We just planned a few trips this year (we just got annual passes) and are going in May, September, and November and then January 2015. Do you guys have a Facebook group?

Not yet, but I was planning on firing one up once we got critical mass. There are probably enough people on here, so I'll do that and post a link.

How are you all booking your trips yet? When I go online to try and price things out, the latest date I can put in for arrival is December 31, 2014. We are looking to go the first full week of January, like the 4th through the 10th, or so. Are you all calling and talking to a live person or is it just DVC people being able to book now??

I'm a DVC owner, I can book 11 months out on points. However if you do want to book a room only, non-dvc, you would need to call... you typically can't book online for the next year until later in the summer due to dinning plan/ticket increases.

I'm a DVC owner, I can book 11 months out on points. However if you do want to book a room only, non-dvc, you would need to call... you typically can't book online for the next year until later in the summer due to dinning plan/ticket increases.

I hope I am posting this in the correct place, and hopefully someone can help me out. We have been to Disney for the past couple of years, so my little boy definitely has his favorite rides. So Jan 2015 he knows we are making a trip to Orlando, but he thinks we are only going to Universal and skipping Disney, but on his birthday January 14th we are going to surprise him with park hopper tickets just for the day and our plan was to let him visit all the parks and ride his favorite rides. Is this realistic? What type of crowds and weather should we expect? Our last 2 trips was in June and November. Is there anything that I could do to make his day extra special? Great restaurants to visit for birthday?He will be turning 9. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think you could get through all the parks in one day, but maybe prioritize 2 and book fast passes for his favourite rides? My son loves Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort, next to Magic Kingdom, and you can book a character meal there. If you are trying to fit a lot in though, I'd stick with quick service restaurants, maybe a classic like Cosmic Rays.

That's going to be tough, partially because the park hours aren't as long this time of year, particularly in the middle of the week. Start at the park that opens earliest and close down the latest park and you might have a chance, but you're better off prioritizing a couple of parks, I think. I'd also use a cab to get from place to place so you're not wasting time waiting.

Crowds will not be a significant impediment, though, and the weather, while a bit unpredictable, is generally very pleasant this time of year -- think upper 60s, low 70s, and drier.

I think we've decided to stay at AllStar Music...we've stayed at the other AS resorts and at POP twice, so we need to knock this one off the list. Maybe next time we'll try a moderate.

Any thoughts on AS Music? I'm thinking it will be pretty much just like AS Sports and Movies for the most part.

We had to cancel our Nov. Trip, but booked January instead.

We are going 1/12/15 through 1/17/15, staying at Grand Floridian Villas, studio lake view. (our first DVC trip!)

I promised DBF that this trip would be mellow, so not a ton of planning is going to be done.

I also just put in a request to the FB group.

Finally got the OK to book from DH! He's never been. Will be my kids and I 5th trip to the world. Have not been since 2009 when they were still Tweens. Beyond excited. Thinking of 1/24/15-2/1/15. Still haven't decided where we are going to stay. We have always stayed at Pop but kids are older now need more space but want to have as much together time as possible. Will be the last trip before my eldest leaves for college. Helppppppp. Don't even know where to start anymore haven't been on the Dis In a while.

I've not stayed there yet, but if you're looking at Values and need more space, I'd definitely look into Art of Animation. It looks fantastic! Perhaps someone that has stayed there can chime in?
