It's not a silly question. I will try to explain and maybe someone else will post corrections or added thoughts to what I am about to say.

It's a Dis thing. Hang a LGMH on your back pack, belt loop, purse or hipster to signify to other Dis friends who you are. It's neat to be walking in the Parks and someone taps you on the shoulder or just stops you to introduce themselves as a Dis member. You get to visit with them and acknowledge that you are as crazy about Disney as they are.

Does that help? I am also going to paint a glow in the dark lime green Mickey head on my forehead during our nights at the Parks.

I don't care about the temps as long as those tropical storms, and hurricanes stay away from Florida. Here's hoping that we have nothing more to contend with than the usual afternoon cloudburst.

HAPPY JULY EVERYBODY! We made it!!!!!

How many times will I go to our spare bedroom and look to see if I have packed everything for DD and I ???????

Here I was thinking I was 'adventurous' hanging the LGMH from my bag; all I can say is you're a brave man. If I see a green glow in the crowd I'll know it's you.

I usually cut them out, glue them back to back, punch a hole in them and write my screen name on them. Then "laminate" with clear packing tape. Then they're tied on with pretty pink zebra ribbon.

High 80's would be great but my experience with 6 years of July Vacation weather has been Mid - 90's and afternoon showers just about every other day.

I was checking the weather channel out, looks like the next week might be a little damp and cooler than normal temps in FL. It is finally gorgeous up here in MN, we have the sun! I hope the weather is nice when we head out, but no matter what we will have fun rain or shine!

If anyone is wondering the weather has been rain off and on the past two days Today's rain was the worse. Hoping tomorrow is better, the temperature has been great despite all the rain. We are still having a blast though!

Darnit, now you got me digging through my luggage looking for my Green Mickey heads from 2010! I know right where they are, too!

I am in the DIS pretty much the same time as you, RHMH. I will be looking for the glowing dis-embodied micky head floating in the darkness! lol. I think you and I overlap at Hollywood Studios. Maybe we will see U there.

Looks like Orlando is in for a wet July! My friend is in Disney now with her son, who is in a handicap stroller. He was so excited when she surprised him with a Disney trip ( He's 6 and has moderate CP) She posted a video of him finding out he was going to Disney the other day and I melted into a little puddle when I watched it. Adorable!

Ok it was a big puddle.

Looks like we will only be in Parks 4 days, two of them halves, and then half day at DTD, the other days will be spent at Bonnet creek visiting with family, and a trip to the Space Center. ( not my idea, but, it's a must for this space crazy family). Anyone venturing out to the Space Center? It's a lot different from when I was a kid, that's for sure!

We're celebrating my nephew's 15th birthday.
I wanted to get him a Disney birthday card which the CMs in all the different countries could sign "Happy Birthday" in their languauge.

Is there any place in the resort (AKL- Kidani) or MK or Epcot which would sell birthday cards??

I don't know where you can get a card. I know that Jiko gave us a birthday card when we dined there with lovely sayings from the staff. I wonder if they would give you one at AKL front desk. It's a red card with "Celebrate Today" on the front.



I'm actually making a custom card for my parents anniversary. Which falls on the last full day we will be there. I plan to make my rounds to each country in Epcot and get "Happy Anniversary" in different languages.
