- Okay I need to STOP changing my ADRs!!! I dumped Chef Mickey on the 13th for Whispering Canyon Cafe at 5:30. Then I added LeCellier at 2:40 for lunch on the 16th which I guess I was lucky to get - I hope I can get dinner at that time. And for the biggest news I was able to get the wishes dessert buffet on the 16th too at 9p. I figure after eating at LC at 2:40 we may not be hungry until 9 - so dessert for dinner! What a way to wrap up our trip!! I have not told the kids yet about Wishes - it will be a suprise!! OMG only 10 days to go - I have not packed a thing!
On a sad note, I have not been on the board recently, I very very very unexpectedly lost my mom on the 14th.I am in such a funk/depression, etc. I hope I can enjoy Disney. I feel bad going, but I am sure she would want me to take the kids.... Sorry to be a downer on what should be such a happy time.
I need to get busy packing this weekend too.
I think we are going to end up with
an ice chest
toiletry bag
large suitcase
2 small suitcases
large plastic bin
duffle for shoes
large book bag - (for reading material during the drive and maps)
box of snacks
yikes I feel like I'm moving - I hope it all fits in the expedition
maybe my DH was right when he said it wasn't all going to fit
I hate it when he's right![]()
It's almost time! Work is getting tougher to deal with as I get closer to the day we're leaving, only 2 more working days to go!
They're Disney Pirates of the Caribbean Crocs. Does that make it better (or worse)???
This is all I could find on short notice:

Look, I'm smoking a cigar and drinking beer. That sort of negates the Crocs, right?Right?????????????????
Ok... maybe... just maybe.. I'm taking too much stuff. (you don't even want to know how many moving trucks it took to get us INTO this house) We've got 4 Costco Skyway rolling divided duffle suitcases, plus a Mary Poppins bag. Disney overnight bag, LLBean Hammock with frame. I will executively remove the folding picnic table from the list since only me and the 2 kids will fit at it. I'm bringing the drying rack again, 3 laptops (mine, DH's and DD21's), 1 lap desk, 1 large cooler and 1 playmate cooler for picnics by the pool, large thermos, stroller, sleeping bag for DD7 (its Hannah Montana), I'll executively remove the inflatable toddler bed, I usually have 3 Disney and 1 DVC boat tote bags filled with toys and accessories, I have so far, 4 paper grocery bags and 1 case of sun chips. 2 folding chairs, gotta bring a case of water, my clipboard opens to hold maps, directions, confirmation papers and a pocket knife. I'm bringing the crock pot, snow cone maker and ice tea maker, (removed the blender), oh.. and I have a large nylon grocery bag from Market Day that I fill and I have my old Tupperware kit bag that I fill with any linens such as beach towels, neat sheet and table cloth for picnic table. I'll bring ziploc storage containers for leftovers, paper goods etc.. but those all should fit in the canvas totes. Did I forget anything?
Remember.. I'll be the mini-van with the Thule on top![]()

The first time that we took the kids, my mother also came with us. We went in our Expedition and still had plenty of room! Three adults and three kids plus all of our suitcases, snacks, three car seats, diapers, toiletries, etc. I guess it all comes down to good packing! :thumbsup
Great! Thanks for the vote of confidence![]()

I'm getting into panic mode now! Help! I haven't started packing anything and I don't even know where to start or what I still need to buy. I'm usually pretty much ready at this point, but I've had overseas visitors for the past two weeks. They left on Sunday, which put me here![]()
I have never been this far behind on planning. I think going in the summer for the first time is really throwing me for a loop. I just can't get motivated.
Hey Everyone:
Just a quick question..
I'm starting to get my things in order for my trip and I was wondering a few things:
Does Disney have any restrictions on what you are able to bring into their parks?
Is there an extensive bag screening when entering the parks?
Are there lockers in the parks to keep your belongings when on the rides?
Sorry for all the questions.. This sounds so silly but Im getting nervous.. hahah
If anyone knows the answers to any of my questions or where I can go to do my research I would be most appreciative!!!
We leave in less than 2 days and I have thrown my hip out.
I have been having problems with bursitis in my left hip for a few years. For the past 6 months or so it has been feeling great and not bothering me at all.
It has been acting up a little for the past few days. I think from the swimming and water aerobics I have been doing to get in shape for the trip. Walking down some stairs today, I took a step and my left leg almost collapsed and I had a shooting pain. Now it feels like it will collapse after about every 4 or 5 steps.
The worst thing is, my chiropractor is on vacation, and the lady that answers the phone informed me that "No, he does not have anyone on call covering for him, you will have to come in on Monday." Monday?? I will be at WDW on Monday! I checked with my regular doctor and he wants me to come in the morning and take some x-rays.
Hopefully he will be able to do something for me, besides tell me to "rest and take it easy for the next 10 days."
Anybody know how much it costs to rent one of those electric wheelchairs??
Good thing we do not have too much stuff planned, and my sister has no problem if we don't even make it into the parks every day!
