We are both middle school teachers. We will be going DW June 4-9. We are celebrating the end of another school year and a wonderful summer ahead with our daughter. Staying at POR and we CANNOT wait!

Our trips are getting closer!!!! DD and I made a 100 day countdown chain last night...even though we don't hit 100 days until next Friday. I plan on making Mickey waffles and having a 100 day celebration at home with the little ones, that will even include goodies from Mickey Mouse and Tinkerbell!

Now if only the hours will come out so that I can finally decide on park days so I can make my ADR's!!

Count us in for June 16-23 at the WL. This is our first trip to WL and a deluxe resort. Also, our first time on the Dining Plan. We are so excited.

I am trying to wait patiently for the June hours to be posted, and our time to make our ADRs. is not coming fast enough.

I've started my binder.

We are both teachers, and we can't think of a better way to start the summer.

We usually go in July, and last year we had to go in June...and LOVED it. It's hot...but not TOO hot like July. I was actually cold some of the nights! So, now we are sticking with June.

We're going June 15th-23rd..Well checking in on the 15th and checking out the 23rd..We had to take a day off but it will save us money. Oh and we're staying at Pop.

We like June because our bodies are still on school time.Early mornings, long days. If we waited until later in the summer, we would be used to sleeping in. Some people think that this is a weird reason, but it works for us. Heat isn't too bad. The lines are long, but if you have a good touring plan, you can get around them.

We haven't been to Disney World since Nov/Dev 2007, we decided to go to DisneyLand last june and I really liked it, but I missed Disney World! So we are anxious to get back. We will be doing with my BIL and family and we will be there for my birthday!!!! Just wish hours would come out so I can plan my days out better!

We were at AKL Oct.07...It was one of the most AMAZING trips ever! Everynight in the loby they have a paraide for the kids! It was SO COOL! I cannot wait to get back there. Relax, enjoy and Have a GREAT trip!!![/

What time do they typically have the parade? Our flight is getting in at 3 something and we are staying at AKL the first night only. and I don't want to miss anything!

Okay, so hot but not TOO hot. Got it -- BUT, what about rain? Is that a standard in June at this point... We have never been in the summer. Always in Fall. We are from Maryland, so used to humidity, but I don't think June humidity in MD is like June Humidity in FL.. maybe more like August here in MD? Regardless, it is snowing this morning, so I will take any kind of sun and heat at this point!

We went Jersey Week this past Nov. And people were complaining about those crowds, and I didn't see any problem with crowds then, so maybe it is comparable? We are going to try and follow the Unofficial Guide book plan this time....

I live in southern PA (about 10 min. from MD) and yes the humidity is about the same in FL as it is for us in Aug. I think we have been very lucky with the rain. It rains in the afternoon on some days. Sometimes it depends on what park you are in. One time it rained for about 20 minutes while we were at DHS. When it was over, everyone had left. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was so cool. We don't mind the rain. The storms don't usually last that long.

I've used the touring plans for UG and have never had any troubles with lines. DH is also the master of the FP.

This will be my first time ever in the summer months too (June 21-28) and I've been worrying about the heat. Good to hear it's not unbearable. I've always been in March and once in December when we actually had to wear jackets. I'm looking forward to splash mountain and getting wet this time. I skipped it last time since it was pretty cool out.

Planning mom - you're using the UG too? I haven't been in 15 yrs and am getting a little nervous reading it about how crazy crowds are these days. I am figuring on using one of their touring plans and then eliminating anything we aren't as interested in the first MK day to move up the plan. The second day we do MK I think we'll re-ride our favorites and then do anything that wasn't a big priority the first time.

I'm also waiting waiting, waiting for June hrs. I've got a prelim plan based on the May EMH's that I'll adjust when they do get posted. I actually tried to squeak in a Chef Mickey ADR a few days after the June 19 cut off since I'm going for the earliest booking and didn't think it would make a difference to getting to rope drop, but no go. Have to wait until March 23.
