~~*Official July 2013 Thread!*~~Our Month has Arrived!

We have 26 days until our first stay at a deluxe:woohoo: This is also a surprise trip for the kids-- it has been so hard not to tell them, but will be worth it to see their reaction! I'm kind of nervous about the July heat and thunderstorms but we will have an awesome time no matter what:thumbsup2

If you're worried about the heat, take breaks inside the stores or rides. You can also go to Walmart and get the Frogg Toggs ($19)or the knockoffs called Chilly Towel ($13). They're big enough to be split into smaller strips. You wet them in the morning they're dry to the touch and they keep you cool.

I can't believe we are down to under a month!!!! I'm sure this last month will fly by and then we will blink twice and it will be over. :upsidedow

We got our Mickey Mail this weekend!!!:cheer2: Now all we have to take care of is meals and BBB and PL appts for the grandkids. It is really happening!!!!

Has anyone used the AAA parking passes before? We ordered one on E-bay for our DS who is insisting on renting a car while the rest of us bus - just wondered if anyone has any experience with it?

We have used the parking pass many times. It is great especially when you get to the parks early. The parking spots are close.

Angalee - Please cancel The Plaza on the 14th for us.

I Forgot we had a Dis meet. :yay:

We're in school until June 27th and my sister (also a teacher) is in school until June 28th!
Kids don't learn anything in June!

Nope... Turns into babysitting ... Too bad we aren't paid at a babysitters rate... Even $10 per kid per hour would be a great deal for the last week of school!!! Haha!!!

I completely agree. Our last day is tomorrow and I have been babysitting for at least two weeks now, except for the exams we just had. The kids are so do e and so are we. Can't wait for to tomorrow at 12:10 when kids are released to go home. Woohoo!

Disney trip paid off, school ending, summer beginning, a Disney trip in sight! So many reasons to be excited!

Will do when I get home this afternoon from work. :thumbsup2

A DisMeet is so much more fun! Glad you will get to meet some more people from our group. Sad we are not going at the same time this year.

I am also a teacher and our last day is the 24th. It was supposed to be the 20th but we are still making up days we missed because of hurricane Sandy. I am SO done. I think I am more done than the kids! I am still trying to do actual work but no one is in the mood! We're making lots of booklets and projects and worksheets. Busy work to get through the days!

Well we are back from our June Family Gathering trip.....and I can't wait to get back in July!!!

It was GREAT:thumbsup2 so different touring the parks with 2 toddlers...they are so cute at that age (it's been a LONG time since mine were toddlers)

Busses were hit or miss in the morning from CSR, but leaving the parks were good.

So many rides went down during our stay, I felt really bad for my sister who hadn't been in a few years. Even Peter Pan (after we literally killed 2 hours waiting in the heat with a 3 year old for her fastpass to be ready) was down when we turned the corner :headache:

This surprises me because a few years ago we had a big wildfire, and due to air quality, they shut school down for a week. We never had to make up the days because it was considered a natural disaster. Seems that a hurricane would fit into that category.

Good luck getting through! I've got 2 more days and they could not be dragging any slower...

Angalee - Midori asked if she was able to see you again. I told here your plans were at the end of the month. She was sad...

Did you like my M.E. joke?

I totally agree. It makes no sense. I would gladly take the babysitters rate for the last 2 weeks of school. We can't even look forward to half days. All days next week are full days.
