Anyone else already getting the pre-race jitters?
YES!!!

I've been up multiple times a night feeling anxious and, though I haven't had any race nightmares exactly, I keep having anxiety-ridden dreams about other stuff. This is the l o n g e s t week ever.
I will be the Witch Dr from Princess and the Frog.

Hi everyone,
Long time disboarder, but first time to this thread. Wish I would have found this sooner! Just curious if anyone has any tips for a newbie. Can't seem to find a lot of info about night races in particular.
Welcome! My only night race experience was the Expedition Everest Challenge. In addition to what's been said, my tips are:
~ Stay off your feet that day, as much as possible!
~Don't slack off on pre-hydrating in the hours before the race.
~ It's much harder to see dips/bumps in the pavement and random stuff (bushes, posts, etc.) along the sides of pathways in the dark. Be aware and slow down some as necessary. I may or may not have collided with the arm of a stray bench.
