Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

We have breakfast at 1900 PF at 10am. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but can we just take the bus to Magic Kingdom and then monorail it over to Grand Floridian or walk? Which is faster and/or easier with DS7 and DD4?

The fastest way would be to drive or take a taxi but, like you said, take your resort bus to MK and the the monorail to GF.
Have Fun!

Yes, take the bus to MK, walk over to boat dock or resort monorail, and take either to GF.
Walking is not an option.

What is the quickest way from DTD to Epcot directly? Is there a resort close to Epcot that we could take their bus instead of going back to our resort and then to epcot?

And if I wanted to get to the Floridian Resort to SS resort, what would be the fastest way?
DTD to Epcot...bus to either BW or BC, then walk in via the International Gateway.
GF to SSR...monorail to MK then take bus to SSR.
Both should take under an hour, but not by much...depending on wait times.

Yes, take the bus to MK....be at the bus stop by 8:45/9. When you get to MK, take the boat over to GF...if it's there, or coming in, it's much faster than the monorail. The monorail can take up to 25 mins, not including any wait times.
There is no way to walk between GF and MK. Where are you leaving from??

Actually, faster than the bus to BC, if you're at the Marketplace end of DTD, would be a 10 minute walk to the Congress Park bus stop at SSR, and then catch the bus from there to Epcot. That should take 25-40 minutes total, because you eliminate all the stops on the way to the BC, and Epcot is a straight shot from SSR.

We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge and have an 8.35am ADR at Cape May. Is it best to go to the MK then take a bus to the Beach Club - and are there even buses running from MK to BC that early?

Question 2.....WL to Akershus ADR at 8.30am - how early should we leave?

Thanks in advance! :)

Getting a bus to BC from MK at this time of day could be iffy. I would actually take the bus to DHS and then walk over to BC..or take the boat if it's at the dock or coming in...but the boat doesn't start running until an 8ish. I would be out at the DHS bus stop by 7:15. Or, just take a cab over.

From WL to Akershus for an 8:30 ADR, be at the Epcot stop by 7:15-7:30. It will take you about 15+ mins to walk from the front of Epcot back to Norway...so you want to be at the front of Epcot by 8:10.

Did and a search and couldn't find what I'm looking for. How do I get from MK to Cape May?

Hi! On Saturday July 23 there is a passholders only sale at the World of Disney store that starts at 6:30am and ends by 9:00am. Is there any way for me to get from Pop Century to Downtown Disney Marketplace that early in the morning using Disney transportation, or will I have to take a taxi? I'd like to get there before 6:30am if possible. Thanks!

If you want to assure your early arrival then you will have to take a taxi.
Have Fun I think I am going to this sale as well!
But by then I will have moved to Orlando to live next to the magic!!

When we did one of these, we hitched a ride with friends. If that's not possible, then you have to get a cab. There really isn't any other way to get there. After all the effort to get there, it was a complete zoo. And to add insult to injury, with a few exceptions, just about everything that was on sale at 6:30am, for passholders, was available all over the parks later that day.

We are arriving for the first time at 11 am, staying at All Star Sports on 8/14. We are wanting to go to Animal Kingdom to try to get onto Bug's Life before it closes for the summer, then hopping to Magic Kingdom for the rest of the evening. Is this possible thoughts with the shuttles or should I think about taxi?

I assume you mean " It's tough to be a bug".
AK closes at 6pm on the 14th, so I would think you should have plenty of time to get to AK enjoy ITTBAB once or twice and then get to MK which is open till 2am using Disney transportation.

Yes, That's it the ride, thank you! I have heard stories about shuttles taking long, but assuming it may be about 30-45 from All Star Sports to AK.

I would actually take the bus to the CR from AK...then you can walk over to MK from there. Or, take the bus to the GF from AK...then monorail one stop over to MK. Otherwise, if you take the MK bus, you will go to the TTC, and then have to either ferry or monorail over to MK. Would be quicker to head to either CR or GF and then to MK.

BTW, It's not a ride, it's a 3D show. It's one of my favs as well, I'll be there the week before you so I'll make sure I catch it too before it shuts down.

AllStar Sports is the closest resort to AK, so much will depend on how long you have to wait for a bus. I doubt you will have any problems getting there in plenty of time.
If you do get anxious you could take a taxi for about $10, it's only 2 1/2 miles from AS sp lobby to where the cab will drop you off at AK, And a short walk to the turnstiles. You could be in the park in 10-15 minutes at most.

Are there taxis available at Downtown Disney near Cirque or do I need to call one? If I need to call, what company services the area? I need to get to the castle for dinner following an early Cirque show and do not want to try Disney transportation. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The answer to your question is YES there are taxis on that end of the DTD area as well as points back to the east (Planet Hollywood, etc...) and I would most certainly catch a cab as you will be more than likely to make your adr!!
Have Fun!!
