Just realized I'm just over 2 weeks away from our trip. We really need to pull out those suitcases and start packing!

We are excited here in NY. Arriving July 28-Aug 5. POR.
Recently (June 7), my DD15 was very sick and hospitalized @ Maria Fereri Childrens Hospital for a week. We found out she is Type 1 Diabetic. So, this puts a new spin on our trip. We will be taking it slow, but still plan on having a magical time. Everyday gets a little better and a little bit easier.
Looking forward to possibly running into some Dis'ers.![]()
Hello - We will also be at POFQ from July 14th through July 22nd. We've been packed since the beginning of May.

We may see you there. We get in early on the 13th and leave late afternoon on the 24th. It will be our first time at POFQ.
DD and I just bought her a carry on duffel on wheels so we couldn't start her packing yet. And DH needs to pull the big luggage out of the corner of the laundry room. He forgets that I'm short and can't reach those "hiding spots".
We need to wash all the new shorts I had to buy since we have both lost weight since last trip (he lost 70 pounds in a year to help with his new hip & knee). Although it comes down to the fact we are procrastinators who will probably finish up as we are walking out the door.![]()
We're in Siesta Key now before heading to Disney on Saturday. Hopefully the Tropical Storm will be out of the area soon. It's pretty bad right now. The wind is the worst!
My daughter was diagnosed on 7-8-2010 at the age of 5. She's had it for 2 years (infact we'll have her 2-year "D-versary" while were there), but this will also be our first trip since. It's actually the first time we'll be traveling outside a 70ish mile radius since she was diagnosed.
I'm not sure what it's like having a teenager with it, much less have a teenager diagnosed. I would imagine getting on a pump would be so much less stress for you and her, we've been pumping just about a year and a half and it's AMAZING. Yes there are days I'd love to throw the thing out and go back to shots, but the good MAJORLY outweighs the bad and it gives my daughter (now 7) so much more freedom than shots.
It gets easier, I promise.

Me too! Me too! We'll be staying at FQ for the first time coming in Weds the 18th. I have a custom Dory (Nemo) backpack with a LGMH. If you see me....I hope you'll come say "hi"!
WELL !!!! You finally got back on the Dis board.. I sent you a note to see if you wanted to go half and half on the delivery fee and order groceries online for our stay at POFQ, but I had to pre-order already. Keep intouch, if you want my cell phone # so you can contact me and meet up to say Hi, I can P.M. you. Let me know...![]()
I'm sorry...I am on DIS every single day multiple times (yeah, I am bored at work). I never got a PM from youBut I probably would've said no anyway. I just really really love to eat out...that is part of my vacation, so I am totally against eating in the room. But thanks for thinking of me.
Don't know what happened with the PM thing. I've been following along with this thread as well as a few others. You can always find me on my PTR (link below) and check out my new custom backpack made by a fellow DISer. Sorry about that...I hope you didn't think I was ignoring you! I would never do that!
Thanks for the reply, I just order Bottled Water, Gatorade for my DD 12, Chocolate Chip Cookies. I will P.M. my phone # to you. We always take a break from the parks from 2:30 PM until 7:00 PM and go back for E.H.
They do have longer hours and 2 showings of MSEP listed on the website. I think they just updated the July hours in the last week or so.
We will definitely see you around then because that is our plan too. We have PH passes so we can fully utilize the EMHs both morning and evening.
Can someone tell me why they have longer hours and two showings of Main Street Electric Parade in June, but not in July?? I'm really bummed about that. I thought that went all summer. Doesn't make sense that when crowd levels are the highest they cut hours and shows![]()
Thanks for that link. I have been religiously checking AllEars and they still show MK closing at 10 and only one parade at 9. Weird.Well this is much better news! Thanks so much
