Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

Our breakfast is at 8:45, MK opens at 9, right??
Most often, but it depends on the day of the week and time of the year. It could be as early as 7, including EMH (early opening for resort guests.)
And forgive me but I'm drawing a blank on what CR stands for :confused3
Contemporary Resort. Those boats start running at 6:45, but the boats to MK start as late as 1/2 hour before the park opens.

Unless you get one of the few VIP cabins in the 100 loop (or you'll be renting a golf cart), you'll need to take the bus from your cabin to the Settlement where the boat dock is located. You should be at the bus stop near your cabin about 90 minutes before your meal time, to allow for maximum wait times for each mode of transport.

No, the only transportation from CBR is a bus.

Or my car LOL. Thanks for the info. The Disney buses and me don't always get along and from what I hear about CBR, there could be a very long walk from your room to the bus depending on what building you get.

It's probably not the walk to the bus that's going to be bad depending on your room...there are multiple bus stops around the resort. But, if you want to get to the main areas, then yeah, it could be a longish walk. Some actually take the bus to get to the main bldg..from their room.

The funny thing??? I read in some guidebook, about 8 years ago, that you could take a boat to the parks from CBR!!! Yes, there is a lake there, but there are no 'outlets' that would allow you to go anywhere else!!! I can't imagine the poor people that read that guidebook, then booked CRB and when they arrived, asked where the boat to the MK was!!!

I am trying to figure out the easiest and fastest way to get from CBR to the Swan. We have a dinner ADR at Garden Grove and I'm trying to estimate how long it will take to get there. Thanks in advance for any advise. :goodvibes

Does anyone have the link to that transportation calculator that I have seen on here. Say if I wanted to go to a resort to another- it would tell you the easiest and quickest way? Thanks for any help. :)

Allow an hour: bus to DHS, then boat to the Swan.

I do, but I'll only post it if you promise to never, ever trust it.

I'm not kidding.

It's http://www.ourlaughingplace.com/aspx/twiz.aspx

Seriously it's great when it's accurate, but there are situations when it gives you a route that doesn't actually exist. You're better off just asking your questions here - we promise not to leave you waiting for a bus that doesn't exist.

If it were me?? I would just take a cab...CBR isn't all that far from the S/D....costs would be around $10ish....using the Disney buses will take an hour or so.

OLP seems to be working a wee bit more accurately, but still...I would use it only to get an idea. Then, come back here and get more trustworthy info.

Thanks I promise I will not trust it. I have been so many times and think I know alot of different ways, but want to see all the options- she has never been so I want it to be easy. I know WDW can be overwhelming for some. Thanks again!!

OK..I gotta know..

Has there been a definitive answer as to whether AofA and POP will share buses when AofA has been finished? Going in November and thinking about switching my BIG family and bus rides are a major issue. :lmao:

Or should I just rent cars? I have 3 car seat sized grandsons..:scared1:

Thanks in advance..

Hello! I have little to no experience with Disney transportation but I have a question. If I'm staying at the Art of Animation resort, how do I get to the Magic Kingdom? I assume by bus but does the bus take you directly to the park gates? Someone told me the bus drops you off at the Transportation Ticket Center place and you must take a tram to get to the Magic Kingdom?

The bus will take you directly to the park gates.

If you were to take a bus from one of the other parks, the bus would drop you off at the TTC.

AoA is open!! To the best of my knowledge, AoA and Pop are not sharing buses.

Thank you!:) Ok, that's weird though, the bus will drop you off from your resort at the park gates but if I took a bus from another park to the Magic Kingdom, it would drop me off at the TTC? Disney transportation is seriously frying my brain.

In his most recent entry on easywdw.com Josh shows a picture of the bus information sign at AK that shows the buses for AoA and Pop at completely different stop numbers (6 and 12 respectively, to be precise), so I'd say that's a pretty definitive no. :)

Great, that's what I thought.

May I ask, where the buss stop is in relation to the marina at FW? We have done the Trail's End buffet before, but I didn't notice any busses around.

Also, does it matter which internal bus I get on? They have different routes, right?

Thanks.
