Official January 2015 Thread!!!

We are going January 24-30th and staying at SSR-THV. It will be myself, DH, 8 yo DS, 4 yo DS, 3 yo DD, and MIL and FIL.

We booked our ADR's now just (im)patiently waiting to book our FP+.

Hoping to maybe do PL for the boys and BBB for our DD.

They don't know about the trip and I am thinking we will surprise them on Christmas morning with it. If we told them now there would be questions daily of when are we leaving!

I talked to my mom about switching resorts with the discount, as we have a LM at AoA and they are excluded... and she said she still wants to stay there. So I guess we won't be budging. LOL! Oh well...

ADR's booked.
DME booked.

Now I'm just waiting for November for our FP+ to open up, I have my list all printed out of what I would LIKE to get and WHEN, and hopefully I'll have some pixie dust sprinkled down on me and everything will work out beautifully.

My dd will be finding out in less than 4 weeks on her birthday!! So excited!!

Switched from a standard room at POFQ to a Royal Room with a River View at POR and saved $600!!!

It's for my youngest daughter's birthday trip! She's going to love it!! She adores anything with princesses!

Spent a combined 2.5 hours on hold today (1st call dropped after over an hour but finally got through and saved $600 on our SSR reservation! Was hoping for 35% but 30% will do! So glad this wait is over. Next up, Fastpasses!

I scored an awesome BOG reservation today! Now I'm happy with all of the reservations I've been able to get, even though I started well after the 180 mark!

Booked our first family vacation ever! Me, DH, & DS(4) will be in Disney from January 19-January 23rd and then more than likely staying on Disney property while we explore Orlando and the surrounding area over that weekend. This will probably be our only Disney trip (well, for at least 4-5 years minimum) and I'm super excited and nervous about doing everything "right" to make the most of it! But mostly just excited!

Just keep in mind that there is no "right" way to do things as it's whatever is right for you and your family. Everyone enjoys things differently so just make sure whatever plans you make are things that all of you will enjoy and you'll be fine. You are however, in the right place to ask any questions you may have as there is a wealth of knowledge on these boards.

I'm sooooooo excited, first trip to the world ever and have our bookings done!
Just need to finalize Touring Plans so I can work out where to add the FP+s and I think, I think, that's it!! (that cant be right, can it?!)

So far:

• All international and domestic flights booked
• DME confirmed
• MM purchased
• 10 day park tickets purchased
• 12 nights at POR in Garden View Royal Room locked in (got the room only discount)
• 12 x TS ADRs confirmed (inc 2 x BOG Dinners & 3 x Character dining)
• Park days arranged, just need to work out order of attractions/entertainments

I can't believe how excited I am!!!!
No one that I know (apart from DH) has ever been to a Disney Park so its really hard to explain how exciting this is to people who don't get the magic of the parks

January 16th-24th at POFQ. This not our first trip but will be the longest. Most of our ADR's are done now, just holding back meal credits so that if our plane arrives close to on time we will not be paying OOP for lunch!

Haha I know how you feel! I happened upon it by complete accident. I had searched for BOG availability two minutes prior and there was no availability and then suddenly one appeared. I wasn't even looking for BOG, but forgot to change the park I was searching for! The reservation I got was for the 30th, so there's still hope!

We switched to the Yacht Club for our January stay. This morning I switched most of our ADR to coordinate with the new resort choice. Becoming very excited and we still are around 75 days out!
