Is it super annoying at table service to ask for Room Charge? Now with the need to get to $2k on your room folio, that seems like something more people will ask about. I've used MagicBand and room charge everywhere but table service because that seemed harder than just giving the server a credit card, but now...

I've always just had them scan my magic band for a room charge unless it was someplace I was getting the 10% discount with my Disney Premier. I'm DVC so doubt I would hit the 2K resort folio charge but the next trip is 12 days long so between food and merch it may happen.

Do Disney cards typically have good sign-up bonuses? I’m trying to decide if I should get this card or wait. Although we’re going on a cruise this September I’ve already got it paid off with gift cards I’ve bought, but I do need to buy four Halloween tickets and two nights at all stars. I currently already have free Disney+ with Kroger boost membership until end of the year. We probably will do another Disney trip but not until end of 27 or beginning of 28.

Yeah we'll be DVC going forward now so trying to strategize how to get to $2k folio charges. By my calculations maybe after two trips in a year of really pushing everything possible to room charges we can be close. Wish dues or LL would count but seems they won't.

Not at all.

IMO it’s no different than using a credit card. Just tell the server you’re charging to your magic band. Instead of running a card, they bring a hand held device & scan your band, you put in your PIN. Not hard at all.

I don’t even say anything, I just put my magic band on the table!

You can’t charge gift cards to your room. Have to pay cash or with a credit card.

I agree, I doubt I'll get to $2K in folio charges. It's just my husband and I traveling and even with 3 trips planned in 2026, we just don't eat 2,000 in food. I get a couple items of merch, but not enough to put it over $2K. My only hope in hitting that would be if dues also counted.

Yes, I can confirm unequivocally that that is true. My 0% promo rate on over $50k expired on the last day of my statement in mid-January. After the statement closed, my Interest Savings Balance included the amount remaining in that promo balance plus any new purchases. I paid that entire amount on my due date in mid-February and was not charged any interest or fees whatsoever.

I've been shortchanging myself 30 days of interest for years. Thank you for this!

For those of you who got the $100 credit for $200 in Lightning Lane purchases, did you spend at least $200 in a single transaction?…or could you purchase multiple days of lightning lanes separately totaling at least $200 and still earn the $100 credit? Thanks!
