EEYOREPIXIE... I have an Ohana ADR on 7/16 for 10 people I may cancel. Would that day work?

Do we have an ADR cancellation thread? I was looking for it last night If not does anyone have any ADRs they are holding onto that they may cancel? I have one other for Olivia's but I'm not positive what day we ill keep until we get there. I do feel kind of guilty for holding the 2 Ohana ADRs since it is such a hard ADR to get. I will cancel before trip. So if anyone needs it we could arrange to cancel/call at the same time.

So you all know how I am bringing a little girl for her very first trip to Disney.

We are telling her on her Birthday in 10 days but she has always wanted to be surprised...so we are giving her a fake date of July 21, but the kids think we are leaving the 18th, but they too were disappointed not to be surprised....so Mommy pulled a fast one and our REAL date is the 16th ...so all the kids are going to be surprised!

Well there has been some major developments! The little girls family were supposed to go to Hawaii, because of the Dads work. Great opportunity, could not be missed so their money was going to that trip.....but it has been cancelled! So you know what is happening....they are joining us for the 2nd half of our trip.

They are staying at Shades of Green, military tickets....I had to make a few adjustments to our itinerary, but they will get to do all 4 parks once, and two water parks. I also have had luck with all my ADR's.

The only problem I am having is Ohana's we are planning their arrival day is on our MK day. We are thinking of surprising her at Ohanas...because the symmetry is just too delicious! Ohana means family...no one is left behind! Plus the POLY is a good logistically because SOG is next to it and so is MK.

So I was furiously making changes yesterday, I was surprised my kids did not get suspicious!

I just ordered, 92 shirts and 100 transfers Sunday I wish I knew they were coming! I need to now make shirts for the 3 of them too.
Their other child is high functioning Aspergers, this is one of the reasons they have not done Disney.

I love this family, and I want it to be the best trip ever.

I have already given her the rundown of how we tour: Park Days non- negotiable, we will be there early they can be late, but we will be at the pool while they are waiting in lines, LOL...that this is their vacation too, so do not feel obligated to do what we do when in the parks or anytime for that matter.

Let the family know that when they're at SOG, they can ask for the Shady Shuttle at the bellhop/valet area. It will take them down to the crosswalk to the Poly which will limit the amount of walking they'll need to do to get to Poly. The pathway will bring them to the entrance near the arcade on the first floor. Without the Shady Shuttle they will walk almost a mile to Poly.

Oh thank you, you are so sweet it would not work it is the 24th we need it, but this is when my obsessive nature really pays off

I am in a bit of panic over our car rental!
O.K. we are going July16-31, I usually go August...I booked a ressie that I could live with or so I thought until people started telling me not to trust the code on the transportation board. I thought to myself well...I am far out the bargains always get closer, I will be O.K. ....NOT!

Almost a month out and the minivan option had disappeared from budget, National and another major car place...forgetting having a Dory moment Is July like this? or will it open up again? I am verra nervous about this one, because I am on a budget. Oh yeah we have 4 kids, 2 adults and lots of luggage a minivan is a must or we just won't fit.

The code we used was the vroom, vroom code and on the DIS there has been debate that it might be "hinky" and I could have to pay full price at the counter. that would just not do, the cost is like 1500

I posted this on the transportation board too, I really want feedback from experience July people! I figure they are the ones who will really know what the deal is? KWIM? Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated because I am nervous.

We leave in 34 days, the ticker is a fake to trick my kids who look over my shoulder all the time. I thought it was the parents who were supposed to be looking over the shoulder? They like to see what Disney "stuff" I am up to

I put your dates in and the cheapest was EZ Rental Car $895 TOTAL.
You can reserve without paying. I made several reservations and would cancel when I got a cheaper one. Good Luck

Also try different pick up locations if that is an option. Maybe there is a rental location near the resort, is it Avis or Alamo? Take ME to resort then taxi or rental place pick you up and return mini van to airport.

You are absolutely right, I have picked up rental cars at the Hess's Station on the way to MK. I have checked into the Resort and the Rental company will pick you up from the resort and take you to the Hess's Station, then when you are finished, return the vehicle and they will again take you back to the resort.

I know the feeling. My Boss, I've worked with for over 25 years dislikes Disney. I have talked about Disney non-stop for the past 13 years every since my DD was old enough to go to Disney.

He said to me "Disney this, Disney That" I am so sick of you talking about Disney. He really can't say anything because I do my job and his too.

He still does not like it when I go on vacation to Disney.

AND YES!!!! I have been at work since 5AM and on Dis at the same time. He will probably say something about me being on Dis because he has a monitoring system to see what sites we are on, on company time.

I know what you mean. I'm a teacher and all I can focus on is my Disney trip while at work. The last day of school can't come fast enough!
