Hi... I am going to stay at Dolphin and is planning for breakfast at both Ohana and Chef Mickey at around 8am. Any suggestion on how to get to the 2 restaurants? And how long it will take?

Hello ... welcome to DISboards!

Both resorts are on the MK Resort Monorail loop, so take the bus from Dolphin to MK. For CM, you can either walk to the Contemporary from MK (about 10 minutes) or transfer to the Resort Monorail for 1 stop. Ohana at Poly is not walkable, so you'll have to transfer to the monorail.

Tell the bus driver when you get on at Dolphin where you are going. You may (or may not) be dropped off at your destination without having to transfer.

Allow about 1 hour 15 minutes for each. It's likely to take less time than that, but you have to allow for the maximum wait times.

I will be traveling in about a month with my mother who definitely needs an afternoon break and a friend and her 5yo daughter (first timers) who may want to stay in the parks a bit longer. We will be staying at Bonnet Creek. Is it bad form for her to take the bus from a park like Magic Kingdom to Caribbean Beach Resort and for me to pick her up there? Are there any other good suggestions?

Thank you for your Quick reply. Looking at a google map it looks as though there are a few bus drop offs at the resort. I had imagined going in through the Buena Vista drive entrance but am now wondering if I should go in through Victoria Way and come in through the back. Any good suggestions?

Disney internal transportation is available to all guests (staying on/off property) free of charge. But, by taking the bus from MK to CBR, will she be walking over to Bonnet? I've stayed at Bonnet several times but never really took notice of the walking distance to CBR..I'd imagine it'd be about a mile or just over & to me, that's not exactly what I'd like to do on a break from the parks.

My suggestion for a nice break w/out going back to Bonnet is to take the monorail or boat ride to the nearest resort & relax there at a restaurant, lounge or find a spot on property to hang out a while. I enjoy relaxing on the Polynesian beach. There are plenty of spots to sit on the water or outside on their beautiful grounds & take in the atmosphere. Other options from MK that are a monorail or boat ride away are Wildnerness Lodge (boat), Fort Wilderness Campground (boat), Grand Floridian (boat or monorail), or Contemporary (10 minute walk or monorail). I've never been, but the Grand Floridian has a tearoom for lunch which might require an ADR but it sounds like another nice, relaxing option for a break.

Thank you. I don't think walking over is an option. I will have the car and my plan would be to drive over and pick her up. This would be easier than returning to the park to get her. I do need to get grandma back for an afternoon break and we can start lunch while my friend and her daughter stay in the park a little longer. Her daughter is 5. At this time have only 2 late nights planned in our trip. One for Fantasmic and one for Wishes. Also my daughter will want to ride some rides that the 5yo might not want to ride so we may separate a little later in the day, especially on our MK days. For us afternoon breaks are a must, my mother sometimes needs to leave by 1:00. I just am trying to figure out what my options are.

Private vehicles are not permitted to pick up or drop off guests at Disney bus stops. You could pull into the parking lot behind the bus stop and pick her up at the walkway.

Also, private vehicles cannot enter CBR from Victory Way. You'll have to enter thru the resort's main entrance and explain to Security why you're there. I think they will let you in if you show photo id.

Martinique is fairly close to the main entrance, and usually not very crowded. It's either the 1st or 4th stop for buses from MK (depending on the bus model), and usually the 4th stop from the other parks.

Another option is Old Port Royale, the next stop after Martinique. That's the location of the food court and gift shop, which are a short walk from the bus stop. She could hang out in there, and you could park out front and come in to find her.

Trinidad North follows Old Port Royale, and is usually the least crowded stop at CBR. She would have no trouble finding a seat there. But it's the 3rd or 6th stop from MK, and the 6th from the other parks.

Looking at the map, it seems to be the quickest option (or maybe bus from there instead?). I'll be staying at POP & would like to see if I can fit in a meal at Wolfgang Puck Express. I figured it'd be best to head over there after I'm done w/a park one evening instead of starting the day w/a late lunch due to timely transportation issues. I can better handle a longer ride after a day in the parks than getting ready to begin one.

SSR is a good option for transferring to DTD. Get off at the 1st stop (Grandstand); that way there's less risk of the DTD bus filling up before it reaches you. The bus will make 3 more stops in the resort, and then DTD Marketplace.

If you want to take the boat from SSR, stay on the bus from the park until the Springs, usually the 5th stop. But it's about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop to the boat dock, and another 10-minute walk from the DTD West Side boat dock to the Marketplace Puck's Express. There's an Express at the main Puck's restaurant on the West Side, but not as popular as the one at the MktPl.

Hi folks. Hoping to get some feedback on my little transportation plan here.

1. 7:00 AM ADR for Chef Mickey's. Coming from POR.
-Plan to just take a taxi. This is probably the fastest way right? I used the taxi fare calculator I found posted on these boards and it'll be less than $20 including tip and probably about 8 minutes. That's worth it for us, just want to make sure that's actually a realistic estimate.

2. 8:05 AM ADR for Crystal Palace. Coming from POR.
-We'd like to be at the gates at 730AM per recommendations on the Dis. We're willing to take a taxi, if that's faster, but know that we'll still have to transfer at the TTC or walk from CR. What would you recommend for the fastest option? Since we'll still have to transfer, are we saving any time by taking a taxi, or should we just take the bus from POR straight to MK?

Also, should I ask bell services to arrange the cab, or should I call a taxi company directly? How far in advance?

So there really is a boat that goes from EPCOT's international gateway to Disney Hollywood Studios? We have never taken this mode of transportation and since we will be park hoping one afternoon from EPCOT to DHS I thought this would be a fun way to get there. Just double checking that I understand correctly.

Contemporary Resort to Blizzard Beach by bus - I've searched an not really found a definitive answer: I realize the drive time is about 15 minutes but that's also divided between Animal Kingdom and DTD? So the actual bus rotation time is... ~45 minutes give or take? Or do they have more than one bus on that route?

I'm guessing driving to BB is probably preferable unless the bus is RIGHT THERE. ?

BB buses stop at AK; TL buses stop at DTD. BB and AK are so close to each other, it shouldn't add much to the drive time.

Right but roundtrip time would be about 30-40 minutes to go there, stop at both places and come back. So if we're at the bus stop just as its pulling away we've got about another hour to wait for the next one.. Is there just one bus that goes back and forth or two/several?

With a few exceptions, buses are not dedicated to a particular route. As a bus approaches a park, it is dispatched to the next run on the dispatch list for that park. It's actually more complicated than that, but that's the nutshell version.

The target is to have buses run no more than 20 minutes apart on each route. They run more frequently around park opening, dinner time, and park closing.
