~~*Official July 2013 Thread!*~~Our Month has Arrived!

Only 33 days (32 in a few hours)! We have our "Mickey mail" with luggage tags and DME luggage stickers! Not much to do now but wait!
We, also, are teachers and are out for the year.... last Friday was the last student day.... but we start again on Aug 19th! For us it's 190 days a year but it is nice to be finished.
Nothing left except to pack for July, but on June 22nd we get to make ADRs for our December trip.
We will never again be able to swing two trips in one year so we are trying to enjoy each one to the max!

To All - This is just an observation. I was on the Disney reservation web site this morning checking the availability of rooms at the Value, Moderates and Deluxe Resorts and 95 % of them have standard rooms still available. The past three years when I checked, Values were all booked and Guest were getting free upgrades to some moderates and deluxe villas.

Unless I am not searching correctly this years seems to be a little light. What about my FAVORITE TOUR GROUPS :rotfl2: Where are they this year?

Does anyone have any insight on this?

AND YES!!!! I am at work goofing around on the Dis Board....

Do you think its a marketing thing? Trying to book standard rooms they may not have and then bumping people up when they arrive? I would have to assume that standard views book faster for those traveling on a budget. Just my thoughts.

bought the plane tickets today! HAPPY DANCE!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Anyone else find that flights were way more expensive this time? I always fly United out of Newark and pay usually $250/person round trip. Maybe it's because I got them more last minute but I paid closer to $400/person!! What's going on?? Maybe because they know a lot of people are leaving NJ this summer because the shores still aren't all fixed up from the hurricane?

Your probably correct. I forgot the possibilities of pixiedust: when you go to check in. :lmao:

The prices are a bit higher this year. We fly out of DFW on American every year and this year our tickets were 115.00 more than last year. Also most of the prime flights are already sold out.

I just had to post, going in July staying at the beach club thanks to my brother in law who is a cast member.

I'm so excited!

Congratulations and Welcome to the craziest thread on Dis...:rotfl2: What are your dates? Have you made any ADR's? :woohoo:

We are at 30 days until our trip! I've started my list! I ordered some custom maps and had them shipped to my sister's house, but going to let it be a surprise for her when they arrive.

QOTD: What meal are you most excited to eat on your trip?

This is a hard one for me! I'd probably say Askershus because I know my DS is going to be so excited to see the princesses, but also because it will be our first meal in the World and I'm ready to be there!

I think I am most excited about eating at Narcoossee's with our kids this time. We really love it and they like seafood too so it will be fun to eat with them since the last few times we have eaten there by ourselves.

I wasn't able to get an ADR for BOG but we're going to try it at lunch. Although I am excited, I'm a little nervous about how long we'll have to wait.

I'm also excited about eating at Ohana for dinner. ( My sister will be happy for that since they love it there) We've done the b-fast w Lillo & Stitch a couple of times.

I still can't believe it's June already!!!!! Yay. :)
