My family and I don't usually go in the summer, but i made my mother promise me that when I turn 16, she will take me to disney world on my birthday. And so, my birthday happens to be on July 1stwhich is extremely hot and the most expensive time of the year cant wait to go though!!!!

I am usually packed and ready to go (besides toiletries) a month ahead, but we usually travel in the winter when we don't need our "summer clothes". This time I am really stressing out because I am wearing all the stuff I need to pack, so I will be doing a mad dash the night before our trip to get everything washed, dried and packed

Last day of school with kids was today. One more professional day tomorrow for grades and I am done for the summer. Yay!

Hello - Don't feel alone. I started packing in March and our trip is not until July 14th

I started to gather things back in March for my disney box, I get excite when the luggage is brought out.

Well started my new job yesterday and met with my manager today and he said right off the bat: you have a vacation in July sometime don't you? I said yes and that I realized it was without pay. So glad he remembered!!! During HR's orientation I became concerned, but was assured things are fine. WHAT A GREAT COMPANY TO WORK FOR!!!

I can't wait for DISNEY!!!

Thanks so much! That just made getting up to do the last day a little easier. I just have to clean my room, finish entering my last two classes of grades, meet with my principal about next year, and I am done at 1:00 pm. Can't wait to pick up the kids and go to the pool.

I was surprised there was availability with about a month to go.

Last night, I went online to see if we could do some ADR changing for our first night (July 11) and found there was availabilty at just about any restaurant, including some of the restaurants (O'Hana, etc) that usually require a lot of advance planning to get into.

I checked almost all of our dates for CRT, and found MANY openings per day.

I think a lot of it has to do with the credit card guarantees. I think a lot less people are not willing to risk being charged if they miss their reservations. OR no one is really going in July and there will be no crowds at all. That is some serious wishful thinking huh?

VERY wishful thinking I was surprised to see several coveted 8:05 and 8:20 openings, though.

This is a good point about the credit card guarantees, but I choose to believe we will be only ones going in July!

We would not have to worry about EMH, because we would be burned out by 2PM riding all the rides over and over.

I for one am happy about the credit card guarantee (if that is why there is availiablity now). I know when we went on off season and Disney was offering the Dining plan a ressie could not be had! Then when I went by the restaurant to see if we could get in they were not busy, in fact had many open tables, and since people had "reservations" we could not get in.

I am more than happy to place my CC on a reservation that I want to go to and will make sure we are there. Seems like Disney finally caught on with DDP.

YAY! During the school year when I get home with my kids (I drive them and pick them up - no bus services here) whoever yells "IM GETTING THE MAIL" and gets their tooshie out of the car fastest grabs the mail. When I was waiting for Mickey mail I would yell it as soon as my front tires would roll onto the driveway.
