*~*~*~*Official January 2017 Thread*~*~*~*~

After doing some more research about Pro Bowl week I decided to push us to the week after. We're now at CBR 1/29-2/06. After reading this in the Disney blog "The Pro Bowl teams’ practices, an NFL Flag football event and other youth football events will take place at our sports complex." I nightmares about the marketing machine might turn this week into...

Now the question becomes... Go to the park or watch the Super Bowl? But that is a question for the Feb board. :)

Just made our first ADR this morning (tea at the GF), so it's mostly official! My two sisters, their friend, and I will be there January 8-15, and we're hoping to do a split stay between AoA, Sapphire Falls (@ Universal), and somewhere else TBD. This will be our longest trip to Orlando and we're so excited! We loved Disney in January last year, though I wouldn't mind a little less of the freezing winds this time around!

I remember seeing a Memory Maker "group order" last year somewhere, but I can't seem to find it anymore (it might have been on the EasyWDW forum?). Can someone point me in the right direction?

Got our ADR's figured out and lined up and booked.. Thank goodness for the DlxDP.. :)

We have:

7th: Ohana dinner
8th: Akershus breakfast
9th: Tusker lunch
10th: 50s PT lunch
11th: Crystal Palace breakfast, BOG lunch

I'm super happy with everything, but now two people have told me that 1900 PF is lots of fun for dinner so I was thinking of adding that dinner on our AK day and nixing the 50s PT OR adding it and then paying for 50s out of pocket. Or should I leave it as is? Any thoughts?

I LOVE 1900 Dinner!! It's expensive so you wouldn't want to pay that out of pocket! I'd go with both -- 50's is a lot of fun and not very expensive (it's not a buffet). You could easily pay that out of pocket.

That's what I'm thinking. I just needed someone to help me justify it! :thanks:

Hi all!!! We will be there 1/27-2/3 at OKW! So excited!!! It's my little ones first trip ever and the countdown seems to be moving so slowly. He will be two, and we can't wait!

Hi Every one! We're booked 1/24-1/31 at CBR. Thoughts on what Pro Bowl is gonna do to the crowd levels? I am nervous, but I am also like its Pro bowl.... Its not a major holiday and its not SuperBowl

I am wondering this as well!! We have MK scheduled for Saturday the 28th, but im worried thats the parade day. For those of you who have been on a big parade day how crowded is it usually? We plan to be there for rope drop ride and fastpass and then take a resort break before coming back for dinner and a few rides later in the evening. Its still early enough I can move things around, but I really wanted MK to be little man's first ever park. :worried:

We made plans before we knew about the pro bowl. Arriving for one offsite night 1/28, then Polynesian for 6 nights! Hoping we miss most of the pro bowl crowds other than those first two days. One thing I did do was book our first night off site much earlier than I normally would have. Just in case there's no availability later.

We just booked at ASMu in a family suite for January 21-30!!! It will be me, hubby, DS12, DD9, DS7, and DD3. This is our first time staying at ASMu. We are SO excited!!

Heather

Just booked our dining today and got everything we wanted! Here's our plan:

1/15: dinner at Chef Mickey's

1/16: dinner at Rainforest Cafe (outside AK)

1/17: 8:05 breakfast at BOG (yay!)

1/18: dinner at 50's Primetime

1/19: BBB at 2:30 for my daughter (it's her 5th birthday trip) and Cinderella's Castle dinner at 5:30

1/20: Biergarten dinner

1/21: breakfast at 1900 PF

I'm super excited now! BTW, for some reason sci fi was unavailable for this time period - not sure why. My TA made the ADRs and had no idea.

This sounds amazing!!!

Thanks. It took a reasonable amount of time to figure out places to eat for this trip. One of our friends that is going is a fishetarian (vegetarian but eats fish?) and my wife is still figuring out what seafood she likes. I think we mixed it up pretty well and that some of the places will accommodate our friend. :)
