~~*Official July 2013 Thread!*~~Our Month has Arrived!

Hello!!

We made it home around midnight last night! Our trip was amazing! We had a lot of tears Friday night at the dessert party, my girls did not want to come home at all! Worse part of the trip, our luggage is still out there in limbo. My plan to jump start on our laundry has been postponed.

It is hard to say goodbye, but it is also nice to come home, home. We loved our trip and had so many magical moments and memories, it is hard to leave behind!

I've spent the last half hour catching up with this thread. My step sister got married yesterday so I've been extremely busy this past week! It looks like everyone in wdw is having a great time. I can't wait to hear about it all! Have fun for those arriving soon. I can't believe how fast this month has as gone!

We have arrived!! Ate lunch and went to DTD and did Disney Quest. Just made it back to the resort before the daily storm! We have a beautiful corner room right in front of a quiet pool! Could not ask for a better room! Love it!

So, yeah, yesterday DH did not find out if he can go on vacation and has to wait until tomorrow. Ugh.

Hello Everyone - On the road back home and stopped in Mobile Alabama for dinner and decided to start our trip report thread. My Co-Pilot drove while I worked on my laptop, stopped for Dinner and the Rest had Wifi.

I forgot Midori has the Hot Spot capabilities on her I-phone so I am loading 3 Be Our guest Videos to be attached to the one already on You Tube. Be finished in about 15 minutes.

We arrived home last night just after midnight.
I'm so sad to leave Disney.
It was a wonderful trip for the 8 of us!
Kidani was relaxing and tranquil- in the few moments we weren't in the parks!
I loved the extra room and extra bathroom!:cool1:

The weather was wonderful- mostly low 80's with occasional downpours- but not too humid. No one got sunburned due to clouds and tons of shade.:):)
Back home (in MA) it was 90's and 100's and VERY humid!!:furious:

NEW Favorites:
Best new favorite- BOG for lunch!pixiedust:
Also loved Wolfgang Puck Express.
LeFou's Brew and cinnamon roll at Gaston's Tavern. YUM!!:stir:
I brought my nephews to the World for their 1st visit and they fell in love with Disney!!pixiedust:pixiedust:
My nephews totally got into pin trading!
And my granddaughters loved it, too! ;)

Dessert party was great on Friday night- but my granddaughters were sad that Tink didn't fly! I told them the rain spoils pixie dust!

Favorite new ride- Expedition Everest.
It was great to meet Bob and Midori and Kirrrby!!:cheer2:
It went by WAY too fast!:sad2::sad2:

Thanks to everyone on this thread for all the tips and for helping me deal with my excitement!

We leave in 11hrs. Can't believe it's that time already.

Have a wonderful time!

Well, we've been here two days, and it has been wonderful so far. Got an amazing villa at OkW, HH area even though we didn't request it. Went to DHS and Epcot yesterday. Now, I'm not sure if many of you have ever been to Disneyland in the summer, but what you all consider crowds and heat was nothing, to us at least. We never waited more than 10 minutes, never felt crowded, got lucky with the rain (it stopped pretty quickly), watched the fireworks at Epcot, home super quick on the buses. At Disneyland you can't get near the fireworks unless you sit for 2 hours. Here, we walked right up minutes before and had a clear view. It was an awesome day. It may have been some pixie dust, or just a different perspective, but Disneyland has virtually no indoor air conditioned lines, so it was nice here!!! So far we love WDW. And thanks for a lot of tips I got from many of you, because we used a lot of ideas. We will see how the next couple of days go...

The day for Disney is here.
So get ready to shout and cheer.
Here is hoping your trip is a blast.
May pixie dust and fun always last.
Disney is waiting for you.
Hope all your dreams come true.

7 days and counting!:banana: Next week at this time, we will be half way to Fl on our flight! The kids are getting so excited! My son is counting down to his actual birthday in Disney, but we plan to celebrate his birthday the whole time we are there. :cool1::banana::banana:

Good Morning Angalee - we got in safely around 3AM. No sleep for me as I unpacked, went to Walmart to buy Groceries and started laundry.

Wow! - I am sitting at my desk wondering why we are not at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I will get back on the thread when I get caught up with my Boss.

I am glad that you got in safely. I can't believe you are working on no sleep. Hope your first day back at work is not too stressful.

Right!!! - Just finished my meeting with my Boss. everything went very well while I was on vacation. My team of 38 did a very good job, as I thought they would.

My Boss is taking the next 2 days off, so I will just play catch up.

***** Angalee******

I am excited for you and your family. Getting ready for your vacation and counting the days, hours and minutes is exciting.

I told the CM's at AKL - with your experience, all of the information you shared and the number of times you have stayed at AKL was the real reason we booked AKL this time. The CM's were very happy to hear how close we all were on the Dis Board and to share our experiences with each other to help all of us with decisions.

Got back at 2:30am on Friday morning. After a wonderful family trip. :)

Some highlights.

DS got to be the Beast in Enchanted Tales with Belle. pixiedust:
And he got to drive the boat on the Jungle Cruise. :drive:
Did an impromptu lunch and Yak and Yeti, and it was our best meal of the trip followed by lunch at Chefs de France with Remy.
Special Independence Day fireworks on Sunday the 7th were quite spectacular. It was if the fireworks surrounded the park. Beautiful.

BLT is a great location. Especially since we love the MK so much.
Weather was awesome. Kids were cooperative.

Worst part is packing up on the last day, loading the car, and having to watch the families just showing up. The week goes by so fast.

Waiting for next year is going to be so tough. :crazy2:

Thanks to everyone for sharing. Hopefully we'll be around for a meet next July.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Yak and Yeti. They waiter kept the fried rice coming from my DD, she was in heaven.

Must say post Disney blues suck!

I discovered Yak and Yeti on my solo trip a couple of years ago and liked it so much, I scheduled an ADR for when DH joined me.

Still no word....I'm dying.

How can I post pictures from my phone??:confused3

If your smartphone is capable you'll have to upload your photos to a photo share web site like Photobucket or Shutterfly.

Then when you are posting on Dis, you'll copy the image link to your post and Dis will communicate with the photo share site and load your pictures.

Someone else my have another way to post pictures but I have only used this way.
