I'm sorry to hear that you are having a bad week as well. My husband also had surgery in March. He broke his ankle skiing - in eleven places! He has been on crutches ever since. He goes back to the doctor in two weeks and we are hoping that he will be walking by July for our trip. His ankle isn't healing as fast as it should, due to a previous injury, and he may have to have another surgery.

The Maytag repairman came today and couldn't fix my brand new washer that I only got one load out of. They come back on Thursday with more parts.

OMG!! Whatever ride we're on... we're on it together. I just got another $500 bill from the anesthesiologist today. Funny you mention the Maytag repairman. Last week our fridge went on the fritz. Found out there was a recall (that could be the problem), so the Maytag repairman came, repaired the recall, left.... fridge still didn't get down to temp. so he came back again. It took a couple of days to get our fridge working again (fingers crossed). We didn't have to buy a new one yet!

Hope your DH's ankle heals asap! If not, don't forget that you can do scooter rentals in every park. That' would be better than hobbling around on crutches at Disney. Too much walking for that.

Its time for us to have some good luck!! Now where is that money tree in my yard that Lois mentioned! Its getting plenty of water this week!

You're going to love the Spirit of Aloha. We did that one. I though the San Angel Inn was under renovation for our July trip? I'll have to double check that because I don't remember where I read it. I thought it might be on the allears.net site. We also loved Marrakesh. We once had leftover credits for dining. We ended up buying all sorts of baked goods and treats in the eatery at the Pop on the morning before we left. Worked out well! I found some yummy brownies.

I have to disagree about the Spirit of Aloha. The food was great but the show was awful!! It was also day 3 of the trip and our "go go go" attitude had just about caught up to us by that night so the exhaustion most likely was a big factor in our interest level.

I have been to Aloha before....LOVED IT!!! My DS loves the fire dancers, and the girls hula dancing..... the kid is 10 now and was 6 at the time, he doesn't need to know what girls are pretty yet..... yes my Ashton is girl crazy...I have to keep telling him that Miley will not be walking around when we are there...that she has other things to do...lol


As far as the San Angel Inn goes, I had made ressies the week before Allears said they were refurbing it. When I called that day the CM said that they weren't going to end up doing it...I was all prepared to switch it for something else but it turns out I didn't need to.

Hello, Janet and I leave first thing in the morning to head out for the funeral. I put the whole trip into mapquest and we will be in the car for almost 27 hours over the four days. Again Thank you for the prayers. My Mother-in-law passed peacefully this morning. The wake is Thursday and the burial is either Friday or Saturday- 5 hours from where she lived. It is going to be a very long week.

I am very glad that I worked all weekend. So I will not be as far behind when I return. Lois

Sending you more hugs Lois. I hope that some day I have a daughter-in-law as special as you are!!! My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Please travel safe and we will "see" you when you get back. I sure wish my trip was in July so that I could meet up with you at the World!! Maybe you will need a re-do trip in October when I'm going ??

Everything except Le Cellier and Ohana will be new to us - we decided to branch out this trip!! The POP is also new to us - we've stayed at All Star Sports and Port Orleans French Quarter. The budget allowed for a longer trip if we stayed at a value and my boys chose POP. Just a few more weeks...

I hope when you are at the funeral, you will feel the arms of all of us July Dis'ers wrapped around you in support. You are truely a special daughter in law and Jean was clearly very special to you. You will miss her, but she will be with you always. I know her spririt will be happily tagging along to Disney.

I noticed that you have an ADR at 2:30pm at Yak and Yeti. We too had an ADR at that time. It worked out perfectly. First off, the food is terrific. My dessert (I had the wonton k'bobs with vanilla sauce) was very yummy AND when we were being served dessert, the Jamin Jungle Parade began. We could see it, but unfortunately, we were on the first floor. Ask for a 2nd floor table near the front windows. You'll have a great view of the parade.

Mazel Tov (congratulations) on your upcoming Wedding. Congratulations to ALL the Disneymooners!! We'll be celebrating our 23rd anniversary shortly before our trip (so we'll celebrate it at Disney of course). I want to eat and/or swim at the Poly for the occasion since we went to Hawaii on our Honeymoon (which actually corresponds with the date of our WDW trip--we had a few weeks delay before Honeymoon).

OMG!! Whatever ride we're on... we're on it together. I just got another $500 bill from the anesthesiologist today. Funny you mention the Maytag repairman. Last week our fridge went on the fritz. Found out there was a recall (that could be the problem), so the Maytag repairman came, repaired the recall, left.... fridge still didn't get down to temp. so he came back again. It took a couple of days to get our fridge working again (fingers crossed). We didn't have to buy a new one yet!

Hope your DH's ankle heals asap! If not, don't forget that you can do scooter rentals in every park. That' would be better than hobbling around on crutches at Disney. Too much walking for that.

Its time for us to have some good luck!! Now where is that money tree in my yard that Lois mentioned! Its getting plenty of water this week!

I know Flying Fish and Narcoossee's are definitely out. We still have Cat 1 seats at Aloha, but after hearing what Nikki said about the show, I don't know if I want to spend $250 OOP for it.

We are getting soaked here as well. It looks like we're neighbors - we're from MD! Maybe we should both buy lottery tickets - our luck has to change soon.

Hi, we live in Ashburn, in Loudoun County. Where in Md do you live? DH grew up in Beltsville and me in Greenbelt. We're neighbors!

Got my Disney Visa bill. I had forgotten about the $400 A/C repair and DH's Honda $300 Honda repair. At least I'm getting Disney reward dollars on it all!! I'm not even buying a new Vacuum! We'll have to live in dust (at least I have some stick vacs).

We loved the Aloha show. I wish I'd gotten tier 1 seats! Its not that much more, and it is worth it for a better view (we're short). We probably will buy fewer souvenirs like the photos they take at the end of rides! Maybe Grandma will spring for it?! I'm worried about the price of gas by July since we're driving. At least its cheaper in the south and I can plan and wait to fill up when we get to Ft. A.P. Hill. This morning I told DH I thought we should bring our U of M alumni assoc. insulated backpack coolers to the parks with us. If we bring snacks, it'll save big bucks. Especially since the smaller kids don't finish bowling ball sized muffins and cookies! I hope I can still buy my collectibles. I collect those African beaded animals from the AK and I also collect the WDW Parks edition Precious Moments figurines. I like to buy 1 of each, each trip.

NO WAY! They are "magical calories" They make you feel full allt he while not adding to any of the fat you have on your body...

Yes Yes... that's it!!!! I've NEVER gained a pound at DISNEY!!!!!

actually I usually don't (all that walking) unless I'm on the meal plan!!! That's the weight gain plan!!
