Yet, I am getting some anxiety, and becoming a party pooper. "It's going to be hot, everyone will get grumpy, it'll probably rain, and we'll all catch some kind of virus." WHAT IN THE WORLD IS WRONG WITH ME??????:confused3

Nothing is wrong with you! It's just one of the phases of trip planning. It comes after getting mickey mail and before cleaning out the trunk. ;)

I have those dreams all the time! Throw in a wedding the day before vacation and the dreams are even worse!! Actually, I'm surprised that I've only had one or two of those dreams so far. I expect them to increase drastically over the next three weeks....

I totally get that.....I just got all my loose ends done today.....now its just a waiting game and hope someone doesnt RSVP last minute...we are set at 94...no more please! :scared1: I have 13 days till the ceremony....:scared1:We will get through it Nikki we have to.....The Mouse is waiting for us...

Belgium is a tiny little country with 3 official languages: Dutch, French and German. About 6 million ppl speak Dutch, 4 million speak French and less than 100,000 ppl speak German. It gets pretty complicated! We have 4(!) governments and just about all political issues come down to the language thing...

4 Governments? Heck we can't get anything accomplished here with just 1 - so having 4 trying to figure something out has t be a nightmare:scared1: Thanks for the very interesting facts on Belguim.

I leave in 20 days. I started packing last week. I think I will be packing and repacking until we arrive. This is our first vacation together, so I am somewhere between overpacking and praying I have enough. :laundy:

I've been packing and repacking for 6 weeks - (Am I obsessed?) -
Today my DH looks at the pile and announces that he doesn't think that's all gonna fit in the expedition WHAT?:scared1:

I decided on beach room though - we're going to be staying at the Doubletree on Redington beach. Great reviews and I got a great price on hotels.com. So that's paid for now. :cool1:

i had another one of those crazy "arrived at WDW and didn't have anything I needed with me" dreams last night...it was awful! In my dream, my BIL and SIL showed up, along with my sister and her DH, and joined our trip and BIL refused to follow "the plan" (yes, I' a bit OCD about my touring plans) and a bunch of our group decided to go with them and blow off what my parents wanted to do...and so we decided to go back to the hotel and regroup and I realized I had left my UOG, trip planning book (that I carry in the parks), and list of ADRs at home. It was aful.

I used to have these dreams before big Speech competitions in college. I finally just told myself everything was going wrong in my dream so I'd "get it over with" and it WOULDN'T happen on the day of the event.

I totally feel ya' on the trip planning. I've been doing it for our group of 10 (which includes my MIL, FIL, and SIL). I love them like crazy, but they are VERY different than how I'm used to planning things! When I grew up a party was planned for 2:00 pm, and y'all got there at/by 2:00pm but NOT too early (maybe 15 mins early). They are NOT planners and it's more "hey we're having a barbecue this evening y'all come on over!" and there is NO set time. When dating my husband it took me a while not to be panicking that we were late to one of his family functions- I finally came to accept there WAS no "late!" But anyhoo I think it's been a bit of a shock to them to see that we've had to make ADR's 90 days in advance, which means you've gotta plan which park you'll be at for at least part of that day, and then trying to figure out Pirate League, BBB and Cirque on top of all that. Bless 'em though, even though I think they're convinced I'm crazy they're all goin along with it with a smile!

I'm glad you enjoyed the info on our messy little country ;).

The Doubletree also looks nice indeed... We (well... I, as I'm the one and only mastermind behind every planning aspect of this 3-week trip - the other two just leave it all up to me) haven't decided yet which one it'll be because I can't seem to figure out when exactly we'll leave Orlando and start our trip down South. On the one hand there's plenty of things we wanna see outside of Orlando, but it's hard to set a date for our last day there, because it seems so final!

On a somewhat different note: in 90 hours our flight from Brussels to London is boarding! I started counting in hours rather than days yesterday, which resulted in not being able to sleep because there's so much left to do. *sigh*

Of course she does! What is going on lately? I know that I am getting older (I'm only 38), but I don't think it's because of age. :confused3 It just seems that bad things come in groups. Let's just hope that the month of July at WDW is filled with wonderful, treasured moments, fall-like temperatures, little rain, and small crowds! :rolleyes1 One can wish, right?!? ;)

Hey, if it can happen anywhere, its WDW, right? If dreams are a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep, and WDW is where dreams come true, then you and I need to start sleeping more to get those dreams!

20 Days for us....:cool1: getting the car tuned up this weekend and programmed all of our stops and auto train station into our GPS...my wife should be just about done packing by Saturday, so things are falling into place nicely...

Belgium is a beautiful country. I was only 16 when I lived them but the people were kind and it was an awesome place. I never did learn to speak anything but english but would love to return to see it again one day. So how many hours now?

Gotta get ready for work only one week left. Lois

Amen to that

Gosh you are getting close - I understand having so much to do, I too and the only planner - I'll be thinking postive planning and packing thoughts for you.:wizard:

I woke up this morning with cold symptoms...my sister who was visiting until last weekend and her DH came down with the flu two days after they left here, so I'm really hoping we don't get it...but I hate summer colds and I really don't need a summer cold right before Disney. I've already told my family -- no one is allowed to be sick on vacation this year! LOL And my DD14 had her wisdom teeth pulled two weeks ago and ended up with a slight infection...so she's back on antibiotics and hopefully that will take care of it -- otherwise, she'll have to have another procedure five days before we leave for Disney. Nope, no way -- not gonna happen! LOL I told her that she'd better take her antibiotics and do her salt water gargles religiously this week while she's away at church youth conference!!!

Send get well vibes, please!

You got them! This is one of my biggest concerns as well. It is no fun to be sick on vacation. Lois

well, everyone in my family has had the flu just a few weeks ago - heck, everyone in the state of MA has the flu it seems - yes, THAT flu. So I hope we're just a little bit covered.

I'm in the single digits today and I had my first disney dream last night. We arrived at a park at 11am (gasp) and the lines were really long. My family wanted to go on a "charlie brown" ride :confused3 and so we waited for a really long time. Then I couldn't fit into a seat (I think I'm having some weight anxiety LOL) I kept telling everyone that if we had just not gone for breakfast we would have gotten to the park early enough to skip the lines. No one was listening to me and I was getting frustrated. I asked one of my brothers to run to get us fast passes for splash mountain and he wouldn't go. And then we got lost between this charlie brown ride and pirate of the Caribbean.

oh it was a nightmare.

Than you for reminding me!
We are at 9 days!!!! Single Digits!!
We are so very close and I have to work!! Lois

Any possibity I can join the party? We have Ressies for All Star Music on 7/8/09 til 7/17/09. My Grand daughter will be having her 13th birthday at WDW. She will turn 13 on 7/10/09 and her brother will be 15 at the trip. We are all very exited about our trip but kinda sad that we are not going to visit the magic this trip.

As far as dining we enjoy Liberty Tree, Cystal Palace, Yet & Yeti, Garden Grill, Mama Melrose, Hollywood and Vine and others. It is very hard to make those final decisions. I do not believe that we will take part in the dining plan this trip as I want to eat eariler in the day. We can share meals as there is way too much food. On the other hand the DDP makes it so easy. Thank God I have several week left before I have to make those ressies.

I am celebrating my birthday on 7/10/09 at the world as well... I am also celebrating my wedding as well this trip... I have never been there on my birthday.... i am having dinner at the castle on my birthday.... i am so excited... so happy to have someone celebrating with me :)

I also found a hidden mickey at my brother's yesterday ...it was in a vase of twiggy thingys....
