OFFICIAL JULY 2009 THREAD!!! The wait is on!!!

Is anyone celebrating a birthday but not on the exact date? My DD's 7th birthday is July 1st, but because of her ballet recital the Saturday before, we couldn't make our Disney trip til the 12th. We're actually leaving on the 11th, driving the 889 miles from Northern Virginia, and arriving fresh on the 12th. We'll be celebrating her birthday because she really wanted to be at Disney for her birthday, even though it'll be 2 weeks later. I haven't looked into a cake yet. I'll have to work on that.

Is anyone celebrating a birthday but not on the exact date? My DD's 7th birthday is July 1st, but because of her ballet recital the Saturday before, we couldn't make our Disney trip til the 12th. We're actually leaving on the 11th, driving the 889 miles from Northern Virginia, and arriving fresh on the 12th. We'll be celebrating her birthday because she really wanted to be at Disney for her birthday, even though it'll be 2 weeks later. I haven't looked into a cake yet. I'll have to work on that.

This trip is both the Christmas and birthday gifts for both my grandkids. Austin's birthday was this past November (15) and Beth's brithday (13) just happened to fall during our visit. So I guess we are doing both. I don't have any major plans outside of giving both kids money to spend while at the park and makeing sure that the CM know that this is a birthday trip for both kids.

Just wanted to share -- my younger DD's birthday was yesterday and one of her gifts was a BBB appointment. I found a cute invitation on the Creative DISigns (?) board and personalized it for her -- she squealed and jumped up and down when she opened it!

She is so excited!

I love seeing how excited my kids are about this trip -- even the teenager!

That's exactly what happens when I try a ponytail. Just a big frizz ball at the back of my head. I am seriously considering finding an someone who can corn-row my hair! I wonder what that style would look like? Straightening is so time consuming. In the 70's I often went for the Bo Derrek look, but back then my hair was all one length. Its much more layered now. I dont' know if that would work.

I'm not sure but I think they may do this at the CBR. It's worth checking in to.

Thanks! I did read on another thread that Costco will deliver to the resorts within 2 days of the order...so, I think I will go that route for two cases of water at only $6 each which includes the shipping! We'll be on the QSDP so we'll have plenty of snacks throughout the week!

I am ready NOW! We are excited about this upcoming trip/ We have ressies at Chef Mickey's (first time)and I know our little girl is going to be so excited.
Also my sister & brother-in-law(BIL) are going be at WDW the same week.
I never did WDW with my sister before.
We are goig to the Hoop dee doo review on Jim's (BIL)bday that will be a hoot.
Also a breakfast ressie at O'Hana's for the first time.
We are looking forward to a magical retreat at Vero too. Did I mention that we are excited.

Oh, you're going to have so much fun with your sister. I have been with my sister twice (as adults). The first time it was the two of us with her son and my youngest DD. We stayed at the Pop and were on the meal plan. We had a blast. Only had 4 days so we skipped AK and HS. The second time we had all 3 of my kids, my husband and her husband. It was for Thanksgiving 2007. We did our Thanksgiving me at Whispering Canyon. It was great, but we also did the Aloha Dinner Show luau at Polynesian. We had a great time. My family also loves the breakfast at Ohana. We did that several times. This time we're doing our Character Breakfast at Cape May at the Beach Club. That's new for us. I haven't done Hoop De Doo because the menu isn't the kind of food I eat. But my cousin took her family and they had a blast.

Oh... !! I'm so sorry. I didn't notice. My reservation at Sanaa is for 6:30-pm. I'm very excited about it. I've looked at all the photos of the restaurant and at the menu. We're not taking the kids because there isn't any typical kid food on the menu. We figured they'd be happier if my 17 yr. old DS takes them to DTD to the Earl of Sandwhich or something.
