Sorry to hear that Julie. Is that the way it usually works for your DH? Is there a good chance it will still be approved? I hope everything works out after for you.

Usually, we are not cutting it this close. We typically find out a month or so before.

Bob- I read on another thread that The Mara is closed due to a flood on the 4th floor of Jambo house. Hope you guys are dry. Sounds like several people had to have their rooms moved.

The ceiling over the condiment stand caved in and water was every where. Mara was close yesterday afternoon. I am not completely sure what happened, no one is talking. About it. The local Orlando restoration crew of about 20 worked all night and just left and they would not share anything. I was just at the front door of Mara and it is all cleaned up now and a crew is putting in the new ceiling tiles.

I will try to find out more and get back to you.

Just talked to one of the crew chiefs of the clean up crew. A water pipe broke and evrything should be back to normal in a couple of days. The clean up crew said they will be here for a few days. It sounded like maybe 6 families had to move. We are staying in 3210 on the front desk floor right next to the phone, atm room. The flood was on the other side over Mara.

I would say our vacation scored 1000% Today, after brk and checking out, we are going to DTD to do some last minute shopping and then head up the road back home.

To all - already at the World, traveling and scheduled to leave shortly. Have a super vacation. I will touch base as son as we get home. Don't forget, I will do a trip report and post more videos and pictures.

Well we're back home. I miss Disney but I am surely Mickey-d out for the next month or so. We made a trip to Disney's Character Warehouse during our trip. It was definitely worth it, even with the hassle of parking. We went to the one at the Orlando Premium Outlets closest to Disney. I stocked up on Christmas presents for family.

Also, to those going to WDW this next week, PLEASE be careful. The temps are supposed to be mid 90's with lots of rain showers. It's supposed to feel like 100 degrees most days. Drink lots of water, stay in the shade and air conditioner if you can. Counter services still give free water too.
