Yes, we chose Canada Day to get married because I knew I'd remember it - I'm terrible with dates!!! Have a great time in Quebec - it's my home and I miss it - have some poutine for me!

Okay...for those of us leaving tomorrow (or in the next few days) can we please just look at this forecast?!?!?! Aside from the scattered storms, which are to be expected, the high temps are WAY below what I thought they would be. 85 on Fri! 86 on Sat and Sun!!! Unbelievable!

we chose it because originally i thought no one would or did choose that date with anyone we knew then turned out that it was dh's aunt and uncle's anniversary LOL he didn't even know it because they live in the states and who really talks about it

another reason we chose it was that we would never have to work on it but guess where dh is right now - work HAHAHA he's a chef and gets tomorrow off instead of today - oh well

then we picked it because we thought we would always see fireworks to celebrate but 6 years in and we've never gone to see them once

we also thought no one would forget our anniversary but in reality no one remembers LOL that's ok

Well, happpy anniversary to all, Happy Canada Day, and happy first day of July! I can't believe it's July already. I want my trip to Disney to come, but at the same time, I don't want to wish away the summer for it to get here. My kids at school this year were not so great and I want a nice break before I have to go back for another round. (the kids are supposed to be much better though). Today I am cleaning up the mess we made from little projects we wanted to do around the house...my FIL came to help and although he does a great job fixing things...he sure makes a mess!!

I've been reading this thread a couple of pages at a time for the last month, and just decided to join it! Great thread by the way, I learned a lot.

We will be at POR from July 26 to August 4. Please give me your opinion on my ADRs (I need to know I did'nt make too many mistakes):

I can comment on Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey, have eaten at both many times and I really love them. The atmosphere is fun, the characters are great and the food is pretty yummy!

Checked this thread at about 8p.m. on Monday night, worked yesterday and get on this morning and what do I find but 6 pages of posts to read!!!

Pre trip traditions-get some new pins, clean the house, pack.

This time in two weeks, I be at work trying the keep my eyes open(because of working until 11:30 p.m. and back at 6:30 a.m. trying to care for my laboring patient while trying not to be going over the planning in my head for the trip I leave on the next morning.

I just got some new pins last night! Darn ebay! Our pre trip tadition is to head to Cabela's to get some beef jerky for the plane and the week. Perfect late night snack after a long day at the parks!

Glad it went well--good news on ice cream! Hope it feels better quickly. And to single digits!

I'm at <3 days and am in the stage of not knowing what to do first. I really wish I could pack, but I have to wait for the kids to come home and get their shorts & stuff washed. I can't pack just Dh and I because they have the 2 carry-on bags and I split the rest of our stuff up between 2 large bags. That way, if a bag gets lost, we each still have something to wear.
I can't really clean yet because it won't last. So here I am!

I'm at the same stage! i set aside tuesday for packing and i cant really start till then so im just kind of limbo!

I completely forgot about the mail until I was in line at the post office this afternoon. You can do it online.

I am starting to feel that PRE trip stress just a bit....starting to make my list. I also am one that wants my house all cleaned before we go.... so the stress is just started to show up on the horizon. My dd was like "MOM we still have 11 days" LOL

I've been feeling that stress for a week now! My coworkers keep telling me to relax i'm going on vacation! They don't understand haha!

I use weather.com because they have the 10-day forecast. (As I'm sure others do, but I have this one bookmarked and have the app. on my phone) I don't know how accurate they are--you always have to assume they can be off.

can someone fast forward the clock to 5 pm tomorrow???? Just pause it long enough for the mani and pedi this afternoon.... That's my DD and my tradition. The nails need to look good. DD is 5 and can sit better through the pedi than I can...I squirm because I am so ticklish.
