And on a sad note...I could really use lots of thoughts/prayers for my DH's brother. He was shot last night in the lower back by a shot gun. We don't have any details or know why really. From what his girlfriend says, it was a guy that was just shooting down the street. But he's heavily sedated right now. He's OK at the moment, but the dr's say it can go either way. So thoughts & prayers please!

He's in my prayers!

I just did online check in too - I am nervous about it - all we requested was connecting rooms - hopefully they have that in the reservation cause there was nowhere to request it.

I did the online check in today too. I requested a room in a specific area of our resort but it wasn't noted anywhere that I could see nor were my girls birthdays.
I guess I'll make sure the birthdays are noted once I get there and cross my fingers that I get near the area that we prefer.

Just got back from the fabulous sale at Justice. They have the cutest Mickey tee there. Mickey's wearing sequin shorts....his hands are on the back of the tee as if he was giving you a hug....cute! I wish they had adult sizes too because I would have gotten one for both of my girls and myself. Unfortunately they didn't have the sizes that we need. Bummer.........
BUT I did grab a bracelet/necklace set for each of my girls. "Cinderella" will leave these birthday gifts wrapped in pretty little boxes and sitting on each of the girls pillows one day while we are out. They'll be so surprised.

I am thrilled to say that I think I have convinced my hubby that we need to start driving a day early so we can arrive sometime around noon with plenty of time to swim and do a little sightseeing. We've never been to the Polynesian so I thought that would be fun.......grab a quick bite to eat at Captain Cooks, wander around the resort, and then watch the fireworks from there before heading back to our room. A great way to start the week.

I'm so excited that I can't hardly stand it!

I got DD an adorable Mickey tee at Justice...purple tye-dye with a pink peace sign and Mickey in black. It reads "Peace, Love and Mickey!" I didn't see the one where he was wearing sequin shorts. She did have me pick up the animal print tee with the smiley face so she could wear it to AK!

And I haven't shopped at Justice yet for my oldest daughter, but I may have to swing by to look for that Mickey tee! Sounds so cute!

Darn you people, tempting me do even more shopping for this trip!

I already bought DD10 two Tink shirts and then saw a new one at Target today but I resisted...also bought both DDs two matching t-shirts at the Disney Store Outlet online (Minnie and ... Daisy? I can't remember!), and bought DD14 a cute Minnie shirt at Wal-Mart...so DD10 has four character shirts and DD 14 has three. Now I'm wondering if I have time to go to Justice before we leave on Friday so that DD10 can have a Mickey shirt, too. LOL Stop tempting me!!!

I've been working on our 2007 Disney trip scrapbook today, trying frantically to get that done. Also still need to put my park planner book together but I had to buy new printer cartridges today so I can finish printing everything out for that. The Cool Blast misters that I ordered arrived yesterday (yea!) and I talked with our housesitter/petsitter today to confirm everything with her again. Tackled the mountain of laundry in my bedroom today so I can start packing my things. My packing will be easy -- several pairs of lightweight khaki shorts, a skirt, sundress, lots of white shirts (I'm boring -- I will be wearing pretty much mostly white and khaki -- it's cool and lightweight, and I won't have to worry about clashing with anything in any pictures that we have taken -- always the practical scrapbooker! )

So if you're looking for me at WDW, chances are pretty good that I'll be wearing khaki shorts and a white shirt (I think I have about 20 white shirts/t-shirts, not counting blouses and sweaters for work -- I absolutely love a clean, fresh white shirt!)...and brown Malindi Crocs. Boring, I know. I don't have any character shirts myself but I'm going to buy a couple on our trip. I'm excited about that!

I told my girls that their bedrooms have to be clean, all laundry done, and their stuff packed by Thursday night. No last minute rushing on Friday...I have a hair appointment on Friday (must have a fresh haircut/color before I meet the princesses!) and the only other thing I want to do on Friday (besides checking in here with my DIS friends...some people should be back from their trips by then!) is load the car and get on the road.

My girls are trying to convince me that we need pre-trip pedicures...we did that last time and had Mickey heads put on our toes (not lime green, though...hmmm.....) so I'll have to figure out if we can squeeze that in this week...or I can just do it myself. That would be quicker and easier (not to mention cheaper)...but there's something so relaxing about a pedicure! I looked into taking the girls for pedicures at WDW but the prices at the spas are more than double what I pay here for a spa pedicure so we decided to pass.

All this talk about Mickey t's at Justice...I already promised DD14 we would go to Hollister next week to pick up a few new things for her for school (love clearance!) and Justice is just a few stores down from Hollister at the mall.... Stop tempting me!

You sound like me!! I am trying to finish up my beach scrapbook album from last summer. I am nearing the end as fas as events go, but good grief did I take a lot of pics for such a short trip!! I must be done before we leave cause I can't come home and need to finish this one and start on Disney too! Good luck on yours!!

I took DD to the salon at the Grand Floridian a few summers ago. She just had her hair french braided. There is also a salon over at the Beach Club.

That said - you are very brave!!
