatized by the sight of my undies" as they have said before.
:lmao: :rotfl:

I definately don't want black again. It's so hard trying to pick out our black luggage from the 200 other black suticases at the airport when we fly home :rolleyes1

I was checking Walmart and Ebags I can't decide if I want the hard shell or not. They look cool but I'm concerned how well they would hold up. Both sites have some nice color choices have to give it some more thought.

I don't blame you, I would want something that sticks out too. Which made me think that Sam Moon has luggage and I just found some super cute luggage on their site.
So far I like

Nice looking bags, still be sure to look at id tags. I have a red hard shell bad, I guess another ladie on my flight had the same bag. I had to chase her down at bag claim, she walked off with mine. :scared1:

I like those too and they would definately stand out. I just finished looking at Walmart and now I'm on Ebags and they're offering free shipping.

Another good place to look for luggage are places like TJ Max. They usually have some different styles and are a bit cheaper! Happy shopping!

I have bought several smaller bags from eBags but still buy my bigger luggage in person from local stores so I can see it. We have traveled enough over the years and had soft luggage ruined that we finally invested in hard sided luggage last summer. The newer "hard" luggage is lighter and nowhere near as heavy as it was years ago.

The only soft side luggage that has held up for us is no longer sold and that was made from what is called a "ballistic" type fabric. I love it! It is very sturdy but the bag is not quite as large as I would like.

So our current luggage is Samsonite 4 wheel top of the line that move freely and this older ballistic fabric bag that is no longer sold. I chose the Samsonite in an off red so it does stand out.

Have you had any problems with your hard sided luggage getting dented after going through the airports and baggage handlers?

I really like the look of the hard sided but am concerned how they hold up.

I can't believe she didn't double check the tag before walking away with it. I guess she thought she was the only one on the planet with that luggage. For us it won't be a problem, even if we just get all black or navy blue. We're driving, so unless someone sneaks there luggage in, we'll be good. :lmao:

ok, maybe on odd question, but I promise it is about our June WDW trip. We went today and saw the new Pirates movie in 3D. I thought I had heard some time before that fireworks look really cool if you wear 3D glasses. Instead of sticking them in the recycle bin, I brought them home with us. I have looked on line and I can't really find anything that says what is does to wear 3D glasses while watching fireworks. I can find lots of sites that have them for sale for watching fireworks, so I'm guessing it does something. Anyone know what kind of effect it has to wear the 3D glasses while watching fireworks? Also, does it look cool enough to bother keeping them in my purse during the day?

Well, that's a new one on me, never heard that. We have kept several pairs, because we were going to try them out at Mickey's Philharmagic to see if they are like the ones used there, but we always forget them.

I may stick a pair in my trip bag and given it a try.
