My last day is also the 26th. But we did just have a 6 day weekend for Memorial Day! Just dreading the heat in my classroom today and tomorrow... But it should get me ready for WDW in July!

Anyone have tips on conserving phone battery while in the parks? Do you not worry about your phone or have an extra battery? I have an extra battery but i don't want to worry about switching batteries during the day. I use my phone as a camera too. Trying to think of the best way to keep my phone charged while in the parks. Has anyone tried a charging case? I have an HTC incredible 2.

We carry an external battery that we can plug in to the phone. We also will bring a charging wire with us to the parks and charge if we need to take a break in the baby care center with DD.

Lisatav - I can't help you. I go through the same thing with my phone. Even though I am on vacation, I am still on call. I don't have a personal cell, it's a business cell and my boss makes sure I have extra batteries and a portable rechargeable quick charger. I have to keep my email running at all times during my vacation because I get 150 to 200 emails a day and I have to answer at least 30% of the inbound emails, so it uses up the batteries pretty quick.

My Boss reminds me that even though I am on vacation, he is still paying me so TAKE YOUR PHONE!! That really makes me

Putting your phone on airplane mode helps conserve the battery. I also got a amped charger (one typically used for an Ipad) so my charger will charge faster in the park and got an external charge battery- lipstick charger.

Trick to using a lipstick charger is you can not wait till you battery is dead!

My last day is June 27th and my sister goes until June 28th.
That's what happens when you have 8 snow days!!
It'll be around 100 degrees in some of the classrooms- unbearable!!

I'll be buying lots of popsicles to help keep the kids cool.

A lot of schools in the North East end that late. My sister in HS in NY and it ends that late too. But most don't go back to school until after Labor Day.

Thanks for the suggestions! I think i might go with the lipstick charger. I remember for New Years Eve I charged my phone in the Land Pavilion but I don't want to take too much time out of my touring this time.

The whole district - k - 12. In NJ it isn't uncommon for us to go past the 24th of June. But we don't go back until after September 1.

This is for both Lisatav and Ferrentinos - I understand now... Midori's last day is today (Field Day) and she will go back August 22 for 2 days and then full schedule the following week

To All - This is just an observation. I was on the Disney reservation web site this morning checking the availability of rooms at the Value, Moderates and Deluxe Resorts and 95 % of them have standard rooms still available. The past three years when I checked, Values were all booked and Guest were getting free upgrades to some moderates and deluxe villas.

Unless I am not searching correctly this years seems to be a little light. What about my FAVORITE TOUR GROUPS Where are they this year?

Does anyone have any insight on this?

AND YES!!!! I am at work goofing around on the Dis Board....

Just rebooked my vacation for July 30th for 7 nights. I should be arriving there tomorrow but my work cancelled my leave last week. How much worse are the crowds at this time of the year(never been this late)? We usually try to go in May but due to weather we had to move it.

We have been the 2nd and 3rd weeks of August before and the crowds are minimal. Sometimes we didn't even need FP.

I'm guessing the later you go the better.

We are in school till June 25th. The latest we have gone was July 28th. That was the year with 60 inches of snow. We return to school on August 28th.

We are heading out in 56 sleeps. We are staying 8 nights at POR-R and then 5 nights at AKV-K. This is the first time out trip starts out in July. We typically travel mud August and return the following year beginning of August. Love going in August. A bit worried about July.
