Official JUNE 2008

we are getting very excited here for our 1st trip. The girls get out of school on the 11 and we are leaving on the 19 for the drive down to florida.

Amy - this will be our 2nd time being their for Father's Day and the kids pick out a t-shirt for their dad to wear. In 06 when he was taking a shower the kids got out their t-shirt that said "Greatest Dad" that they got at Old Navy. DH was very surprised!!!

They have bought another t-shirt and plan on doing the same thing. Good Luck!

:wizard:

We found a "Greatest Dad" t-shirt this past weekend at Steve & Barry's. Gotta love everything is $8.98! DH will be surprised!

First trips are the best! I just loved watching my DDs expressions when they saw their favorite princesses! Of course, they were much younger than they are now, but they are just as excited about our upcoming trip now as they were four years ago!:)

  Single digit dance!

I had to send one of my daycare kiddos home (I have a licensed home daycare) today. She got to coughing hard, gagged, and next thing I knew (TMI!) projectile puking! I pray it is nothing that I will get and I am taking extra Vit C now.

Chicken nuggets: I have read they are smaller pieces of the chicken tenders. I pray they are closer to the old style or my DD will not eat them. I sometimes hate having a picky eater! I wonder how we will handle the bread thing...

Nine days - I am so jealous!! I, too, have a picky DD. She doesn't eat much - chicken nuggets, peanut butter sandwiches (no jelly), and anything pork. Weird, huh?

My niece had that projectile vomiting the other day. However, after she was done, that was it. She was bouncing off the walls afterwards. I know a lot of kids who throw up when they cough and gag. Hopefully that is all that it was. I know what you mean about not wanting to get sick - I have been thinking the same thing. Perhaps I should give the kids a Flintstone vitamin everyday and DH and I should take Centrum! :)

I'm just trying to shake this cold that has had me since the beginning of May. A day without a cough would be a miracle at this point!!

I've got to get a swimshirt for DH and some new luggage and then we're set!:goodvibes

Of course then I have to start packing said new luggage, but that's when the fun really begins!

June can't get here soon enough.:woohoo:

We always get sick at WDW. I can imagine how many germs are there. So I start eating a yogurt every day before we go about a month out and giving one to DD and DH also. One year we had a stomah virus so bad and it was yuck! (yes there was vomiting involved....ew) DD always gets a fever of some sort and unkown origin but hopefully we can make it thru this year without any serious ailment.

19 days and counting. I had to pull summer clothes out of my already packed suitcase :rolleyes1 We got hot for 2 days 90's and humid. I told DD get use to it that's what it will be like when we get to WDW :rotfl:

What a cute idea! I wish DH would go for that. I think that I will just have to buy him a new metal ladder and give it to him the Friday before Father's Day. I know that he would like one of those! I just wanted to make his Father's Day a little more special.

A lil more specail...Did you forget where he is going to be on Father's day...DISNEY WORLD. Hello that is pretty darn special. LOL
The kids bought their dad a new beach towel for the trip and I made us all semi matching shirts. They are all red with Mr Incredible on them. DH's Says Most Incredible dad, then the kids are both wearing one that says I have the most incredible dad, and I am wearing one that says I have an incredible husband. they are so cute. Were given him all that early Father's day morning before we hit the park. I know it is a lil corny but oh well. It is not much but this year we didn't allow each other to do much for Mother's / Father's day as we are putting money back for WDW, and were going to Nashville too. It is a busy month for us...and a $$$$$ one too.

11 days for us, well not quite, maybe more like 10.5. I was sick with my allergies over the weekend and just getting better. I was sick before we left for WDW last June and they were going to stick us in a room that had previously been a smoking room, well I changed that quickly. They didn't really want to get us another room, but I wasn't going to stay in that room and get sicker and sicker, which I did, but not at least because of the smoke smell.

I am so excited. We went to Disney store in Alpharetta this weekend, hoping it wouldget me excited, but it didn't, cause it was kinda crappy store, not like the one we used to have. We did have a great time at the American Girl Botique and Bisto, though.

I have started getting stuff together to put in my suitcase, so it is just around the corner.

We are leaving in 10 days too!!! This is our first trip in June since 1992, so remind me what to expect--I know it is going to be crowded and hot, but how crowded really and how hot really?!?!?! We have been going during offtimes lately, so I want a good reality check to remind myself what it is actually going to be like so I can prepare my little one!! TIA, Jen (MegansMom)

Unfortunately we will arrive the day AFTER father's day. My parents and I are traveling to Disney to show my little girl the Wonderful Magic of Disney.

Maybe my present to him could be that I drive all 10 hours to Tennesse then the other 10 hours to Disney? I might even throw in a Disney Tie...tack.

To me it really isn't that crowded. It does get hot, but it is about that hot here where I live, so I am used to it. Going in and out of the rides won't be that bad, because you will wait in line in the shade most of the time. I guess we are so busy I don't have time to notice the heat and I DON'T like heat at all. We do take a mid-day break probably around 12-1pm, since we will have an 8:15am breakfast and get to the park shortly after opening. We will probably have lunch at Pop and I will take my cousin to the pool for a little while, so mom can nap. We will probably take a catnap and head back to the park about 4pm and stay until close to 2am on Sunday(Monday) morning, since it is my birthday, I have park choice. We did that last year and practically had the park to ourselves from early evening. Most locals have gone home, so they can go to work on Monday.

We may take my cousin to DHS on Saturday afternoon, depending on what time we arrive Saturday. I want to go to the outlets and DTD. Sunday is MK day and Monday we go to Epcot and BW, then home on Tuesday after a little resort hopping.

Oh I know what you mean about hot and humid. We are suppose to have a heat index of 102 F today! If our temps continue to be like that here, WDW will be a snap!

 We have got 18 days till we leave and 19 days until we arrive at WDW!!!!

Hopefully you all will have a nice, sick-free trip! We used to be so cautious of our kids by trying to keep them sick-free but they always ended up getting something. Maybe we will all be extremely fortunate in that no one will get sick during our trips!

Yes it will be hot but we always go in the summer (DH and I are teachers) so I usually do something like ride 2 outside rides, then do a show, ride 2 more outside thngs, do an inside thing.....like ride Dumbo and the Carousel and Tea Cups, see Philharmagic (indoors, seated, AC), ride Splash Mtn and BTMRR, do Hall of Presidents (inside, seated, AC), LOL! Drink lots of water, wear lots of sunscreen and you should be fine!

Also I think by going in early June, lots of places are still in school so they wont really be doing family vacations. It will probably be less crowded than later on in June or July.
