*OFFICIAL* July 2010 Thread! It’s Hot. It’s Crowded. AND WE LOVE IT!

I just changed my dates to July 24 to July 30th. We decided to do 6 nights instead of 7 to save some money. I'm still working on changing our ADR's. I think we are eating at Liberty tree tavern instead of teppan edo. Has anyone here ever had lunch at LTT? I think it looks pretty good and the prices are reasonable. I also think we might have lunch at Le Chefs one day, but Im not going to make reservations for that yet.
Also we decided not to go to universal for HP We think its going to be too crowded and it is alot more money than we thought it would be. Im a little disappointed but I rather go when its not as crowded and wont feel as rushed.

Aaaaaaannd I might have celebrated too soon on the Wishes cruise. DH called to talk about it today. They want $718! Plus a tip for the driver. Wow--that's just so much, I would feel guilty about that. This is for the Celebration cruise--it includes the Wishes music and 'snacks' and a ~1 hour cruise around Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon. Way too much money, IMO.

ETA: I know it won't be Wishes in July, but for lack off a better term....

Seriously?!? At that price I'd need a VERY large group of people to go with me.

I've always wondered how much those boat trips are ... now I know I sadly will never be able to go.

Now maybe if it was for a 3 hours cruise, with a full meal ...

We've had lunch at both LTT and Chefs. We really enjoyed the tavern fried cheese and dessert at LTT. I got a hamburger which was delicious and Tom got a roast beef sandwich which he thought was good. We probably won't eat there again but it was nice to try. We really enjoyed Chefs and made another ADR for this trip. We both ordered off the prefixed menu and it was a great deal. We had ADRs for both but both restaurants were pretty much empty when we had lunch so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Yeah, we have the same reasoning for HP. Next time...

I don't understand why it's that expensive. We booked a Wishes cruise for our trip and it's HALF that much! I don't think we got the snacks but we got the audio! And it's fits 10 people.

Ok - I have fixed your dates on page 29. We really liked LTT for lunch too. We have tried the pot roast, the pasta, and the tri corner sandwich - all were good, and very filling. I liked the atmosphere in there too - relaxing.

I know how you feel about HP - but I figure by the time we go next year or so, all the attractions should be up and running and they will have worked out any "bugs". Plus, maybe the crowds will have died down.

I have you on the list on page 29 for a split stay at FW then offsite - is that correct? There are several other people off site too, so if you want to list where you are staying that is fine.

We got a reply back from IPO. It's just because of the date--July 4--a premium date . It's just plain crazy. We talked about changing dates to the 3rd, but it just wouldn't be the same. Who knows what will happen now. Looks like I'll be in MK

We booked ADRs for Chef Mickey's for dinner on our first night, Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast on my birthday and also Cape May for dinner that day, and Hoop-Dee-Doo review for the 25th for supper! Those were the ones we were most worried about not getting ressies for, but we did! VERY excited!

Only the 4 of us. DH is dead set against sharing with anyone, too. He hasn't cancelled yet, but I just can't see spending that kind of cash.

chippydale--I'd love to see a trip report. My next-next July trip is going to be over our anniversary--July 20th. I've been in early-mid July, but never later in the month.
