Oh totally!!

So I finally, finally, finally got my ME vouchers and luggage tags!!! I'm so excited. I called again last week and they had originally mailed them 6/2. I never received them, so they sent out another set. I don't feel so left out now

Oh good! Now you are all set!

Thought I'd give you guys a hint to find me. If you see a girl that looks like me, but speaks French....yep, it's me! lol

Really? Do you speak French regulary? Like when you're teaching and stuff? When you speak English, do you have a French accent? I'm so intrigued!!

Yup I speak French every day. It's my first language. And I do teach in French. I have taught in English schools to. Both in French and in English. As for an accent, it all depends on the day and what language I'm thinking in hehehe Some of my "English" friends say there are days when you can't guess I'M French. Then there are days where my ex was like :Stop it French girl! lol

Just phoned wdw-dine to confirm all my dining reservations!

bit of a panic to start with.. read out the first ADR # ... CM says "nope i don't have that... "

.. gave her the time,date,restaurant & surname... and she found it no problem.. i had the last digit wrong !

just doing some printing at the moment! i bought some colored files, going to give one to each room - filled with info like ADR times, the 'rough guide' of what we can do day-by-day, useful telephone numbers, and some disney quiz questions!

How is Canadian French different? I suppose we do have the "France" accent here, although some word choices make it clear that you're from Belgium instead of France. Do you say quatre-vingt-dix or nonante?

I ALWAYS feel like the French girls at the outside cart I buy champagne from are talking smack about me!! But the man inside the store was very friendly to Tom when he asked if could could buy champagne. His response, in my best Lumiere impression was, "Of course you can!"

Hate to bring the board down.. but another celebrity has died. Floridian and Oxyclean pitchman Billy Mays has died suddenly at age 50!! His wife found him unresponsive this morning! How tragic!! People magazine had recently within the last few months done a spread on his family and him. to his wife and family. RIP Billy Mays.

I didn't realize they spoke Dutch in Belgium! Silly me... for some reason I thought they spoke German and French. I like to order my meal in German in the Germany pavillion. DS17 took a few years of German and so did DH and I. However, in my household growing up... Yiddish was often spoken. Yiddish is really a dialect of German with a bunch of different word choices and expressions. Sometimes I can't tell the difference because in my mind they're the same. I have to ask DS if he's familiar or not to know. My grandparents spoke Yiddish and on my mom's side, I think it was my grandfather's first language. He came from Russia in 1908.

... here's a funny story and a cautionary tale for any gossiper in any language. When I was in Jr. High, a bunch of Korean girls were in front of me walking into the school.... they were having a conversation in their language (that I don't speak) discussing the fat thighs of some other girls. For some reason, (telepathic moment), I knew exactly what they were saying and I chimed into the conversation..... they were so shocked... and embarrassed... to say the least. I bet they never gossiped again... at least within earshot of anyone else.
