Official JUNE 2009 Thread!!!

That ticker says 3 days! My son's team won their baseball game last night! He was so excited...we all were since this team was undefeated during the regular season! If we win tonight we knock them out of the playoffs! The bad part is that it is supposed to pour down rain all day and night today.
Also, my son had a super hit to left center field that brought in the winning run. The coach thanked him after the game and he is just beaming.

3 more days!

Last night, I booked Narcoosee's for Sunday night. Now I'm excited because I can call up the GF Bakery and order a cake! (Must hurry up and get to it, though!) I just have to decide...do I want just the little 4" cheesecake, or do I want a real cake that I can haul back to the room and we can eat on all week? But...We're on DxDP.. Between that and every table service ADR being noted with it being our birthday...I think we're going to be on a sugar high all week. Perhaps just the cheesecake?

At the very least...I need to call and order the chocolate slipper for my DD for next Thursday at CRT.

I have put up the scrapbooking supplies...giving up on that until after the trip. I have a week after we return that I don't think I have to do anything much....Perhaps that would be a good time for catching up.

But...3 More Days!!!

That is AWESOME for your son! Then to top it off later with a trip to Disney! Does it get any better than that for a child? :rotfl:

I would go with the cheesecake. After the deluxe dining plan just looking at more dessert might make you positively ill!

I hope it's okay to ask this question here. I would like to get a cake or something delivered to our room when we arrive at the BC. Can I do that? Any ideas? Who do I call? TIA Hope you have a great trip.

We are staying at POR from June 21 through June 28!!!

Can't wait.

2 more days!!!!!![/I have laundry to do today and pick up so i dont come home to a mess, tomorrow i have to go downtown and get my nails filled and d hair cut. I need to take a sleeping pill though its getting worse and worse lolCOLOR]

What is a lime green Mickey head?

A Lime Green Mickey Head (aka LGMH) can be found at Home Depot. It is an Alien Green paint chip sample. If you go to the paint section at HD, there is a spot for Disney pain. Alien Green is the official color of the DIS. I take two Mickey heads, cut them out, glue them together, write my DIS username on them and then laminate them. I then attach it to my park bag so other DISers can spot me!

Packing now - we leave at 7am tomorrow morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:banana::banana::banana:

Great idea Dancegrl to put your username on the LGMH. I've cut them out and am taking them to laminate today but didn't think to put my name on it.

I have my username on one side and then "Do you DIS?" on the other! I bought self-sealing laminating pouches from Walmart and they work great! They are about the size of a business card and are made by Scotch (like the tape). I found them in the office supply aisle. They are very easy to use.

Just back and will agree with PPs...it was really hot! Be prepared! We have been in Aug. for our last few trips, but it is still hard to get used to. Also, crowds! OMG! I waited an hour for an ADR 2 nights in a row! It made me miss Illuminations and cut into EMHs at Scifi. I was out of a 7:30 (that was sat after 8:30) at 11! Grr! With FP and rope drop, though, we did almost everything! The one day we slept in, though, we chose to go to AK and all FPs were out! Seemed that FPs for major attractions were out by lunch at the latest, so be prepared! Crowds and heat aside, we still had a wonderful trip! No bus problems at all (stayed at CSR and never have problems-values are another story!).

It was HOT and crowded but miss it and wish I was there:cloud9: We were there from 6/5-6/13. We had a wonderful and fun time. No complaints we were at DISNEY but next time we are trying for NOV. 2011. Our first full two days at the parks were very nice, some clouds and rain. Thursday 6/11 was the only day that the heat really did us in but left the HS at 2 PM. Enjoyed evenings at DTD, the Boardwalk(we stayed at the lovely POFQ) and had a blast at MK for the evening EMH on 6/12. I am a red head from Pittsburgh, PA and I survived June in WDW. Do they give out stickers for that? We decided if we have to visit in June(always with a happy face) we will stay at a deluxe just to be able to get back to the resorts quickly to shower:thumbsup2 and off we go again.

See ya in 2011. Hoping for a 40th celebration:wizard:

My dh is a red head from Canonsburg, PA! We'll be there on Sunday! It does look like the temps go down a small bit for next week with that daily chance of rain. Did you go to any water parks? How crowded were they?
